Judged: 3 3 3 The child you refer to just might happen to disagree with that idea. You know... the kid with his or her own thoughts or feelings. You act as if innocent children are simply unfeeling objects, as if they are useful only as pawns to teach their parents a lesson. You believe no one should consider what the child would endure - possibly for life - just so you can exact your pound of vigilante flesh. A hundred years ago you and your kind would have been the first to lead a lynch mob. But don't worry, no one like you who suggests, however vaguely, that kidnapping a child is okay will EVER be viewed as a bully. |

Judged: 1 1 1 How about a yahoo message group that is by invitation only? |
|
Judged: 3 3 1 I don't know that that's the way to go, either, because that WILL limit the brain power. On the other hand. Harry? Take a quaalude. Stop taking Shack's words out of context, which is in fact what you did, since you didn't copy and paste the whole sentence even, just the part that makes her look bad. Could we talk about MAURA for a minute? We can't even get through a page without people calling each other out. This, frankly, is the reason I won't teach high school or junior high. These attitudes, and this drama. MAURA DESERVES BETTER. |

Judged: 5 3 3 Talk about diversionary tactics! |
|
Judged: 3 2 2 noticed my words were taken out of context.. But, the way things have been going lately.. Bottom line is that most know the truth, as do I. |
|
Judged: 3 3 2 This matters. Who said what to whom, who's being mean, who offended whom, whatever any of Alden's alter egos are spewing about now...that doesn't matter. Not really. Not here. Maura is missing. If we can't rise above our petty selfishness long enough to find her, whoever is responsible for what happened to her has won. Chew on THAT for a while. |

Judged: 5 5 5 I'm here but after catching up on the reading here I wish I was back up north at the lake. Got my loaf of bread ready as I see the attack ducks are all lined up. I'm sorry to see Bill leave and I also hope it's only temporary as he is one of just a handful of people that can see the difference between facts and fiction while keeping an open mind. I notice that others are getting it too JMO. But sadly when they get it they are ignored and their post gets buried. Carry a lifejacket at all times. The riptide can be very strong. |

Judged: 2 2 2 Hey, moron! Try crossing Mattoon on the crosswalk at the top of Triangle after dark AND when you're totally sober. When a car comes barreling up Triangle from Main, it inevitably takes that corner pretty wide. So wide, in fact, I recently saw a speed sign lying on the side of the road after having been run over by a car that took the corner too wide. It's a dangerous spot even for a sober person. And you want me to take a lude and go walking on Triangle round midnight. Kind of like Vasi. Interesting you should say that because maybe that's what the car's driver popped before making a delivery. Moron! Try standing on the side of Triangle and count the number of cars after dark. And figure out what percent of them have one or more pizzas and soft drinks on the front passenger seat. And figure out what would happen to the air bags when a car takes the turn at Mattoon too wide and hits the curb after striking a pedestrian. It's a lot - maybe 10 percent - because it's the FASTEST route between a pizza joint and the biggest concentration of pizza buyers west of Boston. Oh yeah, here's the link, but in case you don't want to click on it - can't blame you for that - next post has the text and link. http://amherst.dailyjolt.com/food/details.htm... |

Here's the link to all the NH town stats if anyone else is interested.

Judged: 2 1 1 Thanks elsewhere....I actually read the link from your original post. 48th highest is a lot different sounding than 2nd lowest, to whomever said that (it's gotten buried in all this invective, so I'm sorry I can't find the post to identify you). I can kind of see your point. But calling it 48th highest would, for obvious reasons, be false. I still think it's interesting that it's consistently one of the safest states for just about every major crime...except rape. Is that in part because of the massive tracts of wilderness and what have you? It's just a statistic that doesn't make sense to me. Don't know if I'm meant to be drawn to that statistic, but I can't help it. It's an anomaly in an otherwise safe state--and I'm female. But what could the reason for it be? |
|
Judged: 3 3 1 Wow, hit a nerve there, didn't I. "Bitch." " Moron." Interesting. Especially since I was addressing Alden of Amherst MA, not some dude named Harry in West Virginia. Very interesting. Vitriolic and possibly unstable, but interesting. |

The menu is the same as Pinnochio's, but they deliver SO fast, 15 minutes on average. Submitted February 21st, 2004 A hungry diner from Amherst College wrote: Bruno's reaches a zenith in pizza making which I have not been lucky enough to taste elsewhere in my life. But if you like mayo, make sure you really stress that to them because they've been skimping on it in the last couple of years. Submitted August 28th, 2003 A hungry diner from UMass wrote: Oh, man. Bruno's calzone's.... Mmmmmmmm... They're not soggy like Pinnochio's or icky like DP Dough's. They are perfect. UMmm so scrumptious, especially for those munchies.
