Was thinking about the many other cases on Maura's forum re: Missing & Remembered. That other reading was somewhat of an affirmation that maybe Brian's readings my be of value. I came across Brian's site a number of years ago. I'm glad those pages are being revisited and discussed. Welcome Jeffexor! Hey, where's Advocator? Hope she is all right.

Hey Shack, Anne, Mcsmom, Looking4amoose, or anyone else who resides or frequents the Woodsville Area,
Dumb question.
Wasn't there mention of activity around Lily Pond over the past several months? Fire engines and equipment?

Elsewhere...a small quarry was pumped out.. the quarry is on Lily Pond Road (nearer the Pike end and Conrad incident site) Lily Pond (swamp) is further up the road towards 25C.. Can't remember when but it wasn't just months ago. (Unless there was another event that I missed. Quarry is just a few feet from the LP road. I recall the ado with Fire truck(s) Perhaps someone else will fill in the blanks.

Gonna guess the quarry pumping was 2006. I don't know about fire apparatus this Summer. I have seen SP (twice)...stopped on Lily Pond..once talking to a guy....

[QUOTE who="elsewherebrieflyHey, where's Advocator? Hope she is all right.[/QUOTE]
Checking in! All's well, just have a few things I'm having to take care of.
I've been going over the Grafton County Sheriff's Log that Quija was kind enough to send me, going to see about scanning all of it and making it available via the Chart page as a PDF file or something.
But this Log gets me thinking. Is there any way to get access to the New Hampshire State Police log/s for the time period around and including the date of Feb 9, 2004 ... or is their Log part of the records that are being withheld from the public and Fred?

By the measure of my stick, Life for Maura continues to tick. Pomegranates did she eat? Or was her trip a long retreat? Helois' string Atropos did snip Here we ponder as Mercury slips

Obviously I'm typing under the stupid tarp.
Hmmmmmm..... pomegranates.... only had a year or two of Ancient Greek.... but wikipedia sure helps now... so.... pom's can be related to "fruit bearing", "exotic", a condiment in alcoholic drinks, an alternative to the narcotic poppy, and references to cults. That covers a fair percentage of the posters' scenarios. Now to look up Lachesis Moirae and put it together....

And then Mercury's fluctuations reminiscent of Maura's moods before she left. So.... who the heck wrote this poem under a false TOPIX name??? Oh, yeah, there was also an association between pomegranates and cults...

Did the CW stop for drinks (and maybe some dinner, being single?) on the way home from work in Franconia, and so, after avoiding LE and parking his vehicle at home, he avoided walking over to the light- and LE-filled snowbank scene in case he still smelled of alcohol? He'd've feared being questioned, maybe casually walked home and having LE feel the still-hot hood of his vehicle... Just a thought. He really might've seen something or had an accident involving Maura, but perhaps being intoxicated (SPECULATION) kept quiet for a while,'til the dates blurred for anyone who saw him that evening.

Good lordy. WHO ELSE DO WE KNOW WHO POSTS FROM HAYWARD CA, PEOPLE???? That GD crazy caveman guy, remember???? Ok, for those of you not up on your Greek mythology, this poem is meant to indicate that the poster believes Maura is still alive. Or is fucking with us.(scuse me) Persephone ate pomegranate seeds, which is why she had to stay in the underworld half the time. Mercury is TIME. Atropos and Lachesis are the names of two of the three Fates, or Moirae.(FYI, moron, Clotho holds the spindle, not Lachesis. Unless you meant her measuring stick.) If you'd like to offer us helpful information IN PLAIN ENGLISH, that would be swell. If you're going to play games and write riddles, how singularly unhelpful. Just say it, for god's sake. Stop assuming personae and messing around. This is, in fact, someone's ACTUAL life, here.

Lachesis was a Fate, or Moira (plural Moirae). Poms...Persephone. You knew that. So, is stupid tarp a phrase where stupid is modifying tarp, or is it more like "stupid tarp" the way I often wear my "idiot hat" when I do dumb stuff. Because I rather like the idea of having a "stupid-tarp" to hide under when I'm feeling clueless. xoxo FC

And coincidentally, I'm REALLY GLAD to see that this was posted five hours ago, because I was just online doing refresher research on these very ladies (the fates) for a lecture tomorrow, and I would be REALLY ALARMED to think that it was possible someone was monitoring my computer usage.
Someone other than Mike Chertoff, I mean.:-/

Well I’ll tell you what would really alarm me would be that you would actually know that off the top of your head. I am glad to hear you were just reading up on it. I’d hate to think your head is filled with that information while walking around. ;-) Bill

FireCat, well, this page was weird, eh?
Altho we could see the poster was suggesting Maura was still alive, it was hard to resist getting caught up in the Greek fates, etc.
So, yes, FireCat, I'm under the damn dusty stupid computer tarp, wearing my needle-pointed moron dunce hat/tarp; and, yeah, the poster was messing with us... But you've gotta admit that drifting for a while toward the idea that it just wasn't Maura's time to leave this earth, that it didn't come to pass, is a nice place to be for a while?
All along here on TOPIX, several sets of differently-named posters have sounded like the same person. Altho a lot is BS, maybe something said, or our free associating on it, will trigger an idea that helps find Maura???? Who knows?

If you've got a needle-point cap, please feel free to come visit. Very low expectations here as well as a consistent pattern of not achieving them. Haha. So, what's nerdsville like? Seriously, with some of the new ideas and geo and hydro locations discussed in the last few days, I have a hopeful sense of edging towards a resolution.... by the Grace of God.

Hey Firecat,
Nicely put. I was all worried about using the word shitty the other day.....lol.
Advocator,
Although it has been a long time since I've read the court documents I believe Fred specifically requested the NHSP reports and was denied.
Shack,
I'm honored that you've included me along with Mcsmom & Beth. I still laugh about Mcsmom showing up to meet Beth for the first time in high heels and a matching purse.
Do you remember when we were discussing dogs on tables? My dog Mayo and the stray Irish Setter, which might have been mine!!!, you let into your house. It was right about the same time Beth asked you not to attempt to search around Lily Pond yourself.
I'm pretty sure someone mentioned, I think Anne, that there were fire engines and equipment at Lily Pond after that discussion. Maybe early this past Spring?
It might have been a drill, an emergency call, or something completely different. Still, it got my hopes up that Lily Pond may have been searched.
Quija,
Back away from the needlepoint and for the love of God don't be wearing it on your head!
