I'm not sure I understand. The only way that records like that are available is if there is a court order like I said. So usually the “crime” is long over. I am pretty sure I have read that the police did obtain all cell phone records in this case and tracked Maura (the cell phone) by the pings on the towers as far as they went and it has been discussed on the MMM forum if not here. What I was talking about was real-time when Maura was talking on the phone with unsuspecting people. Not forensic evidence well after the fact.

Hello WTF & all,

I seem to remember that there has been an unsubstantiated rumour going around on this forum and on the ex-MMM board that Maura might have had some kind of friend/acquaintance living on the Lime Kiln Road, Haverhill.
Again, this rumour may well be completely unfounded. Reading about Lime Kiln Road just brought it up in my mind.

Yes, I believe this was quite some time ago.
Again, with no search function available it´s rather tricky to go back and find the relevant posts in question...

If my memory doesn´t let me down I seem to recall that it was being said that the Lime Kiln Road rumour originated locally, but that nothing was ever substantiated.

Also, this would only be useful information if Maura had arrived safely at her destination and actually placed those calls. Those calls were never made. So there's nothing to trace.

I know Maura's phone service was up and running until fairly recently, in case there was any activity. Don't know the details off top of my head, but the phone company was keeping her number open for just such a possibility.

I know that most probably think that I don’t like Shack or Sophie. While I am sure they don’t care but, I don’t. I don’t even know them. What I don’t get is why if you are going to write something and invest the time and effort why not write something worthwhile instead of whining about the locals. Aren’t you one of the local people? How long will it be before you recognize that tactic of beating up the locals doesn’t seem to be panning out? I know you are older but I know nothing of your situation. Even if you are wheelchair bound you can set up a table locally and spread the word instead of bad mouthing people. Will these people actually bad mouth Fred and his family to your face? You strike me as someone that would have the courage to answer back to that wouldn’t you? You more that anyone here it seems to me, are in a position to be doing something far more productive than what you seem to be doing. You actually live in that area, have local knowledge and probably more access than most.

Just some things I have noticed. Do whatever you want with them. I’m sure I’ll catch it in the teeth for this but I really don’t care anymore.

hi firecat and all, if Mauras phone went to NH and it was turned on it would be searching for service and would as i understand have shown up on a tower.if memory serves this actually happened when Dru Sjordin was taken by that filth.again going from memory a ping was detected but it was assumed the battery had died in the phone at some point.lime kiln rd was where sgt Smith went after the weathered barn .there was a report of a suicidal youth.take care philip

It is a sad day, one North Haverhillyoung person and one Haverhill young person have been arrested for killing a Vermont youth. Where does the violence of our youth (all under 30) come from? The Union Leader states they will be arraigned tomorrow morning.
