These nasty ones should have their own child missing.
The child you refer to just might happen to disagree with that idea. You know... the kid with his or her own thoughts or feelings. You act as if innocent children are simply unfeeling objects, as if they are useful only as pawns to teach their parents a lesson. You believe no one should consider what the child would endure - possibly for life - just so you can exact your pound of vigilante flesh.

A hundred years ago you and your kind would have been the first to lead a lynch mob.

But don't worry, no one like you who suggests, however vaguely, that kidnapping a child is okay will EVER be viewed as a bully.

"The FBI, New Hampshire State Police, Massachusetts State Police, and two local police departments were contacted several times as long as two years ago. Not long after my last attempt to contact LE last summer, I was roughed up by the police, who also fabricated an elaborate and vicious lie told to my wife in a successful effort to get her to divorce me. You think I'll be going back to LE any time soon? You think I don't know where the effort to silence me originates? Just for the record, it's not with any member of the Murray family, who are beyond reproach, nor with anyone they knew prior to Maura's disappearance."

Those are your own words above Alden, just to keep the record straight and all.

Hello all,
I just checked in to read the recent messages.
To be honest, I feel very saddened by the constant bickering and in-fighting here.
I may check in from time to time, but for the time being I shall refrain from posting.
I still hope for a revived forum to take shape in due course.
Maura very much deserves that!

I don't know that that's the way to go, either, because that WILL limit the brain power.

On the other hand. Harry? Take a quaalude. Stop taking Shack's words out of context, which is in fact what you did, since you didn't copy and paste the whole sentence even, just the part that makes her look bad.

Could we talk about MAURA for a minute? We can't even get through a page without people calling each other out. This, frankly, is the reason I won't teach high school or junior high. These attitudes, and this drama.

MAURA DESERVES BETTER.

There was an interesting, on topic discussion going on here until S and SB started posting with their negativity and insults, egged on by a few others.

Maura Murray disappeared four years ago after a one-car accident near Haverhill NH.

This matters.

Who said what to whom, who's being mean, who offended whom, whatever any of Alden's alter egos are spewing about now...that doesn't matter. Not really. Not here.

Maura is missing. If we can't rise above our petty selfishness long enough to find her, whoever is responsible for what happened to her has won.

Chew on THAT for a while.

Sorry for your sign-off, which is totally understandable. There are disparate beliefs, views, and approaches to examining this topic that, realistically, may not be reconciled here.
We'll call your parting just temporary - you've come back before.
Terrific essays!...informational, original and authentic... obvious intelligence...but may be wasted here.
There seems to be an undertow...hell, nearly a riptide that's pulling a few of us way out to sea.
Hey, Wowzer...you there? She gets it, too.
Folks, please don't co-mingle issues. Though conveniently situated side-by-side in Topix....the Maura Murray and Kenney/McKay/Floyd stories are not married in content as much as they might seem to be when more than casually considered.
Projecting blame onto LE is a simple solution, though not fair or wise. Antagonizing LE can never be productive and can only be a disservice to Fred Murray and his family.
Insisting on pervasive criminal intent by unknown elements of society, local and state-wide, is not my perspective on the matter. Fact is, no one knows what happened to Maura Murray. There is no one to blame. Yet.
Fortunately, I have more of a need to listen than to speak. I may continue to interject...but only occasionally, to the great relief of a few. ;-)

I'm here but after catching up on the reading here I wish I was back up north at the lake.
Got my loaf of bread ready as I see the attack ducks are all lined up.
I'm sorry to see Bill leave and I also hope it's only temporary as he is one of just a handful of people that can see the difference between facts and fiction while keeping an open mind.
I notice that others are getting it too JMO. But sadly when they get it they are ignored and their post gets buried. Carry a lifejacket at all times. The riptide can be very strong.

Take a what? Oh yeah, that's my cue from the bitch who's all brains and no sense.

Hey, moron! Try crossing Mattoon on the crosswalk at the top of Triangle after dark AND when you're totally sober. When a car comes barreling up Triangle from Main, it inevitably takes that corner pretty wide. So wide, in fact, I recently saw a speed sign lying on the side of the road after having been run over by a car that took the corner too wide. It's a dangerous spot even for a sober person.

And you want me to take a lude and go walking on Triangle round midnight. Kind of like Vasi. Interesting you should say that because maybe that's what the car's driver popped before making a delivery.

Moron! Try standing on the side of Triangle and count the number of cars after dark. And figure out what percent of them have one or more pizzas and soft drinks on the front passenger seat. And figure out what would happen to the air bags when a car takes the turn at Mattoon too wide and hits the curb after striking a pedestrian.

It's a lot - maybe 10 percent - because it's the FASTEST route between a pizza joint and the biggest concentration of pizza buyers west of Boston.

Oh yeah, here's the link, but in case you don't want to click on it - can't blame you for that - next post has the text and link.

But they are just misunderstood. Their words are taken the wrong way. They do not spew hate, insults and negativity. They do no wrong, it is everyone else. Ask them and they will tell you.

Thanks elsewhere....I actually read the link from your original post.

48th highest is a lot different sounding than 2nd lowest, to whomever said that (it's gotten buried in all this invective, so I'm sorry I can't find the post to identify you). I can kind of see your point. But calling it 48th highest would, for obvious reasons, be false.

I still think it's interesting that it's consistently one of the safest states for just about every major crime...except rape. Is that in part because of the massive tracts of wilderness and what have you? It's just a statistic that doesn't make sense to me. Don't know if I'm meant to be drawn to that statistic, but I can't help it. It's an anomaly in an otherwise safe state--and I'm female.

But what could the reason for it be?

Wow, hit a nerve there, didn't I. "Bitch." " Moron."

Interesting. Especially since I was addressing Alden of Amherst MA, not some dude named Harry in West Virginia.

Very interesting.
