Thanks, LvsNH. Any ideas how Maura could've made it up to Haverhill by 7:00-7:30PM with this less direct (zig-zag) route? I'll appreciate any help with this because it's not making sense to me yet!

Hello again Quija,

Well, it doesn´t make any sense to me either, if that´s any consolation...

Just by looking at the maps of the area, it would seem quite impossible for Maura to have made it to Swiftwater by 7.30 pm or about that time.

The known timeline just doesn´t seem to add up here...

I did a Google Map direction and this is what they came up with. It would take about four hours to get to Swiftwater from Amherst going up I93.
Not sure if the link will work but here it is:

Hello all,

I´m getting very seriously fed up with those anonymous clueless morons handing out their utterly nonsensical "judgments" as if they have nothing better to do with their time!
How utterly imbecile and pathetic can one actually get???
Your behaviour is an absolute disgrace to all thinking and intelligent people around here, who devote such an incredible amount of their time and energy in order to hopefully find Maura.

I just can not keep quiet about this abominable and totally childish mis-use of the "judging" feature any more.
Enough is enough!

Yes --- the timelines we've taken for granted don't seem to work if Maura really was within 22 miles of Londonderry, NH. Unless we're missing a shortcut...)

This new information could change EVERYthing! Maura driving a different car northeast toward Londonderry, NH and someone else driving the Saturn straight to Woodsville???

I'm not into conspiracies, but this inconsistency in the timeline makes me think a second person with another car was involved --- not travelling in tandem, but one person taking the Saturn toward Haverhill, and Maura (or just her cellphone?) passing near Londonderry, NH. OMG, it is starting to sound like it all did start in Amherst....

Good map. It shows the extra mileage and trip time by the triangulation of the route. So, I guess everything depends on whether that search warrant panned out, and if Maura's cellphone was indeed near Londonderry, NH. I keep forgetting we don't know the TIME she received an incoming call. Hope we can find that out.

Whitewash, looking at your search warrant "application" it states that the incoming call to Maura's cell phone off the tower in Londonderry was LATE AFTERNOON. So -- Maura's cellphone (and Maura?) were in that area probably before 6PM, which fits into her leaving Amherst 4 or 4:30PM.

So many possibilities here, and altho I keep posting them I realize I'm not good at logistics, just raw (good or bad!) ideas. Here goes:

If Maura was in the Haverhill area around 7-7:30, then maybe someone else had her cellphone and was the one to check her messages from the Rt. 93 location.

Since Maura couldn't have had her cellphone AND been in Haverhill at 7:27, then maybe someone else was driving the Saturn from Amherst to Haverhill (without Maura's cellphone) and Maura was heading up Rt. 93, or near Londonderry at that time.

If Maura was abducted near Amherst and taken by force east toward Rt. 93 and Londonderry, maybe she still had her cellphone with her to record that "ping". If she answered the call and it appeared on the bill, if she was a "hostage", maybe the abductors told her to answer the call to make things seems "normal". So Police must know now who called.

Please debunk any/all of the above and I'd really like to hear all your thoughts on this new info! Thanks, Quij.

It looks like a 4 hour trip from Amherst, MA to Haverhill, NH going through Londonderry on I-93. Why would she change a 2 hour and 30 minute trip to 4 hours to get to Haverhill? I am pretty sure her destination wasn't Haverhill. If we assume that Lincoln or other points accessible from Lincoln was her destination it starts to make more sense. It is a wash as far as time goes. It is 3 hours 15 minutes if she went either by I-91 or cutting across to I-93. So why did she go past Lincoln if that was her at least initial destination. Also where was the store they know she was at? That wasn’t along I-91 correct? If it was then we will have some real problems making this work out. I need to look at the timeline again to figure out how this makes sense.

Hi Euro,

Yeah, there are weird random judgments being tossed out, but I've gotta tell you that you've contributed so many good ideas here, don't "lose it" now!

I'd like to say the negative judgments don't faze me, but the truth is I find them annoying (and the smallest bit demoralizing).

I think there are a few posters here who are angry, embittered and immature. This is their emotional outlet for frustration or rage. I understand it --- it's probably like keying a car of an annoying driver (or someone who has a better car than that person does). It's babyish, but maybe they'll get better at actually facing the poster they're judging. Or find another outlet! A highly recommended outlet: Take a baseball bat and go out into the woods. Find a dead but strong tree and just keep on swinging at it over and over as hard as you can until you're exhausted, your wrists are vibrating, or the tree crumbles. Of course, I never did this, "a friend" did (hahahahahaha). Keep up your good posts, Euro,
Quij

white wash...without the yeast the dough won't rise...got it?

Better double check your ingredients.

The call was made TO Maura's phone within a 22 mile radius.
In other words the call TO her phone pinged off of Londonderry tower.
The caller was within a 22 mile radius of the Londonderry tower and made a call TO Maura's phone.

That's right; there were conversations on the old forum about Maura taking Rt. 93 maybe to Woodstock, Lincoln, etc.--- and the trip time was about the same. But how did the Saturn GET to Woodsville by the time of the accident(s), even if Maura was headed elsewhere on 93? I guess I better look at the timeline again too. Thanks, Bill,

Well, this is weird. Several of uspent a lot of time on the wrong thinking!! So, if what you say is true, mcsmom, then the call TO Maura could've come from towns within 22 miles south in Massachusetts like Lowell, North Reading, Andover, Wilmington, Billerica, etc. Does Maura have family there? Maybe this call was already discussed on the earlier board, even tho I don't remember it.

whiston, it might've been a routine call from someone in Maura's family since I remember some did live in the towns I mentioned. You might also think about UMass Lowell, if you think there's any reason she was in contact with a student, prof, or administrator there.

I understand what you are saying. This again changes what I am thinking if you are correct. ARE YOU CERTAIN OF THIS? It doesn't mean that Maura was in range of a cell tower or that she made contact with the person who called her. Are you sure that is what it means?? I interpreted it differently and if you are right incorrectly.

"an outgoing telephone call was made to Murray from the Londonderry, NH Sprint tower. This call had to have been made from within a 22 mile radius of the tower."

Made to Murray.

That makes a big difference. Maura didn't make the call.

Someone from within 22 miles of Londonberry made the call.

Its kind of important to find out who that was.

Secondly - Amherst is closest to I-91 and it runs a streight line to exit on 112 to the accident site.

I-93 is 100 out of the way. Again - if she were in Amhurst at 4:30 - she'd have to be breaking the speed limit almost the entire way.

Its clear - the unidentified person who called her is highly suspect in my mind.
