Thinking about this more... I've formed an opinion in my mind that tells me that we will never be given the information required to solve this. We'll get little pieces here and there -

Call me nuts - that's fine. I'm starting to think there is a "Wizzard" that decides what we should and shouldn't know.

Come on! A major piece of information - locating the last location of her cell phone within 22 miles of londonberry.

Draw a circle around Londonberry see where it crosses I-91 and you know where she was.

Suddenly - when we work very hard here to piece together some information - backflips, cartwheels - you name it - we figure out that what we got doesn't add up - and the discussion isn't helping "the Wizzard" suddenly we get a little innocent looking piece of information.

I'm steamed. Figure out what you can tell us and tell us.

I've read at least four other people become surprised about new information divulged at various times after some stonewalling. Not counting them - I'm not the only one to mention it.

Not nice to those that are sincere - not nice to the folks in New Hampshire.

Look - there's got to be a reason for the baffling events I've seen here.

If there is a Wizzard - be kind to the volunteers.

Ben, I do not have a cell phone nor pretend to understand how they operate (lol) but is this correct that she was near Londonderry when she checked her messages? That would place her out of MA, correct?

I am truly sickened by the latest news of a young man from Groton, VT killed in Haverhill, NH.
At first I thought ..unbelievable...then thinking back ...just the last 4 1/2 years..why is it not
believable? There appears to be so much anger in that area of NH. I will not again list the crimes
that have transpired within that time period. Crimes are not committed by content people. Duh!
Population under 5K. I do expect unfavorable "judging"..however, I do not care.
Yes, the "old timers" and family here know where my heart is....and has been..and will be.
Right now we are all snug in our homes and the Gray family in Groton, VT is crying.

RE:cell phone "pinging" from Londonderry, NH...wouldn't it be as important as to the
timing...ie ....if before, during...or after 7:30PM February 9, 2004. I am with Firecat here,
in the Spring of 2005 when this was being hashed over...I was completely of no use. All I knew and know was that there was no cell service in many areas there.
Was this "call' before noon...in the afternoon...or ...what time... on that Monday..
And, I KNOW that White River Junction was the last place on Rte.91 that had reception to Piermont, NH.in 2004.

I hope that this latest crime in this Northern part of Grafton County will finally
awaken the populous. Yes, shame on me, I still love my New Hampshire.

BF I am not doubting your intelligence, however your map readings are way off.....inches on a map do not imply travel time...ie...I live in Northern MA. Londonderry. NH would be a 2 hour drive to Haverhill, NH.

Many times I have noticed by someone posting here that the mileage is 200 miles...from Amherst, MA to Haverhill, NH. This is wrong. SharonR.
posted, as have many others that it is was.is approximately 146 miles..a 3 hour drive..
I have driven those miles and have verified those mileage/times.

Why is everyone deadset against her being in a protection program? This is an honest question. It is the only logical conclusion I can draw. When I call someone on my cell and they don't pick up. It shows up. After 6 sec. of airtime it counts as an actuall min.

Well I found this at the Court House I am assuming it was Public Information.
Of course someone near and dear to me knew I wouldn't be able to find it for you guys and forwarded it to me! Thank You!
Supporting Affidavit for Issuance of Search Warrant I, Todd D. Landry, do hereby depose and say;
1. That I am currently employed by the State Police and have been for the past ten years. Currently, I am assigned as a Detective at Trooop- F in Twin Mountain, NH. I have received extensive training in the investigation of criminal matters.
2. That on February 9, 2004 at 1927 hours the Haverhill, NH Police Department responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle crash on Route 112 in Haverhill, NH. Upon arrival, Sgt. Cecil Smith was unable to locate the driver of the vehicle. Subsequent investigation determined that the driver of the vehicle was MAURA MURRAY
3. A witness at the scene later confirmed that the driver was MURRAY.
4. An extensive search of the area has been conducted and MURRAY has not been located.
5. During the course of this investigation, Cellular Telephone records have been obtained by Law Enforcement that were used by MURRAY. A representative from Sprint Corporate Security advised this affiant that during the late afternoon hours of February 9, 2004 an outgoing telephone call was made to Murray from the Londonderry, NH Sprint tower. This call had to have been made from within a 22 mile radius of the tower. The identity of this caller and telephone number has not been made as of this date.
6. That identifying the caller of the telephone call could be pertinent to the ongoing ~ investigation and may lead to the whereabouts of Maura Murray.
7. Based on the foregoing, there is probable cause to believe evidence in the suspicious disappearance of Maura Murray may be found through Sprint Wireless Cell Tower Telephone Records, including any outgoing calls from the Londonderry tower of Sprint to Maura Murrays Sprint PCs number ** for February 9, 2004 from 0001 hours to 2400 hours.

