Hello all,

Please, let me concur with the voices here for an end to the internal strifes here.
They don´t help Maura and her family and only serve to muddy the waters.

A constructive suggestion:
I only know of two or three purported sightings of Maura over the last 4 1/2 years.
Are there any more publicly known sightings of her, apart from Barton,VT and the convenience store somewhere in southern NH?

They understand about how missing persons don't receive enough attention and that LE needs all the help that they can get.

Once again, my comments are mere observations...a barometer for what is perceived from the outside looking in, and not a personal condemnation.
There is no reason for you to leave when you want to stay, and when you are a contributor.
I just hope some of my points can help temper the daily storm.
I am pleased to retreat to observing, once again...and don't believe any of your work has been intentionally compromised.
We all hope Maura is found to be well...and/or found.

Elsewhere, don't go anywhere please. I hope I've never come across as anything but glad you're here and glad for all you will continue to do. Don't let people quoting you, well, don't take it wrong is all. I quoted shack earlier and was not even talking to her....just wondering too how anyone could consider the remains found postings off topic.
It does make me wonder when I see the way some work though and if you ever have been made to look bad, I didn't think so. I looked at why a person might be doing that, if they were being fair in their minds or not.
A husband and wife team? I can believe that. Even if unmarried there are scores of crimes where a woman is set in place to help put the guard down.
No, I for one do not want you to go as I think you are very helpful and kindhearted.

Also if you have been fortunate enough to work with, talk with LE over the years about things pertaining to crime in NH, you are in the know. It's obvious to me that people want to find Maura, they just don't want to hear all the rest. But it's worth looking at when there are something like 11 unsolved murders, I can't remember, help! Just read how many were missing vs found alive or not. How many were murdered solved or not and it was alarming. I would be on my toes all the time when in and around those areas. Nothing wrong with living your life without fear, but take precautions and find out for yourself.
My son had cancer and we were told he had little chance of living past age 4. He's not afraid of anything he says, and has driven while intoxicated. Thankfully he is on the mend, starting to wise up, make friends and see the world with the eyes of a 25 year old. Unfortunately, being in the hands of illness for 9 years and the butt of many jokes for his extreme differences, he had learned not to care.

Hi Euro, the only additional sighting I saw was followed up on and dismissed. A lady claimed to have seen Maura walking on her street and at first police said they dismissed it without checking into it. But later the same woman comes to thank people and make corrections, police did look into it.

Does anyone know who this turned out to be?

I believe it was eventually determined to be Brian Smith.

"They do not suspect foul play. Authorities said they believe the remains are those of Brian Smith, 47. He was believed to have gone hiking in the area about a year ago."

Thanks for the kind words. I can easily see why Silky/Beth and so many on Maura's forum have thought so fondly of you over the years.

I have not had any contact with anyone from LE in NH.

I am thankful that I have friends here in NC whom have had long and diversified LE careers and are always willing to listen about the NH cases as well as allow me to ask hypotheticals.

I will sincerely hope that Weeper continues to post on this forum. I was truly elated when he replied to my post and started posting on a regular basis. So much so that I told my friends down here all about him!

He really is the best that we've got along with all of the volunteer private investigators whom have contributed to Maura's case.

Weeper is a man of integrity and gosh knows men like him are few and far between.

That goes for Detective Columbo & Frank Kelly also (wink).

I agree that we are definitely fortunate to have the expertise of Det. Columbo and Weeper. They provide useful direction to all of us whom will never stop searching for the answer, WHAT HAPPENED TO MAURA??

hi all.elsewhere please stay .this week i was in Keene NY and Lake Placid .tuesday local family man Jeremy Quinn vanishes .his truck is found 7.00pm tuesday.local tells me gun gone from glovebox and newspaper in truck is strewn around.he had maybe stopped to check on a property he takes care of .his vehicle was found near but not at the house on a dead end road. no sign of a struggle but so far no sign of him.just too damn weird .take care philip

I don't know who you are either. I am also a local. If you are a local that lives in the vicinity of where Maura disappeared or even a NH citizen then you should be very ashamed.
The only ones that have been verbally abused are your own neighbors by a few here on this forum and the MMM forum and you did nothing to stand up for them/us. You can't in all honesty say you don't know the horrible names and things that have been said about us. If you really know the people then you know that they did what was right that night and called the police even though Maura did not want them called. They involved themselves by trying to help her and have been ridiculed ever since.
I suppose you see nothing wrong in calling our neighborhood the twilight zone, or calling our friends and neighbors scumbags, illiterate, rats in a nest that all sleep together and the need for all to be lysoled. And these were some of the nicer things said through the years. Telling me that I've insulted you and the public servants is a joke.
The people of NH, public servants included have been verbally abused, bashed, chewed up and spit out for over 4 years but most certainly NOT by me.
Tell me Anne how many locals that know the area well and live in the 116/112 area actually participate in this forum? There were some on the old MMM forum but when the insults and name calling started they left one by one.
I am in no way trying to stop participation in this forum but why must the participation include accusations, disdain for the locals, name calling and insults. As I have stated before I hope and pray that Maura is found but this just doesn't seem to be the way to do it.

Without looking through all the past posts I think I remember you saying a while back that you were leaving the forum. Please don't go because of anything I said though. The forum would be lacking a very big contributer without you.

Yup, you are right. The first time JMO went on the attack I stated I was leaving. Third time is a charm.

I started up a blog and thus far I've written about Tammy Belanger, Brianna Maitland, Maura, Christina Lunceford, Curtis Pishon, etc.

My mother was surprised to learn that there was a suspect in Tammy's dissappearance and that he admitted to what he did to fellow inmates. Tammy went missing about 8 miles from my home when I was in high school.

I believe Hiedi Dawn Wilbur, Audrey Groat, and Maura went missing not too far from your home.

I am somewhat amazed at how you've made yourself right at home on this forum. Lady Gray is a relative of Maura's.

I never once heard any of those disparaging remarks about the locals you mentioned in your post above to Anne. I was a member of MMM.com for quites some time and I never once read any of those things mentioned on her forum. I wouldn't associate with anyone would would say such things.

Could you please provide a link to at least one of those comments for confirmation?

You and JMO are doing a great job at making it appear that I'm the source of all of the negativity.

I'd also like to add that not too long ago Weeper mentioned that he is thankful to many of the locals whom have been nothing but supportive and helpful to Maura and her family.

The husband and wife comment was made in passing a number of years ago. Sorry, can't confirm.

You may want to take Whitewash/Photogirl's advice into consideration. If by chance you are stranded on the side of the road in your vehicle keep your doors locked until a uniformed officer in an officially marked vehicle arrives. Be more wary of your surroundings when out on the roadways while travelling alone.
