and gave it to the PI's we have no proof
the owners even gave their permission.

I very much doubt that anyone outside LE may know where Maura is.

My personal guess would be anywhere in northern Vermont or possibly even across the border in Canada. The possible sighting of Maura in the Barton, VT, church back in June 2005 would certainly back up this theory,'
Remember that Maura apparently looked up directions on her computer for the Burlington/Stowe area of northwestern Vermont just before she vanished.

I have always wondered about the variety of places that Maura checked out on the afternoon she disappeared. It would appear she just wanted to get away for a few days and called familiar (to her) places that she had been to before. That sounds responsible to me. She took her textbooks too to keep up with studies. She took her running clothes too.
Euro, I certainly hope someone checked out the siting in Barton. Checking the handwriting is a good idea.

Do you or anyone else from the old MMM site know whether "Raykel´s" supposed signature in the church´s vistors book was ever checked out at all?

I´ve been reading conflicting accounts regarding whether "Raykel" ever had the time to actually sign the book or not - surely, it should be possible to find out whether this is the case...

I have been unable to find an e-mail address for the Solid Rock Assembly of God Church in Barton, VT, but I guess that we might try checking out whether the local Barton paper, The Barton Chronicle, ever wrote a piece on the possible Maura sighting three years ago.

Whitewash, is it a fact that the A-frame was being rented out (later) by a family member of Shack's? That would've given her opportunity to really get to know that house, land, stream, etc.

Re CM: I agree Oh My was accusing everyone on earth, crossing the line for sure, but what he said led me to look at the police logs of CM's family's previous town and I did find a history of arrests of CM and his brother Scott E. I posted a link to the police logs back near the beginning here.

I wanted to ignore OH MY, but I discovered from years of my mother's dementia that there are occasional surprisingly astute declarations even in the midst of chaotic thinking.

It sounded from an on-line town site that there was going to be quite a family reunion for Beagle Bart's fam. Hope he's there or at least OK.

(Firecat, Moose: And our nurse spent endless hours of her "free" --- like she had any ---- time caring for her mom-in-law with Alzheimer's too. And, when she worked in the hospital recovery room, she always arranged her schedule to be there for family, and anyone's friend, never thinking about herself.)

Euro -- re women's make-up. "They" tell you to use a color just slightly darker than your own skin color, otherwise it looks unnaturally light, and more obvious. You can darken your color easily with make-up base, blusher brushed lightly all over, and now there's Jerkins (sp?) tanning cream for face. You can also look older by putting heavy make-up on flawless young skin. This is just from my experience.

I THOUGHT I read on the MMM site forum that it was done partially because of a psychic type person's (I'm not sure of the politically correct title) vision. I know my dog gets nervous/anxious when I try to get him to go nearer to the house than just walking by--he gets very nervous which is unlike him---he isn't cautious about much now that he's realizing his size and strength (90 lb. pup--pitbull/mastiff)

To the bes tof m knwoledge, the A frame hasn't been rented since 2004 when Claude moved out. It was for sale for some time but then taken off of the market. I believe the realtor was actually Shck's relative, not a renter

The entire Sheriff's Dispatch Log was also released for Feb. 8 and 9, where earlier only the log item pertaining to the accident was given to the press. That item was interesting because it contains the description by witness Faith Westman of a man smoking a cigarette inside the car -- a description that was never confirmed.

Later that night, police responded to two reports of a suspicious person, one at 11:38 p.m. and one at just before 1 a.m. on Feb. 10. The earlier item doesn't get much description in the log, but notes that two officers spoke with someone near Central Street.

In the later item, police went to speak with a white male, about 5' 10', sporting a goatee and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. When the officers neared, he took off, according to the log. He was never located. This call took place near Pine and Beech Street in Haverhill, the town where Maura crashed.

At 5 :44 p.m. on Feb. 10, Fred Murray called the police saying that no one had gotten back to him about the disappearance. Police at that time had put out a "be on the lookout" or BOL order.

Later on that night, at 10:10 p.m., police responded to neighborhood dispute in Littleton, a town 15 minutes north of Haverhill. The narrative notes that one of the neighbors in a registered sex offender who had not updated his address with authorities.

No, Scott E. was not the one in prison who died after talking about CM and the knife. I think he's a couple years younger than Claude and i'll try to track down his arrests (only a few years are posted online at this point, more to come i hope).

Those streets are in Woodsville several miles from where Maura crashed.
Littleton is 30 minutes from Haverhill, I know I used to drive it every morning to work.

4 of the 7 news pieces here (I think #3, 5, 6, and 7) show arrests for Claude's bro Scott. This is over a short period of time also. I haven't checked to see if he is the brother a poster said died in a car accident.

Thanks for your comments regarding the effect of foundation cream of a woman´s skin.

I found your information highly interesting, as it clearly shows that the foundation cream can actually slightly alter the appearance of a person in subtle ways.

The church witness in Barton,VT, also commented on the hairstyle and colour of "Raykel", mentioning her tight curls.

Apparently her hair colour was lighter and "blonder" than on Maura´s pictures, which of course would be an easy transformation.

Imagine "Raykel"/Maura (?) wearing her hair down and not "pinned up" and very few people if any in, say, Vermont or southern Quebec would recognise her, especially as there has been very little media coverage, if any, of Maura´s case recently.
The little I´ve been able to see mainly appearing in the NH and MA media, and hardly anything at all for a long time (as far as I know) in Vermont.
As for southern Quebec?- well I doubt if Maura´s case would be known there at all?

For whatever it´s worth, I have such a strong feeling that Maura may very likely be around, fine and well, at least in a sense.

As for what could possibly force her to stay in hiding, likely with an assumed identity, we can only speculate.
Running/hiding from something/someone or suffering from a severe case of amnesia (such as e.g. dissociative fugue or similar symptoms) would be two obvious explanations.

In my mind, Maura is very clearly a victim of some horrible circumstances and my heart goes out to her more than any words could ever express.
