Beagle,
I was a few minutes too late there to directly respons to your posting regarding Helsingborg. Congratulations - one of my favourite places in Sweden with Copenhagen just "around the corner" as well. Much nicer people in Helsingborg and Copenhagen than in Stockholm (generally speaking) as well! |
You are too kind. |

Cumberland Farms is a gas station with beer, soda, cigs, and junk food with a few staples added in.

Anne..agreed..I tried to figure out from the small picture if I recognized people/dogs....
I still have the little cards with pictures of Tracer, Mika. Pearl and my favorite, Taz... (the black Lab) They were and are indeed, wonderful and caring people. |

Judged: 2 1 1 With all due and most sincere respect to you & everybody else: Shall I interpret your post as a kind of snub to the people here on the forum who for a variety of reasons didnīt have a practical opportunity to attend the search? Or is it that we are simply too opinionated here & being open to all sorts of possibilities? Either way, I think you can rest assured that we care very deeply about Maura and her fate. Thank you. |
whiston it was not sitting at Lavoies two days ago when I drove by. I don't think it's been there for quite some time. |

Judged: 1 Euro, I know what you are saying. And few have consistently challenged the old guard more than I have, but in this case, I think they have every right to congratulate themselves. Many of us come from different directions and backgrounds to this very emotionally difficult case. Some or all of those at the search were obviously invited. The rest obviously not. And that's just what an invitation is. It is, after all, THEIR search, not yours or mine or ours or anyone else's. Many of those invited have established a level of friendship and trust that transcends anything like an ordinary search. The last thing they need is for newbies or critics like us, especially ones who continually challenge their motives or facts, to "invade" their turf. In many ways, their search is not just for Maura's body. It is something - if I may say this - like a sisterhood. It is a bonding of people deeply committed to righting a persistent wrong that will not go away if it does not get confronted. Yes, they have their clique-ish ways, but they also - it should be obvious - have a deep-down pain that will not be diminished by our presence. I know that you mean well, but finding Maura - whatever "finding Maura" means - does mean different things to different people. You and I and people like us, regardless of our opinion of ourselves and the importance we attach to "the truth" and all that, are outsiders to a special sorority of the soul. It should be respected. If it's not, no matter how legal and logical we may conduct ourselves and believe ourselves to be, what happened to Maura will happen again. And again. And again. There is far more of value in life than what is represented by logic and fact alone. You and I are relatively new here. This is our time to stay out and stay quiet. It was THEIR moment. Please let them have what they deserve and have worked so hard for. Thanks for your understanding. Alden |

Judged: 1 Don't think so. Think she was just saying "Thank you." |

The field in which the Saturn has been sitting is not at Lavoie's. It's adjacent to (and owned by) the NHSP impound lot. Just don't ask me where THAT is, LOL. |

Euro, Please accept my apology, if you feel I snubbed you. I only wanted to state appreciation to those searchers who volunteer their time toward the searches. I was not there. You have as much right to your opinions as anyone, no matter any disagreement. I am certain you care about Maura and her fate.

Alright Euro, One more time, I will write! Since Topix moderator has refused to post my apology. Let me see if they will accept this one. I am sorry if you feel I offended you. simple enough?

Somehow I missed the seach completely! didn't even know it was happening...feeling out of the loop since I'm in the area all summer!

I will post here for the 4th time, I am sorry if you think I offended you. I was not there

I am saddened by the 'heavy armed' tactics employed here as this is my 5th attempt to apologize for you feeling snubbed. I was not there for the search, I only wanted to thank those who were! I have no doubt you care.

Soooo......a half-hour ago I posted to Whiston that the field the car was "housed" in is not at Lavoie's, it's adjacent to and owned by the NHSP impound lot.
That message seems to have been deleted. WHY THE HECK WAS THAT OFFENSIVE???? |
|
Also, I commented to Euro that I thought Anne was simply saying "thank you" to those who were out there in the field. They were two different posts. Both are now gone.
Whiskey.....tango.....foxtrot? |
