Quija and gvmeabrk,
Regarding possible sightings of Maura: It seems to me at least that there have been - for various reasons - considerable time lags between several purported sightings of Maura and the following-ups/investigations into those sightings. Surely, any trace must be getting stone cold in the meantime. |

Judged: 1 1 1 It was only her second semester of clinicals....at least two more semesters of clinicals to go, if not more if she was going to specialize...nonetheless, I don't know if a BCI shows drunk driving charges. A driving record does, but most potential employers don't check a driving record unless you have to drive for the job (like a visiting nurse) but typically you need 2 years of both nursing and driving experience for a visiting nurse job (2 yrs nursing for the experience, 2 yrs driving because of the auto insurance co's unwillingness to cover any employee with less than 2 years experience) It was mentioned by someone in the last wek or so that Maura had only been driving for about 6 months. |

I need to take another look at the video that someone (Silky??) did from a car, of the route Maura is believed to have driven along 112. Checked the www.mauramurraymissing.com website page and the link to this video appears to be broken. Does anyone know of another link, or does anyone have a copy of this video?

Hello Advocator, I suggest that you do a search for "Route 112" on YouTube. I just checked it out the other week and there were a number of Silky´s (I think) videos available on that site, including US 302 westwards from Woodsville into Vermont, French Pond Road south from NH 112 to NH 116, NH 116 from French Pond Road intersection to NH 10 in Haverhill, and NH 10 from Haverhill to Woodsville IIRC. Hope this works! |

Thanks Lady Gray and Euro! I want to add these links to the Chart. Does anyone have any idea how long we might be able to count on the videos remaining online? I don't know YouTube's policy on such ...

Hello all,
I found this interesting weather information for Benton, NH,(near Swiftwater) for 9th February 2004 (information retrieved from "Google Answers" on the web). IIRC temps rose later in the day and apparently hovered around the 30 mark throughout the night between 9th and 10th February. __________ I can't find records for Haverhill, but at the nearby town of Benton, NH, the weather on February 9, 2004 was as follows: 13 -- Hi temperature -2 -- Low temp overcast no precipitation 7 inches of snow/ice on the ground It was a nearly full moon as well. No info on windspeed, windchill, and the like, however. |
Often wondered if there was a full moon, thanks Euro.
Thanks again Advocator, Your page provides a tremendous amount of information and also little details that have proven to be very important. One of the things I learned through Dr. Godwin over the past four years is that the timeline is crucial. |

elsewherebriefly,
There is one thing slightly confusing with this Benton weather information; It says "overcast" and "nearly a full moon", presumably meaning that the moon was "in hiding" behind the clouds and that there would have been "nearly a full moon" if the skies had been clear. That is my interpretation, at least... Now, if the sky was indeed overcast and the moon "in hiding", then it must have surely have been difficult to spot a person dressed in dark clothes running/walking on the road, as for the purported sighting of such a person, apparently acting furtively, according to the disputed allegation of the CW near the intersection of Routes 112 and 116. |

Advocater-----Just a note on the chart/document on google---Maura was in her second semester of nursing school, not second year.

I'm confised on the # 1 vehicle and goose lane trip. Can someone explain it S L O W L Y for me (LOL)
# 1 is going up goose lane toward 112, turns onto French POnd Rd (which is the only way to get to 112 from goose lane) which is towards Swiftwater and then turns east onto 112 toward the Stage Stop and eventually the Weathered Barn. I don't see the discrepency in it. Goose Lane ends at French Pond Rd, you can either go right or left there--if you go right you need to go all the way down French Pond onto Valley then onto Swiftwater Circle to get to the Weathered Barn. If you go left, you just take a right onto 112 and its a faster way to get there. I don't see where the officer changed directions. |

Advocator, great chart! Excellent idea.
Questions for Advocator: -- Peabody, hydemi, and docwho3 all said (a long time ago on websleuths, etc.) that the upsetting call on 2/5-2/6 was at 1AM. I don't know if was was 1AM or 1:30AM as you stated? -- When I checked earlier I saw it was 3 days post-full moon on 2/9/04. Full moon was 2/6/04. Please correct me if wrong. -- I saw nowhere (as you said) in ANY PART of the Grafton Police Log for 2/9 and 2/10 that Fred described Maura as "suicidal". Tuesday 2/10 5:44 pm Fred was making calls to reach Cecil and the dispatcher quoted Fred as saying (among other things, like asking does officer have a cell phone I can call, etc.): "Stated it is urgent that officer calls him, he has some very important information to give him." Again, if anyone wants a hard-copy of the full Grafton County Sheriffs Log for 2/9-2/10, you can email me at my fake email quijie@comcast.net. We can figure out a way to send you a copy that retains your privacy (PO box? mail to your enemy's house? whatever). Repeating this because of posters' interest in Log, the log itself being interesting, and my going off-line in a week or two for house repairs. |
