Wow, I have been gone for a while and see I have missed nothing! I was hoping for some new info when I came back today. What I found instead was pages of Battle Royale! I also found a long discussion of the parking of a school bus. I know I havent been here long, but I was wondering exactly what Emily is trying to say. Everyone basically steps over her posts like they are not even there. Does she talk in code, or am I an idiot, too? I also noticed a poster from Exeter, that enjoys the Battle Royale, with constant contribution. What is missing here is productivity. I was shocked to see this, because when I joined a few weeks ago, it was not like this. Change of seasons maybe? Full moon? Anyway, before I disappeared, I asked which person here saw Maura. In catching up today, I got the whole story. HOWEVER..........who is the guy that is "ok, cause the clerk knew him" and who is the girl that needed help???? If it sounds as though I am repeating myself, I am. We can beat the bus parking issue to death, but I wish someone here who seems to be close to the family or the investigation (I still dont know who is who) would answer my question. The bus is a bus, and albeit pertinant to the investigation, the woman who needed help that day is a woman who needed help!!!!!!!!!! DID SHE GET HELP??? Was she found? If the clerk "knew the man" and that makes him a good guy, why did she need help? Yes, I have already said it, but that doesnt change the fact that no one has told me that the Maura/not Maura woman is okay!!!

HALFMOON The clerk did not KNOW the guy on a personal level from what she told me he was a transient painter but did not know him. The girl did not get help from me because when I left I thought I was mistaken that she mouthed the words help me and she show no signs of distress. Sorry if that is not good enough for you or anyone else for that matter. If the PI investigated, I do not know their results except it was not Maura.

Somehow here on Topix forum, people expect this mystery would follow a certain path, I for one sure wish it would. As individuals we each contribute anything we think could be helpful but we do not know the story line to maintain any one scenario. I do believe we make progress even when we digress far from the subject at hand. In the rolling story here we have concluded on several, but few facts we have. We have connected and contributed to the least bits of information. When we discuss over and over how the bus was backed that night, we get a firm picture of the events. If we are lengthy, so be it. All in all after 4 years we continue to find the answers to what happened and that is all we have.

Gvmeabrk, At no time would I , or do I expect that you would have or could have helped her. I apologize if it appeared that way. I meant no resentment to you. None of this needs to be "good enough for (me)". I was just trying to help by wondering if the 'powers that be' had checked this sighting out thoroughly and hopefully helped the woman that mouthed the words "help me". I am in NO position to judge your actions. I dont know what I would have done if I were placed in the same situation. I didnt come here to criticize, just trying to offer some fresh eyes, as in my past post where I asked if the "painter was an artist" ie: with a gallery conection. Now I guess I will step back and watch again.

The question of how "White Wash" has (or at least CLAIMS to have direct personal knowledge of material which belongs in a LEGAL PUBLIC document but which has never been released to the public is extremely important - if it is a fact. Anyone at all could say "well, I've seen those photos, and they are consistent with the report" - and it could be a complete fabrication. Note that I did not say this is the case, but it certainly could be.

Halfmoon gvmebrk's sighting was in June of 06. gvmebrk contacted the MMM site in I believe around November of 06 after seeing Maura's photo on tv. and this is when we first heard about this sighting. gvmebrk if I remember correctly you did say you contacted state police. Am I correct on this?

Hello all,
It´s time for me to retire for the night. Just a question for everyone here:
Anybody knows anything at all about the camping ground and Christmas tree farm along rte 112 in Swiftwater/Woodsville, as mentioned in my previous post.
Would they have been open/in operation at the pertinent time in question?
Could there conceivably have been any reason for Maura to have any kind of connection(s) with either of these operations? It would seem unlikely, but let´s not leave any stone unturned here, however farfetched it might all seem.
Just thinking out loud...

