also... I work in telecommunications - now on the business side mpls/voip. 17 years prior it was wireless. The londonberry site is just a name. All towers are given a name- ususally the city/street they cover. Since wireless is line of sight - this tower would NOT be in londonberry - it would provide coverage for that area. depending on the terrain you can pick up a tower that is a great distance away if the line of sight matches up. Here in seattle on the waterfront you can pick up canada - even though its 130 miles away. I reached out to a friend at sprint and am trying to find the actual location of the tower. She had CDMA service - the phone sends a ping almost constantly as the towers hand off. If that was the last ping - out of coverage and if it never pinged again - it was turned off or the batt died. hope that helps. She did NOT need to be in Londonberry to get a hit off that tower.

FireCat wrote: <quoted text> Two thoughts on this: 1. Is MA one of the states that puts tags on the license plates?(does ANY state still do that?) 2. This photo is from when the car was sitting in the field-lot adjacent to NHSP. Had registration info been removed by then? The license plates are off, too, so I wonder if the reg tags had been removed by then. A lot of the generic questions I see on this forum can be answered with a simple Google search. Yes, Firecat, the Mass registration sticker is affixed to the upper right of the license plate. The Saturn's inspection sticker is still visible on the lower passenger side of the windshield in this photo - http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n10/Murray... It has the number "10" on it as expected, considering it's registered in Fred's name and inspections are performed annually during the month of the registrant's birth date, October in this case.

A quick search of the word squaw doesn’t say anything like that. <quoted text> Bill These many years later, I frankly don't remember -- I do recall it was a contraction of the word "umsqaw". There is in fact a fair amount of controversy even in Indian Country about whether the word has the association I mentioned or is a legitimate word meaning "woman" -- the meaning I understand for it is what I gave and what always sticks in my mind.

Oh FireCat I would love to be able to be in media by day! Sadly doesn't pay that well in the sticks. So my media experience I actually fell into by fire!! My family is big into community service and they decided through a lens was a good way to serve! A report goes to the accident, family, ect takes the notes. Writes it up gives it to the editor who will do their thing then it gets transfer to press! For me because it's small town and I'm blonde I make mistake but our paper runs retractions. For the story I wrote I took notes I had HPD proof then my editor who is law grad taking a break yea! So anything quoted has to be able to be documentated and stand in a court of law. Since I don't make my living from the media it's not an issue to present what is said to me. But drama sells we all know that so some take a part of the quote and get away with it! Which I don't believe it right but that's me! Does that help? FireCat wrote: <quoted text> Thanks for clarifying. I also suspect that people who don't work in the media, as you do, often don't realize how their statements are going to sound as sound bites. You do, of course, because it's what you do for a living (even though you take photos, you still presumably work in a newsroom and know what I'm talking about), but the average person doesn't think about how something's going to sound when quoted in a newspaper. And you're right. No two would react the same. Here's hoping no one else has to find out. My own parents are getting older, and it's not something I'm looking forward to possibly having to deal with one day.....

Dang, dawn, where have you been all our lives? Thanks for reaching out to this friend. Be interesting to see what info your friend comes up with. However, there seems to still be some confusion. The affadavit reads that it was a phone call TO Maura, and that THIS PHONE pinged Londonderry (with a D, obviously not a name Seattleites are used to). Not Maura's phone. But still. It may be useful.

hi Dawn and Firecat.I was told that Muara was asked to leave westpoint and i have no doubt it happened.I have also been told that there were no clinicals that Maura could have attended in Norwwod M.A.at that time, never mind the almost 2 hour drive, one way.Again look at where the information on the old forum came from. Why it was posted, my guess is as good as yours.Again NOBODY at umass was close enough to Maura to call her and ask how she was doing after the 'death in the family' emails and Maura knew this. That is odd to me.Where is the rest of the phone bill and what was on it.We have been given slivers of Mauras life.Whether some maybe true, who knows. We dont know Maura called the Salamones about a room, they dont' remember the call.We dont know why Maura called Stowe V.T.the last 4 calls on Mauras phone were not to anyone that answered.I would like to ask anyone if Maura had another cell phone before the one she got from Sharon Rausch. As Moose pointed out anyone could have checked Mauras messages as no access code was required. Can someone remind me what puts Maura and the saturn in Amherst on Monday feb 09 2004 that has been made public.take care philip

FireCat have been blessed to be around more than just the newspaper trust me an eye opening experience at times I do know more than the average bear at times just blonde and in the way! For every quote it has to start somewhere. For me personally the first rounds of papers ect. are where I return. As a case like this goes on it because telephone remember that game you whisper something into one's ear and by the end it's different. Quotes have to be quoteable! FireCat says "WhiteWash it full of white wash" The article go like these while having tea over at the FireCats house "WhiteWash it full of white wash". Now this could have happen in your yard but it's still your house! Do I think the media changes the quotes no do I think certain sources beef it up or are just clueless sure. New Hampshire relies heavily on Room & Meals tax and many of my family's and friends' property taxes have skyrocketed. Ridiculous or not it's the truth. I saw a ray of hope last night from Sophie's threads that we would be able to work together but you have just dashed that hope into the ground. Keep bashing NH and the people elsewhere but you won't do it with me. Yoyr friends and families propert taxes have nothing to do with Maura but may explain why you take pleasure out of bashing NH.
