See I don't get this! Why not go the extra step take a picture send into HPD! Wowzer wrote: <quoted text> I asked a while back who the person was that saw the underware at the bottom of the tree. I then asked the person when she came forward if she had taken pictures or told any LE and she stated no. I asked this for a reason. When I first saw this stated on the old site I could'nt believe it as I went by the tree all the time and always looked there and never saw any clothing.I drove that same day to the tree with a friend and we saw no clothing. I asked two people that I know would have noticed and they also said they never saw any underwear or clothing. This has bothered me for quite some time but now I don't really care if I get slammed for stating the truth as I see it about this. There WAS clothing found on the other end of 112 in the vicinity of split rock and I did see a bra hanging from a tree and clothing on the ground. There was also a garbage bag a little further away with what looked like more clothing in it. To me it looked like it fell out of someone's pickup. It was also being picked up by what looked like LE so someone must have reported it and it was checked out even if some think LE just sits around doing nothing.

Sybil where are you???? Can you tell us more on this please? Thanks Sybil wrote: There's a guy who owns a red Ford pu always got firewood in it who worked next door to an Amherst art gallery who is acquainted if not friends with someone near where the car was found and who lived in a spot Verizon didn't reach too well.

I'm pretty sure the day the individual noted the underwear seen at the base of the tree was an aferthought. We were discussing items being found at the crash site of another case and it prompted this person to remember and speak up. This person noticed the underwear at the base of the tree right around the same time Liko Kenney's poster was put up on the tree and this was what prompted this individual to get out of her vehicle and to take a closer look. Hopefully, someone else saw them and reported it to LE. Even if it was someone's idea of a sick joke.

whitewash, euro, whiston, wowzer, et al --- I too agree that Kur'ts poem tells a lot. When it was first posted on the MMM site, we were instructed not to discuss it. Whether we knew her or not, it's probably time to admit that Maura really is the All American Girl, with all kinds of conflicting emotions, bottled-up resentments, lots of love and the usual confusion.(I'm not a poet like Kurt is, but what he wrote makes Maura a more real human being IMHO.) I hope she's OK.

If you would rather believe the drama and fabrications that's up to you. This is exactly why I never volunteered information on the MMM site. And I also remember the Liko sign story. I also got out and took a look. Another important fact elsewhere... I do not lie or make up stories!!!

I am beginning to wonder why the truth is not welcome or wanted by some here and why when it comes to her previous life and her family it is taboo. I'm starting to sound like Whiston. I also hope she is OK Quija.

It is someone who owns property in your town and pays taxes who made that claim. And it wasn't Shack, I'll be damned if you drag her into this. Hey look, I'm not about to pick a fight with you. Again, I certainly did accuse you of lying.

I know who said it and if it doesn't seem strange that no one else saw panties under that tree even though it was claimed that other people went to look after it was mentioned then they must all be um not telling the truth too. I'm sorry you feel I'm trying to pick a fight by telling the truth. I bet if I said I saw 3 men dressed in black trench coats with guns sticking out of their pockets all huddled around that tree with the blue ribbon there would be no doubts that I was telling the truth.

Wowzer wrote: <quoted text> You are absolutely correct JMO. It is insignificant and that is why instead of wasting my time and printer ink I thought it more worthwhile to do some canning and "getting ready for winter" stuff. I visited a few friends too in the past few days and they agreed after reading some of the comments that this will be a great form of entertainment when the snow is knee high to a giraffe and we are stuck in the house. They actually weren't aware of this forum but they are now and seemed quite amused at seeing whackadoodles in action although that isn't exactly the word they used. I have a whole new outlook now.:) Hmm Wowzer, Your above statement speaks for itself.

That's still how I feel at times when people like you that fear the truth jump on people like me that are tired of all the dramatic BS that has gone on for the last 4 years and when we get brave enough to speak the truth we get piled on by the attack ducks. What's up with that? Why do some get so upset when the word truth is mentioned? Wackadoodles, I like that word.

