hi all, i think that the saturn was simply stuck in the snow and was intended to be somewhere else.that is why there was no lights on and someone was seen at the trunk of the car.i think they were trying to find a jack or something to get out of the snow.hence the burned or skidded on floormat.was this just a very simple car theft gone very very wrong.take care philip

The BOLO was for a female 5'2" or 5'3" with black hair. Possibly more than one person was involved in the staging of Maura's vehicle, a man and a woman maybe.

elsewherebriefly, Regarding the BOLO for a female of 5'2" ir 5'3". I have alwats wondered on what information those figures was based on. As far as we know they must have been deduced from the witness statements by the SBD (Mr A), but as far as I can recall the SBD never actually saw Maura (or the supposed Maura) actually standing up at the car, but sitting behind the wheel of the Saturn. If so, how was the estimated height of the female arrived at?

Has it been established anywhere that coolant was actually lost? I didn't think it had been. I know reports were conflicting regarding the state of the radiator.

Shack, even I have no idea what you're talking about that time. Are you referring to something that's no longer there? I might need more coffee.

As per Atwood, the female was sitting behind the wheel when he pulled up with the nose of his bus even with the nose of the Saturn. At this point the female exited the car (with difficulty opening the door due to the closeness of the car with the snow banks on the side.) They talked over the roof of the Saturn. By the way, Atwood's comments regarding the photo of Maura..........LE never showed a photo to him of Maura so there was amazement amongst the family when LE said that Atwood ID'd Maura. It was Billy's Mom who went over to Atwood's house and showed him Maura's photo. It was a photo of Maura with her hair up. Maura wore her hair up, a good guess, 99% of the time. Her hair was curly and she would "slick" it back with gel and put it up on the top of her head. Billy's Mom had said that there was a photo in her belongings of Maura with her hair down and Maura had written on the back "Is that me with my hair down?" When her hair was down, as Weeper said, it was cut in a "bob" style. First BOLO said 5'2/5'3 with long dark hair. It was corrected later reflecting Maura's accurate height/weight which was obviously taken from her driver's license which has not been found. My personal belief is that LE looked up Maura's identifying info in their computer system and this is how it was obtained at which point they changed height/weight. Guess they got her name to look it up from belongings in the car. And belongings were obtained by them after they obtained a search warrant. By the way, the BOLO was issued to the Fire Dept and not LE..........this to me is incredulous.

After being gone a few days I've spent the morning reading all that I've missed. I have to ask again something that I think Firecat thought was rude when I said it before but it truly wasn't meant to be rude just as this time it is not rudely stated. What the heck is wrong with you people? Is this just a game on a new forum or do you all really want to find answers??? Here's someone "Benjamin Franklin" that has taken the time to reply with some new and interesting ideas which even Weeper thought interesting and then someone from the "MMM forum" comes along and insults and demeans them with a very rude and mean reply. And you wonder why people feel like outsiders? You've lost some good people on both sites because of similar replies. It just verifies what I have said and thought all along. That if it doesn't fit the scenerio of what the "insiders" think happenened then it isn't worth posting.

As far as being on the right track.... as I see it every time someone says something that doesn't quite fit into the "MM insiders" scenerio one or more of this group purposely cause a train wreck. What is wrong with you people??? I in no way meant to be rude with this comment, only helpful. A perfect example of what I said about the train wreck and people is right here...reply #3911. Maybe some will see that I wasn't far off course.

Hello Lady Gray & all, Thank you for your response. So, even with Maura´s hair being "down" for some reason, it was still cut in a "bob" style and could not possibly having been described as "long hair" as per the SBD´s witness statement. Secondly, even if Maura (or whoever it was) managed to open the car door at the incident site and remain standing while talking to Mr A, this woman was described as being considerably shorter than the "real" Maura. So: According to Mr A´s witness statement the woman driving the Saturn had long hair (while Maura´s hair style couldn´t be described as such even with her hair down) and was also a good deal shorter than Maura. Unless, the SBD was very much mistaken in his observations of the lady, then I earnestly feel like questioning the true identity of the lady at the Saturn.

hi Firecat and all. i may stand corrected.i am remembering mrAtwood saying the radiator was damaged or pushed in and assuming coolant was lost.i may be wrong..Weeper thanks for the posting.Euro i have the feeling that mrAtwwod was standing on the black top pavement and the saturn driver was in a slight depression or ditch off the road ,i could be wrong the driver could have appeared taller because of the snow bank.the tire marks west of the saturn scene, shown on the accident report bothers me what could that mean.take care philip

Congratulations everyone. After another couple of months spitballing this topic it is now at the point that the MMM site was just before it closed down after 4 years. Mostly the same posters with the same stale ideas with others realizing that this is going nowhere and leaving. Can anyone make a list of the things that have been discovered during the topix investigation? Changes in direction or new material uncovered? Maybe I’m one of those people afraid of this “investigation” that is why I am minimizing its effect. Most effort seems to be in trying to remember what was really said and still after 4 years separating fact from fiction. Some have managed to drag some others through the dirt though. I read for only two reasons. The first is the same reason I watch road runner cartoons. You know that the coyote is never going to catch him but its fun watching. It is just entertainment. Just like here. You know that no one is ever going to figure anything out but it is fun to watch people run around continually slamming into walls. The main reason I read is to hopefully hear sometime soon that she has been found. What I want for the family is for her to be discovered and then for the police to figure out what happened and if it is criminal to have it properly prosecuted. I don’t think anything here is going to help that. If nothing else maybe Shack will finally shut up about SBD and other locals now that Weeper puts Mauras disappearance before she got to the corner where the car was found and he has said that locals have helped. I don’t believe it wasn’t her in the car but maybe she will. Of course judging from her last outburst who knows what goes on in that head. Fuzzy, most times to say the least but its okay because she is going to scroll on by. yardi, yardi, piffle or something. Bill

hi all.a while back on topix someone made some negative comments about Petrit Vasis' writing abilities. then i learned his family is from Armenia and he was in a coma ,i think for a month, and he had brain damage as a result of his accident in amherst.despite all that, he was and is willing to help find Maura Murray.WTF,since topix started i have 'discovered' that things are really worth more than a second look and people here are mostly good and do not need to make sense of there outbursts.they may have there own reasons and are here to help.that is good enough for me.take care Philip.yes i captalised my name.

First - I was mistaken on this - modified for clarity:
"But her directions however are a map to [the car staging] location."
I believe that I have read elsewhere that the directions in her car were to Bennington, Vermont - not where the car was found.
So either she drove or someone that knew she frequented there drove after the crime.
I don't know if this has been done - I have not read about it anywhere.
I think it would be a good idea to check gas station cameras mostly in Concord and the exit for route 112.
I've also never read how much gas was in the tank. How full the tank was, tells us how much gas was used at the last fill. This provides a mile range for the fill up, working backwards based on miles per gallon.
But also consider the amount of time her car (in the condition it was in) would take to travel from the ATM to where and when the car was found. Is the time indicative of straight line travel or is it possible that it was diverted from.
Check gas station cameras at the end of that range, plus in range of other possible diverted paths.
