Eurobserver wrote: Hi Anne, With all due and most sincere respect to you & everybody else: Shall I interpret your post as a kind of snub to the people here on the forum who for a variety of reasons didn´t have a practical opportunity to attend the search? Or is it that we are simply too opinionated here & being open to all sorts of possibilities? Either way, I think you can rest assured that we care very deeply about Maura and her fate. Thank you. Euro, I know what you are saying. And few have consistently challenged the old guard more than I have, but in this case, I think they have every right to congratulate themselves. Many of us come from different directions and backgrounds to this very emotionally difficult case. Some of those at the search were obviously invited. The rest obviously not. And that's just what an invitation is. It is, after all, THEIR search, not yours or mine or ours or anyone else's. Many of those at the search have established a level of friendship and trust that has transcended anything like an ordinary search. The last thing they need is for newbies like us, especially ones who continually challenge their motives or facts, to "invade" their turf. In many ways, their search is not just for Maura's body. It is something - if I may say this - like a sisterhood. It is a bonding of people deeply committed to righting a persistent wrong that will not go away if it does not get confronted. Yes, they have their clique-ish ways, but they also - it should be obvious - have a pain that will not be diminished by our presence. I know you mean well, but finding Maura - whatever "finding Maura" means - does mean different things to different people. You and I and people like us, regardless of our opinion of ourselves and the importance we attach to "the truth" and all that, are outsiders to a special sorority of the soul. It should be respected. If it's not, then no matter how legal and logical we may conduct ourselves and believe ourselves to be, violence against women will not end. This is our time to stay out and stay quiet. It was their moment. Please let them have what they deserve and have worked so hard for. Thanks for your understanding. Alden

Euro, With all due respect, there was no hidden message here. I only wanted to commend those whom have worked dillegently and quietly to solve the mystery of Mauras disappearance. I welcome all the diverse opinions here as it keeps me on my toes, so to speak! I belie ve you care as I do. By the way, I was not at the search.

Euro, I did not intend that you would feel snubbed, only that those who volunteered their time knew that I appreciated it! I know you care.

Euro, for what its worth i remember the post and I took it as you being a journalist and possibly wanting stories or ideas for a book or article. I however, do not believe those are your motives. And as far as your previous question, don't let it bother you in any way if thats how you took it.

As one of the newer members of what you might consider the old guard, Alden, let me just say--for myself, at least--no no no no, no please no. Come in. Thank you for that respect, but please. Come in, and welcome. I for one welcome ANYONE who genuinely feels a wrong was committed and needs to be righted. I welcome ANYONE who had the same experience I did--they saw that smile, those dimples, those eyes, and were captivated, and thought, "how could this be? how could anyone wish to diminish this world by taking that away from it? From her family, from her loved ones, from all of us?" That, to me, is the sisterhood. That Maura has become a sister to all of us. A child, a friend, a wife, a girlfriend, a classmate. She IS us.

Ok, from Anne and Wowzer's recent reposts, I'm delighted to learn that I'm not the only one to have posts go into limbo for several hours, only to return.
Apparently there are eddies in the space-time continuum tonight, or something. Don your tin-foil hats, everyone!

Anne wrote: Alright Euro, One more time, I will write! Since Topix moderator has refused to post my apology. Let me see if they will accept this one. I am sorry if you feel I offended you. simple enough? The problem is system wide, Anne, not with the moderator. I had the same issue and I, too, thought I was getting diverted by some meanie in the Tower of Topix. I only hope they don't post the rest of my "submitted" posts!

Wowzer, Whiston & all,
Last post for today (or rather tonight):
I believe I read some time ago on the old MMM forum before it closed that the Saturn at that point was sitting in a field by the NHSP barracks in Twin Mountain (?), if I remember correctly.

Beagle & all,
No disrespect whatsoever intended as I thought I had made abundantly clear in my disputed post. I´m deeply sorry & sincerely apologize if I inadvertently ruffled some feathers. With these words I say goodbye and wish you all the very best.
And this really shall be my last post on this forum. Thank you all.

It's not what is being said. I think Topix is having problems. My post to Whiston disappeared also so I replied again. Now all my replies have shown up. Whatver it was I think they fixed the problem

Alden There is no old guard figuratively or.... otherwise, there is no sisterhood either, hopefully there is only many of us involved in the search of what happened to Maura. I was not at the search. I am relieved to say this does not deter my search. There is no them or us as far as I am concerned. It must be it concerns you.