Wowzer, All you have ever done is look inward at yourself rather than looking outward. Maura was a beautiful young tourist, 5'7", 120 pounds, and twenty two years of age when she went missing. Instead of considering the possiblity of her being victim you look inward at yourself and weigh the possibilities on how you are treated. It's great that you got a flat and some nice people stopped to help. Are you young, beautiful, 5'7", 120 pounds? I just got finished reading an article where Montreal treats all of their missing persons as homicides. It really is a crying shame that every state here in the US does not. Thus far Nevada is the only one. This is a crying shame. It is almost five years and Maura's SS#, credit cards, and banks accounts have remained untouched. She has not contacted her family. But yet and all people are still considering the runaway theory. Whose Whack?????????

I was WRONG about the Year that NHSP retrieved items from the Murray family. It was June 2004...NOT 2005. A friend with better notes and records corrected me...The family only had the items from February 2004 to June 2004. My apologies for being "absent without memory"...(The original Maura Murray Forum started in November 2004...and I didn't join until the Spring of 2005) copy/paste below: Because it has been nearly five months since the night Murray disappeared, and because state police believe there is not a lot to look for, Scarinza said it's appropriate to have the items in the car at the time of the accident returned to investigators so they can be held as possible evidence. "I don't know what we will do with them," he said. "We want to have all the items if we need them. At this point, we are holding them for evidence." When asked whether any of the items, including clothing and books, had been analyzed for forensic evidence in the beginning of the investigation, he said, "You don't just send a bag of stuff down there." However, he did say the items in Murray's black 1996 Saturn were inventoried by Haverhill police officers during the first week of the investigation back in February.

White Wash wrote: June of 2005 Police retrieve items! Well folks Feb 04 to June 05 the family had her items and did what? I do believe they had PI's involved then do! I am I the only PERSON going HELLO??? <quoted text> Oh oh wait a minute....sorry, I've taken a short break and just now back, but HELLOOOOOO!!!! And for a different reason. I'm going to list a timeline here. This is a very important timeline, and I'm referring to everyone reading this (Shack?), so pay very close attention to the dates. And the YEAR. This year has been corrected before but it has been ignored. 2004, May 29 - Maura's dorm items and computer retrieved from her dorm room by family. 2004, June 15 - Fred Murray files 1st Freedom of Information Act. 2004, June 22 - Fred Murray is informed that Major Crimes is involved in Maura's case.(hope!) 2004, June 25 - SIU of Major Crimes (State Police) go to the home of Maura's sister and retrieve items for which there is a signed receipt. At the same time, the computer is retrieved. Receipt of the computer, by NH State Police, is NOT noted. The items in Maura's dorm remained there until May 29th, 2004. Fred Murray had the hope that she would return. A parent's hope. He left her items in the dorm so they would be there when she returned. What does one have if you don't have hope? You don't have a daughter. As Sharon has said, you lose your luggage, you don't lose a child. Fred Murray has been played like a fiddle.

Who said they were going to read this topix forum for enjoyment during the winter while canning? I certainly don't need to waste my time to go back and find it but I know it was from someone from the area. What you guys see above is a SMALL select group from the area. This group here do not represent the majority of comments and thoughts from the fine citizens where Maura Murray went missing. Those individuals dare not post on here because, as has already been experienced by a poster here, they will have to endure the WRATH of posters as represented above. For those reading and that aren't from the area, please know that the majority of fine citizens show compassion and concern for the Murray family. And, no, White Wash, I'm not bipolar but I do recognize symptoms when I see them.

White Wash wrote: Seriously who can for 100 Maura even wore underware? Seriously you think someone is going to run around and plant underware?? You need to get out more you'd be AMAZED at what gets thrown out car windows. <quoted text> Maura spent extended amounts of time at the home of Billy. Sharon has confirmed, with me last year, that while at their home, Maura would do her laundry, and, yes, she wore underwear. Underwear was not included on the inventory.
