Although there are many ways in which this could be called a "witch hunt," I don't think any of them are literal.

Owns a couple of sports teams. Searches for Signs of Extra-Terrestrial Intelligent Life in the Universe (SETI). Survived Hodgkins Disease, an event that apparently changed his outlook in a number of ways. He got healthy. Took his vitamins. And gosh darn if two of his closest business buddies (aka errand boys/fronts) don't have a certain business connection to Amherst.

But only the dedicated have the will to search the document to see/find it. Can't say Col. Mustard did it in the conservatory with the wrench. And some cops are just plain antagonized by this case. They like to take those who speak up for a long ride. Been there, done that. The people at the top of the supply chain are close to immediate family (not Murray). Too close. And utterly corrupt. And they are beyond the reach of LE anyway. Only by seeing this not just on the local level but on the national and international level, will the real problem be properly addressed. This is just one case. No one that posts here is oriented to the larger scale, so they scoff at what they do not understand, but a larger scale DOES exist. People effortlessly makes hundreds of millions of dollars off of the suffering of other people. Maura Murray's disappearance, if it is an involuntary one, to me, is only one case, one point of leverage. But the big picture has an extreme personal component close to home, very, very close to home - one made fun of not too long ago.

Say there's 100 guys who know each other at the country club. Maybe one week, 7 of them will invest in a biz together. Next week, maybe 3 of those 7 will find 2 different people to invest with them on something totally unrelated. These businesses may be held onto for a long time, or flipped fast. Two or more businesses may merge, get spun off from a parent company, become part of a reverse merger, etc. It's just who gets together with what money, connections, and interests at a certain time. It's not monolithic. 5 guys supply steroids, for example. Two of them also dabble in stolen art with a different set of four other guys. Then the art supply dries up for a few months, or maybe forever, and they go on to something else. It's sort of a Theseus' Ship of criminals and business people.

Or even what was meant by the question, but it's definitely germane. Almost no one knows about Putney Road. Without understanding a variety of details, Maura Murray's disappearance will never be solved.

A representative from Sprint Corporate Security advised this affiant that during the late afternoon hours of February 9, 2004 an outgoing telephone call was made to Murray from the Londonderry, NH Sprint tower. This call had to have been made from within a 22 mile radius of the tower. The identity of this caller and telephone number has not been made as of this date. 6. That identifying the caller of the telephone call could be pertinent to the ongoing ~ investigation and may lead to the whereabouts of Maura Murray. 9' 7. Based on the foregoing, there is probable cause to believe evidence in the suspicious disappearance of Maura Murray may be found through Sprint Wireless Cell Tower Telephone Records, including any outgoing calls from the Londonderry tower of Sprint to Maura Murrays Sprint PCs number * for February 9, 2004 from 0001 hours to 2400 hours. Todd D. Landry I'm confused as to how many years Landry has been employed by state police. This is what it states on the court affidavit. I, Todd D.Landry, hereby swear and affirm as follows; 1.I am currently employed by the State of New Hampshire, Division of State police as Sergent. I have been employed by the State Police for 13 years.I have been involved in the investigation regard Maura Murray since February,2004. His court Affidavit says he's been employed with state police for 13 years but the supporting Affidavit for Issuance of Search Warrant says he's been employed by state police for 10 years.
