This quote from me was in a post judged "mean, incendiary, clueless." How interesting. Anyone care to elaborate on how this statement is any of the above? It was by you. Therefore someone made a judgment based on that alone, not on content.

For that year the State of New Hampshire had a total Crime Index of 2,433.1 reported incidents per 100,000 people. This ranked the state as having the 48th highest total Crime Index. Ok, so what I'm hearing is that NH is a pretty safe state, EXCEPT IN CASES OF RAPE. Gee, that's comforting. Not.

from the same site wrote: <quoted text> Didn't you leave something out, like the explanation of the index? "Planning a trip to a New Hampshire hotel? The crime rates are low, so the bed and breakfasts are safe in just about any area. You can even find campgrounds to bring your family to enjoy the great outdoors. The table below provides the rank of each State's reported rate of crime as compared to the 50 States and the District of Columbia. 1 = the highest reported crime rate and 51 = the lowest. Going from one year to the next a higher number means, that compared to other States, the relative crime rate is increasing and a lower number means that the relative level of crime is decreasing. The Index category represents the total number of crimes, and since most crimes involve property crime it is weighted towards these types of crime." http://www.disastercenter.com/crime/nhcrime.h... I don't see what you're getting at. She's posting the statistics that clearly state NH is a safe state, AND she posted the link, so what are you trying to criticize here? You're making the same point she was.

This thread makes me sick. Physically ill. Hopefully it implodes soon and another starts up on a neutral, moderated site. I'm fed up with the immature knee-jerk exchanges. It's not helping Maura or any effort to find her abductor. At all. I'm out for good.

You're making the same point she was. Stating the statstics as, for example, the "48th highest" leaves the impresion that it is at the top. If it said "48th lowest" it would be a better representation of what the data is showing.

On an aside that made sense, I saw a car near Walmart with vanity plate - SEARCH - that is what I will do.

Yes Half Moon, this is a pattern of diversion that needs to be BROKEN now! Try to remember everyone that there was a brutal murder and the body of an innocent victim was found on Lime Kiln Road in No. Haverhill, not far from where Maura disappeared not far from where Tom Conrad was shot several times as he arrived home from work!

Just offering a positive comment,Ben...to say that your detailed info about copying a hard drive a week or so ago was a solid contribution...great to have that skillset. Thanks, too, for a vote for the quiet ppl. They are not "sneaky". It has been my experience that they are the ones with their brains engaged (no offense to ANYONE here...just sayin'). ;-) Carry on!

Hello all, I just checked in to read the recent messages. To be honest, I feel very saddened by the constant bickering and in-fighting here. I may check in from time to time, but for the time being I shall refrain from posting. I still hope for a revived forum to take shape in due course. Maura very much deserves that!

Anne...(Ditto)...Half Moon.. Saturnus (sp?) Please don't let the bullies put or get you down...Stay and ignore them. Most likely the reasoning we all started here were bullies. Bullies do the crimes. This is still a criminal investigation, isn't it? Every day I hope that MA/NH SP and the TEAM are still working on it. We are all sick and tired of the crap...I am glad that Fred doesn't read here.