Does she talk in code, or am I an idiot, too? We're all wondering exactly that same thing--not if you're an idiot, of course, but what exactly Emily is trying to say, if indeed Emily is trying to say anything coherent at all. Background on this: as you read past forum pages, keep an eye out for a fellow named "Beagle Bart." Or variations thereof (he was Teagle Tart for little bit, etc etc). Beagle Bart is a poster named Alden.(Sorry, Alden, I've forgotten your last name at the moment) who would go for long stretches being thoughtful, proactive, and a real outside-the-box thinker. And then would--seemingly without warning--go off on the exact same sort of extended nonsensical non-sequitur rants as Emily did. FWIW, Alden also made it known publicly that he lives in Amherst (did some digging and asked some questions and apparently is banned from UMass campus for two years--jury's still out as to why. All this is from Alden, as well, so we don't know the entire story.) The reason I bring this up, in case you're not a literary dork, is that EMILY Dickinson was, of course, from Amherst. Thus, more than a few of us are convinced that Emily is also Alden. The reason we step over those posts as if they are not there is because....frankly, we don't know what to do with the information. We don't know if it's useful, we don't know if it's accurate, we often don't even know what it IS that we're looking it. Is it the ramblings of a madman? Disconnected genius? A frantic attempt at attention? Someone off his meds or on the bottle? I have no idea, but personally I can't even cope with the sheer randomness of unsubstantiated conspiracy theory fear mongering. Read some of those earlier posts and you might see what I'm talking about. And hi again, and welcome back. Stick around this time. The more intelligent focused people we have around here the better.

"The reason I bring this up, in case you're not a literary dork" Firecat - you are an excellent 363.25-er. I worked at a philosophy library once - and my favorite book was on amphibolies AKA - saying "Hi Jack" in an airplane, etc.- but I can't find the call number - so that ruined my supposed to be short funny post.:( 'Night :)

What are you credentials for asking such information? I did't see where Citigirl,Shack, yourself posted credentials for stating their hear say. I am local photographer I was asked to do a story on the last search you know the ones the community found out in the media instead the phones call that Helena believed they where receiving from the PI's. Ooops minor detail for you I'm sure. So I have a press pass that qualifies me to cover news. The other credentials I have are of no concern of yours but get me where I want to be. As I started interviewing the neighbors, LE,family and found it to be interesting and kept on it. Do I claim to be an expert offering EXACT FACTS no. I am offering the same as WEEPER,CITIGIRL,YOURSELF information I have obtain through my interviews and photographs and paperwork collected through the years. Experience with Fred for some haven't been positive and we're entitled to that just as you are for you positive ones with him. The locals are tired of being beaten to death by nasty remarks! Do you live here locally? You have your opinions and views and state them. Why is you believe others can't nor should they? I'm sure my credentials don't mean your nasty needs and I don't give a "rodents rump" because the credentials I do have allow me to serve the needs of my community. Captain Jack wrote: <quoted text> White Wash ... What are the credentials you hold to have had access to the so called paper work you say you have seen? Are you sure you've seen photo's from the night the car was found or have you been duped into thinking the Bernie Marvin photo's were taken that night? Obviously, Sgt. Smith never filled out the accident report until, I believe, February 15th of 2004. What credentials do you hold that would allow you access to original photos in an ongoing investigation? Are you LE?

When I started going up north I personally assumed as well as some of the other searchers is that that is where Mauras vehicle was. It was later on that Mrs W told one of the searchers that the tree with the posters on it was not the location of Maura's vehicle and that it was down further.

In a 2006 decision, the Supreme Court clarified the law enforcement investigative records exception (A), interference with law enforcement proceedings. Murray v. New Hampshire Division of State Police, No 2006-113, Slip Op.(N.H. Dec. 20, 2006). To justify the withholding of records, an agency should categorize for the court the investigatory records and each category must be defined precisely. The description should not reveal the contents of withheld documents, but should provide enough information to allow a court to determine if the documents must be disclosed. Affidavits, testimony, or other evidence should be provided to the court that explains how the disclosure of the information within the categories could interfere with any investigation or enforcement. The law enforcement agency may also be required to explain why there is no reasonably segregable portion of the withheld materials within the category that is suitable for release. Murray v. New Hampshire Division of State Police, No 2006-113, Slip Op.(N.H. Dec. 20, 2006). http://doj.nh.gov/publications/html_right_to_...
