I just got home after contacting the County Att. Office and telling Rick that things need to start, we need to start arresting some people that are invlved in this case!!!!

I found this link --- Many pages back someone was asking for proof of arrests or convictions of some people mentioned here -- and here's a start... click on link; you'll have to search for Claude's name it's halfway down the page. If you click on "details" it shows the original newspaper, Bradford, VT police log from 1993 and the entry says that CM was arrested for violation of an abuse protection order on June 10 and was cited to appear in Orange County District on July 12.

Just curious,

The "construction worker" or "cw". I have heard this man may have a history as a sexual offender. I have also heard that his sightening of Maura may not be reliable.

Having said that, I wonder;

Did this person travel from job site to job site ?

If this person was ever/is considered a suspect have they kept track of job sites he worked at during/after Maura's disappearance ?

Is it a possibility Maura is there ?

The CW works in Franconia He sold his trailer that he had at the time, not sure if it was searched in time, no probable cause :( and yes, he travels from place to place for his work. When Maura went missing, he says he was asleep on the couch at 1:00am which was bizarre enough to begin with. He did work and would have driven by the crowd of people, the ruckkus, just to get home. He lived right across from the SBD!(too much to go over here, so perhaps read the heading of timeline and photos on Maura's forum)
Anyhow, cw didn't say peep when police and family questioned everone in the vacinity of the 'accident', including -HIM.....Then before you know he has told this person and that person that he saw 'Maura'/or/someone/running/wal king fast 5 miles East of the accident. The word got around and the police went to- HIM! His excuse for not telling police when he was questioned 2 and 14 days later was that he just had the3 dates mixed up. I don't believe him but Scarznia did and redirected the planned search the had made. The news was saying there was new hope, that a witness had come forward to say Maura was seen walking on foot like that the same night. This was supposed to make it seem like she may be ok after all and just voluntarilly missing. I say bunk and so do most everyone who looks closer at the cw and his changed tune. Now he says,'I didn't say it was Maura, I saw a youth, someone wearing a hoodie, not sure if it were male or female.

LAJFA, Altho that Vital Records link worked before, it seems to be having trouble loading now (1:45PM). But I found that if you go on thru the all the pages there are more police log and court log listings for CM.

To clarify, the 'accident' happened at 7 or 7:30pm(there may have been two accidents) I mentioned the cw as saying he was asleep at 1:00am. When I heard his responce to an area shopkeeper who told police what he was saying, I though why did he say ONE-O-CLOCK? He was off work at 7 and it's a half hour drive.........he lives right there too by the weathered barn for crying out loud. And a local has been quoted as saying she stopped and helped to look for "the girl" saying she and several other parents returning home from a school function all tried to find-HER (Maura)
I don't know the cw's involment, but this part is fishy as well.

Yeah, I do agree. The more I read about your neck of the woods the more Leary I get. Meaning, I have always grabbed the bull by the horns. But, in this situation approaching at caution and gathering info on the dl may be what is needed.
