Judged: 4 4 4 I'm no longer offering any information to this forum. It is used for entertainment purposes by a few people that have nothing better to do with their lives. They run in a pack like a bunch of rabid coy dogs and attack anyone that gets in their way and then pat eachother on the back for a job well done. They are ALWAYS right. They are ALWAYS smarter. Just ask them and they will tell you. It's gotten to the point that it's sickening. It's funny how you go away for a few days and come cack to find that nothing has changed, nothing useful has been added and it's the same old crap. This forum has been ruined by a few that have turned it into the old MM forum which made no headway in 4 years in finding out what happened to Maura. What a shame. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Trust me when I looked at myself it's usually after a good nights sleep! But sadly most of what you say is very true! Thanks! Maybe one day there will be a place for those us who take time from our work and lives to go and do something vs those who hide behind screen names doing nothing to FIND MAURA!

Judged: 4 3 2 there. They would blend well into the environment and mind set of the Haverhill area. To be delicate, they couldn't spell Mensa..."two to change a light bulb".... And another hateful quote: Sophie, just shake your head and snicker. And, think amusing thoughts about genetic testing in Haverhill. Ya know, "I'm my own grampaaah". As long as this women keeps making these hateful remarks and continues to be patted on the back this forum will be nothing more than a bashing site with no useful information coming forward. Who in their right mind would want to help after reading these comments and these are only two, there are more. She thinks she is even better and smarter than her own family that lives up here. Such dislike and disdain does not go unnoticed and it's obvious she uses this forum for entertainment and added drama to her life as much as she claims she is here to find Maura. I no longer believe that after seeing her in action. If anyone ever decides to start a new site where hate mongers are not allowed please let me know as I would be more than happy to help in any way I can to find some real answers. I can offer physical help also since I live so close. |

Judged: 4 4 3 My conclusion after reading post #8007 and innumerable others is that, indeed, there is a group united in philosophy and approach to Maura Murray's disappearance that has closed ranks long ago...probably from the time of the original MM site. In doing so, they have also closed their minds to the contributions of others while simultaneously demonstrating their intolerance by projecting the words "hate" and "viciousness" onto "locals". Progress comes to a halt while their egos are served. The pattern then repeats itself. Despicable assumptions are made about "local" individuals, their families, and the culture of northern New Hampshire. Your offer to assist, Wowzer, is genuine...and should be hard to refuse. |

Judged: 3 3 2 I guess they're like trolls in that you just shouldn't even get into the game with them! My husband chuckles to himself and does not respond when confronted with this kind of heavy-handed abuse/manipulation. It's hard to win because THEY have picked the game! Back to Maura. |

Judged: 3 2 1 I have been meaning to address this question as I have seen it posted several times. When information is obtained through FOI which I believe this was. People often don’t understand that those requests are pretty specific and by their nature must be. You don’t ask for all information between the hours of midnight on 2/8/04 and midnight on 2/11/04. It doesn’t work that way. If you ask for information related to the call where Maura was involved in and accident that is what you get. Just because other things occurred around the same time they may not be included if not part of the request. That is the way most FOI requests are handled to my knowledge and most states behave pretty much the same way. There really is no surprise that there are no references to other activities during the same time because there was no requirement to release that information under FOI. Depending on their definition of what was involved in this FOI there may be no need to give that requested information. I’m not saying this for discussion. You may agree or disagree but this is the way it is interpreted in many jurisdictions. Just the volume of information that can be pulled into a FOI can be enormous and that is how many states/jurisdictions try to deal with the amount of data that can be involved with an “ill or poorly defined” request. Love it, hate it, it’s the way it is. For an FOI to valid it has to be pretty specific and that specificity helps reduce the amount of information that is required to be released for the FOI act. You may not like it but it is a reasonable approach and its one that probably neither side is happy with. Bill |

Judged: 2 1 1 I am not going to speak for anyone else but it just seems really odd that the time frame I've been questioning for years is blank. The fact that red trucks were pulled over in the hours to follow confirmes to me that there is more than meets the eye. |

Oh and for the record, I have not read the Grafton County Dispatch Log.

Judged: 2 2 Here's something you may want to review and consider. I do believe that the information you conveyed is your area of expertise and your opinion is to be respected. Here is something that I came across while researching Maura's case and it totally blew my mind and for good reason. Please keep in mind that the civil statute of limitations is (3) years in the state of New Hampshire and what was slated to be destroyed were the originals with letters and materials attached. Interesting how these important documents landed at the bottom of the page under misc. They are the Governor's & Executive Council Meeting minutes for 2006. http://www.sos.nh.gov/archives/PDF/General_De... |

Judged: 1 1 1 I wouldn't mind at all. My husband is a licensed certified peace officer who is on duty even when he is off duty. It happens frequently with him - this is why he has a pager and as a family we acknowledge that it can and will happen. It is a creed amongst them. |

Here's an illustration of how limited the use of this (or any similar) board really is, though many people may understandably wish otherwise sometimes.
Right now, tonight, there is a male, young, short height, long hair, who looks like the pictures of MM, and who is riding in a somewhat older, 3/4 to 1 ton red Ford pickup, high ground clearance, with one or two other people (apparently one male and one female). They are staying at a motel near Amherst. For a male, he looks very much like MM and could easily have been the male double previously "suggested." But statistically this probably means nothing. It is most likely coincidental and unrelated, regardless of the striking similarity of appearance, the location (between Amherst and I-91 North), and the make and model of truck. He has been acting weird around a young woman (according to the young woman) who works at the motel where he is staying. He has tried to be alone with her in a somewhat inappropriate setting, and in a somewhat intrusive way. But nothing really bad. She feels somewhat uncomfortable and presumably somewhat unsafe near him, but not so distressed that she has done much about it (at least as far as can be determined). But this information is understandably useless. You cannot call the cops and say, "Hey, there is a guy who looks like MM who is riding in an older, raised up, red Ford pickup with one or two other people staying near I-91, and he reportedly acts weird around a young woman who works where he is staying." One, the police would probably laugh and take no interest. Or two, they would probably blame you for trying to distract them, and quiz you about your motives and so on. Plus, who wants to drag a probably innocent, unconnected person into something like this? It's probably just another one of those potentially scary things that make you take notice, mainly because of what has been said regarding the MM case. However, it makes you think just a tiny, little bit about saying something to the police, but realistically it is too groundless and too vague a thing to report. It's almost like watching a TV crime show (drama) and thinking, when you later see something similar occur in real life, that you should call the police - but you are probably wasting your time and theirs. It's now almost five years later. Many, many coincidences like this have probably come and gone. But after reading what has been written about the case, your focus can become too attentive, too suspicious... something like this does catch your attention a little. You just keep your fingers crossed, knowing it's very probably a meaningless coincidence. |
