You can hop the plane with her! Right cause it's better to a few who think they are RIGHT from far a way than MANY walking the woods, keeping Maura in the media, talking to the locals! When Feb comes and goes and it's a cold case it will still be the few of you bashing those of us who actually got off our ASS and did SOMETHING! Lady Gray wrote: <quoted text> Wow.

WHITE WASH wrote: FireCat you stated "they had collected DNA evidence (from a toothbrush, a hairbrush, etc)" Why on earth would they spend all that money on DNA testing for a pair of panties and not THE AIR BAGS in the car she normally drove? I don't know.(excepting the fact that they thought she was driving at the time) But I STILL haven't heard a confirmation from anyone that they have. Not even this from you is a confirmation. It's an attempt at twisting logic. IF they have tested the airbags, why the hell is it so hard for you to type the sentence "They have tested the air bag(s) for DNA evidence." Or, if they haven't, to type, "They have not tested the air bag(s) for DNA evidence." That's all I'm asking you to do. It's not that hard. In fact, it's easier than avoiding the question. If a person does that on a witness stand, the judge instructs them to answer the question because the judge sees through the BS in about a minute and a half. If it's a simple case of "I'm not allowed to talk about it because it's not public knowledge and I'll get in trouble for flapping my yap" then come out and say that. If you're trying to be helpful and feed us information, being a bit less truculent might work to your advantage if you want people to believe you and take a trail of breadcrumbs you might be laying out. So, DID the airbags have DNA tests done on them? I find it very disturbing that you drop these insinuations like breadcrumbs, expecting us to follow in a certain direction, and upon repeated requests for clarification or confirmation, you continue to go on the defensive and answer questions with another leading question.

WHITE WASH wrote: Just for the record I spoke to Monaghan's Boss for my piece. Lady Gray would you like someone coming to your house? Your husband's kids games ect to ask him about a case? Especially after he transferred out of the dept? Shame Shame Shame on you! But all tacks this area has grown use to as you can see first hand. <quoted text> Regardless of whether or not anyone would like it, if it's an open missing persons case and one worked in law enforcement, one should likely expect it. Do you think Maura's family likes having to do interviews and be on 20/20? Do you think they like having to search the woods and look under tarps to see if these remains are her body? Seriously. When you're in LE, you do uncomfortable things. You've chosen to put yourself in the path of doing so, by entering the Academy and wearing the badge.

Ok, White Wash, let me point out that a decent reporter (which you surely know, if you are a JO photographer and employee--who, it must be said, attached a BYLINE to her story that she keeps pointing us to, so no fair pretending it's a threat when we address you by name; you PUBLISHED it) does not "show up" on someone's doorstep expecting to be invited in. Yes, sometimes they do. But just as often, they.....oh, I don't know.....CALL TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR AN INTERVIEW AND ASK IF THE PERSON IS WILLING TO BE INTERVIEWED. At least, that's the way it usually works at a real newspaper. Don't know what the hell imaginary newspaper you've been around if you expect us to believe you waltz into someone's living room without at least a phone call first. When you wrote the article WITH YOUR NAME ATTACHED TO IT, did you just show up to those places, or did you ask people before hand if they were going to be home/available/willing to talk to you?

Pardon me, I misstated the initials of the newspaper for which you work. It's early yet, and I misspoke. All those darned initials......

And not only that.....I could school YOU on Maura's case. White Wash, mcsmom here is referring to the article information in the Hansen Express. No one has EVER questioned your ability, talent, or career as a JO photographer. But there's a difference between being a news photographer and a news reporter. Would you trust John Doe from JO with your camera on an assignment?(if your answer is yes, I probably *will* start to question your integrity and talent as a photographer) Same goes the other way. One is not better, they're just DIFFERENT. So don't keep flip flopping between "I'm the media, I'm a journalist" and "I'm not a reporter" when it suits you. You are what you are. You contribute what you contribute. Which is photographs. Which is swell. Hanson Express surely thanked you (and hopefully paid you) for those photos.

Pretty sure you just did in your prior post! But whatever pretty much over being bitched slapped around by a bunch of people who refuse to get off their asses to help but can sit around finding fault with any and all efforts! You have successfully cause 1 more to be D O N E here cause bitching is far more important than having people look for her! I respond really poorly to "pretty please with sugar on it" as well. I am completely unreasonable. southern avenger - are you Chris King?

Those 32 pages of Grafton County Sheriffs Dept Log are comprised of 11 Towns. Alexandria, Bath, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Franklin, Grafton, Groton, Haverhill, Hebron, Lisbon, Littleton. I tried to find a comparable call for the 7PM scanner call. If it is there, I couldn't find it. Page 3 Bath, starts at 9:02PM (nothing significant) From what I can find, there were 3 incidents for the EMS between 7:42PM - 10:51PM (#1,/112,#2,/Lime Kiln, Haverhill and #3,/Bunga Rd, Bath) I don't know the specifics as to how Log was requested.....but, there are more Towns included than what was needed for Maura's case. Question, that I am sure will not get answered here...does FD/EMS keep their own records..(perhaps the Murray family has that info....) I couldn't find any words (that doesn't mean that they are NOT there)regarding "turn back..turn around...left in private vehicle" or even mention of Northland. Can't figure out why it was "printed" in Nov.2004" ..it didn't state "revision date"...and it looks like changes were made.

Thanks for the info on the Grafton County Dispatch Log Shack.
Got my digits wrong, think I stated there were 23 pages instead of 32.

I'm not sure how I missed that." I think it must be? For others reading, White Wash is NOT the author/photographer of that series. ‘Maura is Missing” series honored at NEPA Written by Justin Graeber Friday, 08 February 2008 19:00 The Express took home three awards at the New England Press Association’s Better Newspaper contest Saturday night, including two top prizes. The Express took home three awards at the New England Press Association’s Better Newspaper contest Saturday night, including two top prizes. Express Publisher Josh Cutler and Editor Justin Graeber display the award at the NEPA convention Saturday in Boston. Maribeth Conway was honored with a first place prize in the category of investigative reporting for her four-part series on the disappearance of 21-year-old Hanson woman Maura Murray four years ago. The series was edited by Josh Cutler. Here’s some of what the judges had to say: “A remarkable series!… The story shows off all the qualities of good journalism –– tremendous sourcing, meticulous research, tracking paper trails, etc.–– and it tells a fascinating and heart-breaking story. The Hanson Express should be commended for publishing such a first-rate series. Reporter Maribeth Conway and her editor Josh Cutler also need to be commended for their hard work in pulling together such a comprehensive package of information for readers. Maybe someday their incredible work will help solve the mystery of Maura Murray’s disappearance.” http://www.whitmanhansonexpress.com/index.php...

Another thought... this Forum, is well attended by literate/articulate and caring thoughtful people. When anger erupts it takes away from the intent to keep the memory of a missing girl. In my mind, Maura wanted to just get away for a bit. She didn't want to get away forever. When new readers come to read, it doesn't always look like we are concerned about a crime. I hope that the SP, if they do read some of this, don't assume some of the negative attitudes portrayed here. I would say that their education and training would not allow for personal feelings, and would not reflect in their investigation.

White Wash is the author of an article in the Journal Opinion. She is also a photographer for JO; she's just pointed out to us (because I hadn't really paid much attention one way or the other) that the Hanson Express used one of her photos in their article. Not sure which one, I'll have to go look now, because I'm curious.
