#7 Floyd's son put in a cellar hole for a home and the town told him he could't build on Hummingbird Lane so there is a place to look.
It is not a cellar hole it is an underground small "root cellar" like a number of people had growing up in the 50s and 60s. It is for storing provisions. This can be verified by the description of a search that was conducted by the NHSP it is part of the public record that Mr. King is in possession of.
What happened to the red truck that was parked at Indeligato's house after his arrest?
Partial, possible scenario: At some location, the car is stopped. Maura is outside the car, the trunk is open, the engine is running. Maura closes her door, absentmindedly locking all the doors. The rag is used to stop the engine. Someone backs up to the car and sets off the airbags.
this rumor didn't surface until after 5/11. Maura did not date Floyds son.

thank you, I was trying to point out how rumor becomes fact to some with absolutely no logic or foresight given.
Does anyone know roughly how many covered bridges there are within, say, a 50-75 mile radius of Haverhill? I know covered bridges are not uncommon in New England, but is there one in every town? One out of three towns? One town in twenty? Covered bridges are admired not just because they look pretty, but because of their unique architecture. People travel specific routes, listed in guide books, from one covered bridge to another, just to look at them, photograph them, and inspect them. Where is the second closest covered bridge to the location where Maura's car was found? Thanks.
What do covered bridges have to do with anything about this case? Are you saying Maura was on a sightseeing trip of covered bridges. I am confused. Just wondering.
Thanks for your question. No, I'm not saying she was on a tour of covered bridges. I'm wondering whether someone on a tour of covered bridges or railroad towns or whatever, passing through the area, either saw something or perhaps even did something related to Maura's disappearance. There are several "external" factors common to a series of murders/disappearances/attempt ed abductions, one of which is architecture of a particular style.
Another external factor in the disappearances of Molly Bish, Tina and Bethany Sinclair, Maura Murray, and the attempted abduction of Lindsey Ferguson is the close proximity of these victims to delivery points of chemicals used to treat public drinking water.
Town X is the location of the chemical company.
Town X is unique and well known for its abundance of a particular kind of architecture. Town X is basically the hometown (adjoining town) of Lindsey Ferguson's attacker, John Regan.
I don't think someone like Regan takes much of an interest in architectural or historical stuff like this, but I bet he knows someone who does.
For example, through sheer chance, I met a guy yesterday in a graveyard where I was doing a little informal historical research. He walked right in through the gate beside which I was standing while reading a plaque. He walked straight ahead, very directly, to what is by far the most unusal grave in the cemetery, one that contains 48 people killed in a 17th century attack. He and his wife were on a kind of historical tour of places related to a certain period of North American history. There are more of these kinds of people around than the general public realizes.
What's interesting is that someone closely and uniquely related to the chemical company mentioned above spent several years living very near that graveyard.
Regan inexplicably pleaded guilty to the Ferguson attack, thus keeping his mouth shut about the details behind the attack. Not long after Regan was sentenced, his lawyer received a heft "retainer" from a subsidiary of the chemical company.
And these are only a few of the external factors involved. If every town in the northeast has a covered bridge, a well field that receives deliveries of chemicals from this chemical company in Town X, and so on, then these external factors don't mean much. But if these external factors occur in just a very few locations, and there are unsolved murders or unexplained disappearances in these same locations, then these associations should be looked at more closely. There may be nothing to it, but it may mean that someone is choosing these towns for a reason.
It's also possible that if Maura carried a good sized life insurance policy that the insurance company doesn't way to pay or decided to find a way to avoid it. If they can make the case for suicide, for example, or a previously undisclosed illness, then they won't pay. I don't know how a prolonged disappearance works in terms of payment, but I imagine it works to the advantage of the insurance company. It usually does.
Maybe ten years or so ago I happened to sit next to a PI who worked for a life insurance company. He briefly told me what he did for a living. I asked him, what's to investigate? Either the person's dead or alive. Can't be that much to it, right? Wrong. His whole job was to find some reason for the insurance company not to pay. If the policy was big enough, his effort corresponded accordingly. It was pretty disgusting, but there were some legal issues about it that made sense, too. It was far more complicated than I would ever have imagined.
I believe that it is loathsome and frankly suspicious for anyone to attack Maura's family in their search for answers.
I believe that Floyd, as violent and dangerous as he clearly is, had nothing whatsoever to do with Maura's disappearance, and anything that suggests that he did is deflecting attention, intentionally or inadvertently, from the actual crime.
I do not believe that she committed suicide, or intended to commit suicide.
I do not believe that she was drunk, had an accident, and fled the scene to avoid DUI charges.
I do not believe that the damage to her car was caused by "trees" or "snowbanks" but another, less innocent object, and most likely another vehicle.
