IMO ..if CK can wake up just one little town government and its LE, perhaps other towns will better themselves (win, lose or draw) I am NOT speaking FOR this Topix about Maura, this is only from ME. Maura disappeared 4 1/2 years ago...those gathered here care about that. No venom pointing out a fact. The man posts a comment like he did about one of the most vilest violent acts that can be committed against a woman. At this point 4 1/2 years later nothing should be dismissed so lightly. He is someone who despises the government, knows the law, despises women, talks to them in a continual degrading manner.

Elsewhere, snickered last night at Lady Grey's reference to elephants.. thought of you...like in "never forgets" lol..Alas, it seems that even if she posted the words "the flowers that bloom in the Spring tra la" she'd get blasted by the infantile ratings. Guess y'all will take our turns. Gads, you remembered Earl...have always felt crappy about that situation. He had so much knowledge of the area and people. He drove me around that immediate around and around every road and non roads..so to speak. AND, he would search, hoping to spot Maura's back pack, or anything. Yeh, don't understand the term witch hunt....looking for a sign of Maura..? or her belongings? They weren't out with snarling hounds/torches on people's lawns. I don't put much faith in the recent few bits like in first person...? It was attained by osmosis within a group of kith n kin and the area. And, they are a stubborn lot up there....Yes, I know that, because I have relatives there...born and raised in NH/VT. Dig in the heels, set the jaw and bottom lip and clam up. But, if you are related or they like you a bit, they'll offer a short sentence with a finality.tone. Quick humorous visual..Beth or Weeper..(can't remember) told of black cars with NY plates...men in suits... entering a Woodsville Restaurant...all chatter stopped, and people were intensely interested in their plates of food, in silence.

Hello Whiston/Philip, I would be very interested to learn whether you have formed some kind of theory as for why Maura left Amherst and what may have happened to her. From what I understand you have made a tremendous effort to find out facts about Maura´s heart-wrenching case, so your opinion would be highly valued. Thanks!

Still to this day I laugh about Beth's description of Weeper the day of the 2006 volunteer search. Beth was describing my dad! Weeper and my dad come from the same cut of cloth I guess. Shack, I also noticed Weeper use the phrase Kiddo during those last few months Maura's forum was active, it was what my dad always called me.

Here's A Tip, There was another guy, or it may be the same guy, who recently told a NH judge that he was going rape and murder his wife and children.

How could a volunteer search for a missing young woman be considered a "witch hunt" in any way? Correct me if I'm mistaken - it's hard to keep up - but White Wash = Photogirl, correct? "here's a tip" - here's one for you - take it where it belongs. There are those of us here who have never agreed with a lot of CK's methods and statements. Please go away, and take your well-earned lemon with you. KTHXBYE

Sophie, 1) I dunno...beats me! 2) Yes (and plus) 3) I think CK has enough space for folks to write. (I feel we have enough "growls" here...) What is KTHXBYE? or maybe perhaps it can't be deciphered here....?

I like the sense of humor in here, feed the elephants at the circus and enjoy the lemonade! We definitely are ruffling feathers and that is a good thing because since we haven't attacked anyone, it appears there is a very defensive group. I wonder why? CK has plenty of his own sites and those about him, it does not belong here. Take it there. The more people attack, the clearer it becomes to me that we are on the right track! JMHO!

hi Euro and all.i think Maura left of her own accord.the time she left is odd ,but why not .if she made it to the weathered barn i dont know.nhpd says no crime and the FBI checked out Amherst and came up with zippo .the Murray family has said there was a crime but they have been very tight lipped about Mauras prior life except to say she was a great athlete and about to be engaged.where is the proof of a crime.p.s. i have not done much to find out what i think i know as fact.take care philip

There is no evidence of a crime. She could be alive and well and working as a waitress (or something else) somewhere. I say waitress, not because there are look a likes working as waitresses, but because that is an easy job to get, paricularly in that area and does not require an education or specific job skills. Or as others have said, she may have been a suicide, not outside the realm of possibility, and a body could easily not be found in the area. Or as others have speculated, she may be in a witness protection program, they don't tell their family where they are, do they?

I don't know if I am the only one who feels the need to go back and re-read. But, when you get a chance scroll n read through the VTSP/NHSP Joint Press Conference of June 8, 2004.(Under "News" ) It appeared VT is more forthcoming with info. than NH is, in their quest. We have spoken so many times about more media coverage. NH has limited TV media.. I have wondered if the family has considered instead of periodic and occasional "big spreads" in their newspapers..(as in anniversary of..birthday of) that more frequent smaller blurbs would be noticed more by area readers. Looking4...hope you had a decent and safe trip..hope you are there.

KTHXBYE I am not involved with anything concerning CK but I'm wondering if Topix gave you the authority Sophie to tell people they should go away. This has turned into a carbon copy of the MMM forum. The difference is that this is a PUBLIC forum!!!!!! No one has the right to tell another to go away unless they are a forum moderator and the person is either being inappropriate or not living up to the terms of service.

Look at what you just wrote. How could you possibly wonder why people are being defensive. I'm glad you are so proud of the fact that you and a few others are ruffling feathers. As far as being on the right track.... as I see it every time someone says something that doesn't quite fit into the "MM insiders" scenerio one or more of this group purposely cause a train wreck. What is wrong with you people???

There is no evidence of a crime and it is certainly possible that she is alive and well. There are some that won't hear of this being possible though because then there would no longer be an online mystery thread to take up their time.

KTHXBYE When innocent people are accused "by name and or address" on a forum open to the public to being involved in some way to the disappearance of a young women with absolutely no evidence that a crime was even committed then I would consider that a witch hunt.