This new cell phone info is interesting. IIRC the last time Maura used her phone was to check messages.....So Maura received a call that reached her through the Londonderry, VT tower? If she didn't answer it, it wouldn't show up on her bill, would it? Like if she checked the caller ID and decided not to talk... or if her phone was off... Wonder if it was Billy? It may just fit in with the timeline of her travel north up Rt. 91, IF we can find out the time. Sorry for the rambling, but White Wash sure found something stimulating.

So apparently, according to the affidavit it was an outgoing call from the cell tower to Maura's phone. That means it was a call to Maura. If I understand this correctly. At first I thought it was a call she made. This is huge and it was never, ever mentioned that I ever remember hearing.

Not deadset against it but if it was witness relocation there is no reason the feds would not tell the family. Even scumbags have their families notified. Why wouldn't someone who was doing it for supposed noble reasons be able to have thier family notified? To me it just doesn't seem reasonable.

Not in my opinion.
She had to be with 22 miles of the tower.
To my knowledge she supposedly check her messages at 4:30 I belive.
22 miles does not place her in MA
in my opinion.
It was also my understanding that
that call was on her phone bill.
I am not looking at notes so this is
all memory and you know what they say

Why would Maura be all the way east near Londonderry, NH? This is in my "area" and it takes about 2 hours to get from Amherst to near Londonderry.

This doesn't make sense since it's a really out-of-the-way route to where the Saturn wound up.

Maybe she wasn't intending to go to the places that she googled and left printed directions to?

I don't think the Saturn could've made to it to Woodsville by 7:00-7:30PM via this route, if she left Amherst at 4:30-ish.

What the heck is going on?

Months ago OH MY implied the Saturn was up in Woodsville before Monday, Feb. 9. Interesting.

Was Maura driving a different vehicle, since the Saturn wasn't shown in the ATM video?

One reason for her to go east within 20 miles of the coast would be if she went home first (east and south), and then headed north from there? She could NEVER make it up there by 7:30 if she did that.

Hello Quija & all,

Now, this is getting really complex, provided the Londonderry information is correct.

IF it is correct, then it would put Maura on I-93 rather than I-91 as previously thought.
The timeline would be way off, too, as you and others have rightlyt pointed out.
The timeline aside, Maura could exit the I-93 at Lincoln/North Woodstock and continue east on the Kancamagus Highway (Rte 112)towards the Conway/Bartlett area, or turn west on Rte 112 towards Swiftwater/Woodsville if she was possibly intending to continue into VT (Burlington?).

So, if this new information is to be believed, Maura must surely have left Amherst,MA, much earlier on the Monday than previously thought in order to be in the Londonderry, NH, area at the time indicated. The campus witness seeing Maura carrying a bag must have been wrong about the correct time - or actually lied about it, for some reason.

Now, whoever was driving the Saturn (Maura or not), could that car have been coming from the east (Lincoln/I-93) when it ended up by the Weathered Barn in Swiftwater?

I´ve seen references on this board to the Saturn having backed into the snowbank where it was later found.
Could the driver (whoever that was) have been arriving from the Lincoln direction and then for whatever reason stopped between the W-man and M-tte houses, reversed and smashed the Saturn into a snowbank in the eastbound lane with the car facing west? In order to stage a fake accident?

But if so, why? And, in particular, why in that particular spot?

What do you think?
