Just because there are a great deal of fraudulent "psychics" to be found, that certainly does not mean that there can be no genuine ones. Believe me, I know from my own experience that there are! Very much so... And, yes I´m a very non-gullible, feet-firmly- planted-on-the-earth kind of guy. So, please don´t ridicule everybody who happens to be convinced that life in the broadest sense of the word is a good deal more than the material world which we may think is the only "reality". It´s just a matter of respecting other peoples´ views. I wouldn´t dream of making fun of you if you profess your belief in a completely non-spiritual world. This respect should be reciprocal and mutual, in my view. Actually, Sir/Madam, the respect exhibited here is selectively reciprocal and absent mutuality when extended by your online group. More and more is being realized and explained via my observations (and previous contact with a few...). I am not "making fun" of your spiritual world....however, I maintain, unequivocally, that I do not buy into your purported "giftedness" that you profess. Strange. Nearly cultish.

Eurobserver wrote: Hello citigirl, Although it certainly can not be dismissed, I find it rather unlikely that something bad happened to Maura while in Amherst. For one thing, why should any theoretical culprit(s) bother to somehow bring her car all the way to Haverhill, NH? Why not somewhere much closer to Amherst than NH, such as e.g. The Berkshires of MA? It just doesn´t make sense to me... IMHO. Hello Citigirl. First - Without Peril tells the culprit where to go... the reason to go go far away from Amhurst *could be* that they were fugitives anyway - or that they harmed Maura. If they went where Maura's book was about people might think that Maura went to New Hampshire - not them. In the mean time they would be 200 miles from the first crimes - and could use the money they stole to take a bus even further away. P.S. I'm really indirectly talking to you while talking directly to Euro. Don't tell anyone.

Oh Citigirl - you asked where would I look.
First thing I'd do is try to debunk the theory. Every theory here. If I couldn't debunk one I'd go further into investigating the theories that stand.
To debunk this one - I'd check for blood evidence in the car and in her dorm room. Have the family look at the pitcures at ATM / Liquor store.
If I couldn't debunk it - I'd have something to investigate.

JMO, You got it all wrong, I´m afraid. I never, ever suggested that I have any kinds of such gifts whatsoever myself. Where did I say that? What I meant to say, was that I´ve seen it clearly displayed in other people. Let´s agree not to agree here - some of us believe, some of us don´t. Let´s respect each others´ views - shouldn´t be too difficult, I should hope...

OK - on the possibility if the license plate being Vermont. I think Sophie Bean brought this up.
Its interesting and raises other possibilities:
1. Her being lured there to meet this person. Maybe he was from Bennington. I have to put more thought into this to see how this could tie into the mysteries at Amhurst.
2. A bad guy who abducts people came from Vermont - if he's random - clues at Amherst go unexplained.
Vive Bloc Québécois!

Euro - When all is said and done - I think you are a good person. So I don't want to leave here with any impression otherwise. We don't always agree - but I'm happy you are around. Same goes with everyone else. I won't feel bad if you don't say the same about me.

Just thinking a million things might have happened. Maybe a robbery or car jacking. Maybe someone put a rag in the tail pipe to make the car stall and then showed up for the rescue. Maybe with a tow truck, pickup, whatever. Maybe she gave the car to a homeless person and jumped in the river near Woodsville. Maybe she jumped in the river and the car was stolen later by someone homeless and too drunk to drive and they forgot all about it. Maybe she had a problem at school. Doesn't sound like she slept in her room. Maybe she stayed over nearby. Maybe a friend or someone she knew turned on her. Maybe she was just a message to someone else. They can have nice houses, fast cars, good income.

Welcome Emily! It is always good to have new posters, sometimes just a new look will help. Maybe, maybe and maybe is exactly pointedly correct, although that is all we have to work with. We, at times painfully try hard to remain as accurate as possible. It can be a tough group but with the exception of a few all avenues are open for discussion. Personally I have never lost sight of my goal and that would be what happened to Maura so long ago.

Still, I´m rather curious about your four links there. Do they signify anything in particular, such as the Shelby Cobra sports car e.g.? Please, let us know. Thanks!
