Something that does not make sense to me is as follows: The idea that (Maura had no knowledge about her supposed attackers) does not reconcile with the "car was moved to another location scenario" theory. We are asked to believe that the availability and willing participation of a Maura look alike in a cover up, was not a part of a plan. Miracle of miracles? I don't buy it. Under this theory - its more reasonable to assume that the planners knew what Maura looked like, so they could place a look alike in the car to stand in. If we assume Maura would never be involved in such a plan - it is then reasonable to conclude that the car being moved is not the answer. Which, brings us back to three possibilities - Mr. Atwood, a cop that kills, or Maura leaving on her own or as a part of some unknown plot.

Told them how you tried to make me look like an ass while I was quoting the expert criminal profiliers whom have contributed to Maura's case. I see you are still at it........ You were the main reason why I beckoned Weeper to write on this forum. Keeping the facts straight and that Maura's is an active criminal investigation is paramount. Even though you're replying to JMO Firecat says it's expected that anyone can answer sooooo.... how wonderful you had a good laugh two Sunday's in a row.Believe me when I say that I think there are many laughing at you and a few others here too and not just on Sundays. No one has made you look like an ass. You're doing a fine job of that all on your own. For years some of you have accused, insulted, called names to the state of NH, the people of NH, the LE of NH and even the government of NH with no PROOF that a crime was even committed. It has been noticed by many and we are now sitting back and watching this site as a form of entertainment. It should have been a place of new ideas and opinions so it is truly sad that a few from the old site has turned this public forum into a replica of the old site where the same old and stale ideas are gone over again and again and again. JMO mentions the word obsessive and to outsiders looking in the obsessiveness of the old forum and now this one is very clear. Even though you may not agree with someone's idea or opinion they are free to voice it whether anyone here likes it or not. Open your eyes people. Why have all the locals left that came to offer ideas and help through the years. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

"May I remind the few that have issues with the people and the state and are so unhappy with NH that 93 and 91 go two ways. If you are so unhappy you can always get in your car and head south with no need to look back." Ouch, I got into my car and headed south. So, I guess I'm supposed to write off my family, my lifelong friends, a mortgage, and taxes? Yeah right! I would'nt write them off. If they are all unhappy too I'd take them with me.

Your pervasive optimism can hardly be faulted when you continue to offer reasonable assurance that the boogeyman does not lurk in NH. I share your opinion. Otherwise, such a concept is amusing. Assume that 'psychics' need to drum up a little mystery to keep the business going. As you are a shining example of stability, common sense and good cheer, it is in that spirit that I offer a slight diversion from the 24/7...nonsense. ;-) Thank you JMO. It's nice to see another that doesn't believe in the boogyman and feels safe in our beautiful state. The "little mystery" you speak of has gotten so deep that it has been necessary to wear boots around here. Not an easy feat in the summertime.

The first Maura Murray Forum was started by Helena, Norma, Sharon in November 2004. This Forum, as well as the 2nd Forum also included ALL missing, especially in NE. These Forums never turned away any other mentioned missing, in fact, just the opposite. There were many Links to other missing, formed by many MMM members as well as moderators. LvsNH, Lady Gray and Paris offer new information regarding another missing...this time found? and it is considered "Off Topic"...? A lemon..? Shame on you.....

excerpt from HP Albarelli Jr. Article published this past year.........
A former FBI profiler, who declined to be identified for this article, and who was asked to review the facts contained in this article, said, "Based on the materials I've seen I would not rule out anything, including a serial killer in one or both cases, especially the Murray case. With all the media and Hollywood focus on these type killers they have become all the smarter and deviousï". I also wouldn't rule out that either state could see a reoccurrence of these events sometime soon."
Dr. Maurice Godwin, a nationally recognized expert on serial killers, said last week,In my expert opinion I believe that a local individual who has killed at least two times previously is responsible for Maura Murray's abduction and murder. Maura locked her car as if she anticipated on returning to the car once she found help. Her attack and murder was for a sexual assault and the murder was to do away with her as a witness. Yes, I believe a stranger serial killer is responsible for Maura Murray's disappearance." Dr. Godwin said