I believe that the evidence at the A-frame is very relevant, maybe pivotal. It also is connected to Pauline Clark's not-so-"accidental" death a few yards away.
I believe that it is likely that Maura, and possibly many other victims in NH, probably also VT, maybe ME and maybe Quebec, over 20-30 years, were victims of a serial killer who is still very much in the area and very much a threat.
I believe that SBD knows a lot more than he has told, maybe out of guilt, maybe out of fear, or a combination.
I believe that the CW's story is extremely suspicious on many levels.
I think, though I am not sure, that the important answers are in the Swiftwater area, not at UMass.
I believe that LE was more than negligent, that they are actively covering up facts or covering for someone who may or may not actually be in LE or emergency services.
I believe that it is very significant that there is a high level of hostility among many locals of the area toward those who are looking for answers, and I think this narrow-mindedness is fueled by a guilt about some of the elements present in these communities that is going unchecked. I think it's also fueled by a foolhardy sense that it somehow won't touch them. I see a combination of fear and powerlessness about the "powers that be", as well as a strong dislike for outsiders.
This has become way out for me.....Grasping at straws is.....I don't know..just too much at this time.....
It is February 4th 2004....The midddle of winter.....Not much sightseeing for that stuff.
I know what you mean, but these people aren't necessarily your average tourists. Besides, a lot of people combine skiing with other vacation interests, especially if everyone on the trip doesn't ski.
Or they do things like this:
It is easy to blame Maurra for everything but with the damage to her car I would have to say it wasn't just caused by Maura, I believe she had help from at least one person maybe more as who knows the area who she either knew or she upset to the point of retaliation for some reason.
Floyd lives very close to the MMM location and he has been talking about how he has killed more than 40 people and he lives a few miles from there.
There is a covered bridge in Swiftwater and Bath and an unused one in Woodsville just to let you know.
Now there has got to be a reason why Maura was in that area right because it is out of the way for her to go to Haverhill as I am sure it was out of her way unless she had a friend on Lime Kiln Rd. like I was told and they went to a party or to a bar where they were seperated and then Maura met some type of criminal element or overheard or saw something she was not supposed to and then the people she ran into abducted her and in the process she was hurt and then there was no turning back for the criminals so they disposed of her after keeping her in that A-frame in the closet for some time while they planned all this.
I do know that there were people calling in to report accidents but no one was there when the police showed up,untill the police got to the MMM site. Now where Maura went is still speculation on everyones part!
I am going to keep my Antenna's up to see if I can learn more but bits of data on this case keep comming in from local people so that means people up in that area genuinely do care, ok some do!
"Thanks. It’s definitely interesting stuff, but it can drive you crazy real fast, too. Especially when a certain someone who received combat training in the military, who worked at an Amherst area athletic club, who attended UMass, who worked for CUC, who claims to be investigating one or more well known western Massachusetts abductions, whose father or grandfather beat and shot his wife to death at a truck stop before going home to tell his kids,“Mommy is dead,” who imitates Frank Kelly chapter and verse, who fancies herself “The Closer,” and who also says she might steal your trash and follow you around… Gee, it sort of makes you wonder what the point of all this crap really is."
Now look on this page to see an equally absurd, almost identical post.
The "theory du jour" -
Tourists, who weren't really there for covered bridges, or some of them weren't so went for a drive to scenic Swiftwater while their companions, more interested in skiing but also interested in covered bridges, went skiing.
These people either abducted Maura at 7 at night, or, while they were looking for covered bridges on a relatively moonless night, saw and photographed something pertaining to Maura and her possibly non-existent life insurance policy and/or chemical used to treat public drinking water.
Did I miss anything in this theory?
Yesterday, "claysoup" demanded...
"Please list what elements comprise a useful working theory and describe how to assemble them. Please provide an example of what a good theory looks like and why it’s a good theory. Do you have a theory or a partial theory of your own? If so, what is it? If you have no theory, why not? If you find the tone or intention of discussion on a public, unmoderated board unacceptable, then exactly what contribution are you willing to make to improve the discussion? Thank you very much."
You see that I did that above, at length and in detail. Claysoup now ignores that post and proceeds with the "Closer" rant, the covered bridges non-theory, the drinking-water chemicals non-theory. Claysoup, you are revealing more than you may intend.
You know it was a woman who shot and murdered Tom Conrad right! I feel this woman had military training but I don't believe it was a woman from from Mass. but it could BE!
In 2004 there were many terrible things that were going down in Haverhill N.H.
I believe a criminal element took over the area then or triied to, the crime continued from late 2003 and continued untill 2007 and then the criminals went into hiding because we were close to a few arrests but just because the crime has slowed down because they are scared doesn't mean we have forgotten who they are!
There is well documented evidence pointing to the crooks and when the time is right they will be arrested!
Have you been out to Conrad's house?
