Yes, other posters have had inferences made to activities, etc. in their personal life that are completely separate from discussions on this board.

Of course, no one else reading would know it except for the poster for whom the personal info relates to. And they come across as cryptic messages to others reading, so it isn't readily apparent except to the poster to whom the info pertains to.

It creates a haven of fear not knowing how someone is obtaining this info on them.

This isn't fun and games, folks. This is an invasion of privacy. How in heaven's name would this info be known unless the computers are hacked. And this falls under internet crime.

And there are avenues of recourse for this.

In the world of the internet, people aren't always who they appear to be. They may come across as helpful and/or helpless as if they don't have the ability or will to do something wrong. They may seem inept, feeble, or come across as delusional and paranoid. They may even play the victim themselves.

My sister and brother in law's first house was just off 125 in Raymond on a cul de sac. They relocated down about three years ago......lol....the grass is always greener.

The reason why I've taken Maura's disappearance to heart the way that I have is because I've always been of the mindset of 'it could have been me' and still to this day I believe this.

I travelled those highway corridors heavily before moving back down here on a permanent basis in 2002. From what I've read, the experts have confirmed my initial thoughts.

Learning about all of the others whom have gone missing and have been murdered in VT/NH was not something I was prepared for. I believe Helena also stated this when she was starting up the Missing & Remembered Section of Maura's forum.

People can think and believe what they want but there is no doubt in my mind that certain cases are related. Given that I can prattle countless cases off the top of my head forgetting is not an option.

I have gotten to know a number of genuine and kindhearted people through everyone's efforts to help find Maura and bring the person(s) responsible to justice. Shack, Firecat, Mcsmom, 1Anne, Sophie Bean, just to name a few. I've relied heavily on Silky's input as well as Weeper's over the years.

I've never had any hair raising experiences or maybe I'm just too air headed to take notice.

However, I do have a knack of saying things that can only be explained through coincidence. It's not the first time I've heard Lady Gray jokingly ask if I am psychic over the past four years.

By the way, thanks far the it's a small world la la la laugh.

I was freaking out about the disclosure of information pertaining to witness statements, searches, and photos over the past few days. I still think it is wrong on so many different levels. Thanks for reminding me that it was hearsay.

Oh and by the way, Firecat is the queen of knowing and keeping the facts straight. I thought the SBD and the girlfriend, wife, ex-wife moved down to Florida with the mother as well.

JMO - there is an excellent program called Wireshark (http://www.wireshark.org/ ) that will allow you to literally track all network communications coming to and from your computer. It will display all of the communications on screen.

The folks that develop Samba (samba.org ) use a tool like this or maybe even Wireshark - dunno - to reverse engineer Microsoft's implimentation of TCP/IP that is used on Windows Server. http://www.samba.org

It is free and available for download -

But a more user friendly tool to weed this out - is to use a program called "Hijack this" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HijackThis

If you use wireshark - you are going to want to get yourself familiar with networking.

Basicly when you sign on the Internet you are assigned an IP number. Just like you have a phone number.

I suspect that you have a Trojan Horse on there - that is directing your DNS queries through a different DNS server.

If someone was bold enough to actually post here - I guess they don't realize that the Topix folks will have a record of the originating IP number - and all the IP numbers can be subsequently traced to however many ISP's that will cooperate. The dead end usually takes place when the ISP is outside North America and Europe.

This is by no means the first time I've heard of personal information being "leaked" so that the person whose information it is would know that they were being "watched."

If the person/s doing this are here now, you are taking a very illegal path for what reason I don't know. This behavior is in itself illegal and threatening.
Who would knowingly engage in illegal and threatening conduct, apparently without fear of being caught?

This behavior in itself indicates that Maura did not just happen to go missing and cheerfully started a new life. By your illegal and foolish actions, you are creating your own "smoking gun." Clearly, you think that you can't or won't be caught, that you are "above" responsibility for your acts.

I am deeply saddened and outraged for members here who have been on the receiving end of this crap.

I have a theory about the persons responsible for Maura's disappearance as I have followed some very interesting bread crumbs which led me on a trail. I have found some very disturbing things associated with those bread crumbs which have shown common factors in a number of disappearances in NH and VT especially. Silky also followed this trail, then, she died. I also know of a websleuther named Tybee who was very astute who was an avid swimmer, died in an accidental drowning. Accidents happen, no doubt. Women drown accidentally. They even drown in a few inches of water. Both were average people who dedicated their life to helping find the missing. They are just two amazing people I never met, but I applaud their efforts as regular citizens working to make the world a better and safer place. Sometimes in doing so, you make your own world a less safe place. I know there are those here who want to also make this world a better place and I believe in the power of intention, and the greatness that can come from a small group of committed individuals. I believe there is more good than evil in this world, so with that I implore the good people to contribute and look at a different theory about what happened to Maura. I know there are a lot of lurkers here. Some are in LE. I don't want to see another death ruled accidental when it is murder. I don't want to see another woman who disappears portrayed as her willingly doing so. I really hate unsolved mysteries. I know my goals are lofty, but if we shoot for the moon, we just may come away w/ some stars to illuminate our way.