Hey wait a minute, this is a thread called "Where is Maura Murray" Lady Grey was bringing something in about an unidentified female found. My heart skipped a beat and I looked for more info. To me this is very on topic!(( WHERE IS MAURA MURRAY )) Did you read that police are not saying if they found the other missing woman? And did they say this was the same woman as the one they were looking for? No, right now they will not say. While looking for more word, I found lots of "tricky" suspicious looking deaths in NH. Some were deemed unfortunate accidents.........like the lady face down in the woods, her car got stuck in the mud on the way home from her hostessing job. She had to walk from there to her not so far away fathers home. They think she fell? No health problems, young.. mid 40's I think. Lots of bodies in the River and some in the mountains unable to identify. For all we know, that's the 75% chance of prosecution. That they have found her, cannot say how she died for reasons too awful to repeat. I guess we wait and see on the latest findings and like Lady Gray said, it may or may not be Maura.

elsewherebriefly wrote: Wowzer & JMO, The person(s) responsible for Maura's disappearance has done it before and will do it again. Numerous experts have stated this time and time again. Good Morning, elsewherebriefly ~ You may be correct in that a criminal, yet to be identified, may strike again. Equally plausible, is that the location of Maura Murray's crime has not been definitively established, and perhaps took place across one or more jurisdictions. Therefore, the state of NH and its government authorities cannot be presumed to be at fault for their STILL ONGOING investigation, and until further findings have been advanced. Repetitive and endless speculation is a problem, IMO, and both seem to serve little purpose other than to enmesh individuals in their own thought processes....the constancy of which takes on a life in and of itself. It seems no one can agree on a theory, and so the tangents of theories are developed...nearly to the point of fantasy. I do not pretend, for a moment, to have an answer. I applaud the commitment and compassion to this endeavor...and it is very worthy, indeed. Tainting all of New Hampshire as to be crime-ridden, while attempting to engender fear amongst residents and visitors, however, is over the top...IMHO. NAMING individuals, as we have seen here, purely by way of speculation and rumored information by citizen-investigators is harmful. Such methods and attempts to solve the crime of Maura Murray's disappearance cannot be justified. Like Wowzer, I, too, would find it an affront if my home state or chosen state were to be attacked with constancy. It seems quite natural to take up in defense of one's community. Wowzer's self-defense, and I have found her replies to be very appropriate and reasonable, express another view, and the launching of a pile-on/personal attack is unnecessary for others to make their points. It has the mark of immaturity...and worse. So, all in all, I DO understand and appreciate everyone's efforts. It has just become nearly ridiculous by way of extreme speculation. I am an observer...removed from the process. I don't wish to sabotage or criticize in a hurtful way. However, I will always speak up on behalf of others...while still hoping very much for resolution for Fred Murray and his family. There is where my greatest sympathy and compassion lie. Thank you for consideration of my opinion. JMO

The "little mystery" you speak of has gotten so deep that it has been necessary to wear boots around here. Not an easy feat in the summertime. I don't believe in the boogyman either but I also found that a man who's been in jail for 30+ years will be allowed to go home to his state of NH any day now. He tried to abduct a 12 year old boy in the 70's and when the child ran, he shot him in the face. Is he likely to try something, yes. That's how profilers get there info. This very man was supposed to be out sooner, but he also planned to commit a homocide while in jail. It's this kind of thing that realistically can bring out the boogyman in anyone. Did he do this before, maybe and maybe not. The attorney general tried to fight this man coming home, but lost.

Forgot to add that I do agree that we have made mountains out of some 'molehills'. I've been reading the same wild stuff over the years. Makes you wonder if people are insincere and if so, then they know who they are. I've said some out there things myself, getting caught up in the drama this has made. But dang it, there's not much else to do but chew the fat and try not step on anyone's feet 'til we find out where Maura is. So I thank all the locals, posting here or not, for continuing to care enough to offer their help and insight. And it's comforting to me to see the same people offering their help in the only ways they can. A peaceful Sunday to all.

Paris, Thanks for that post. The man who abducted, raped, and strangled Tammy Belanger and another little girl down in Florida a year prior, Christy Luna, is scheduled to be released from prison in 2012, it's on my blog. He was incarcerated for peeking into the windows of two little girls in an apartment complex down in Florida. Although he admitted to the murders of the two little girls to dozens of fellow inmates, when questioned by authorities he says he's innocent.
