I attempted to gather the facts, Weeper's posts, etc, and list them on my blog a few months ago when I became very discouraged by this topix forum. I was having a difficult time with the fact that people actually believe Maura may have run away (started a new life) or a crime was not committed. I made several calls back home. Everyone, NH property owners and tax payers, I spoke to believes Maura met with foul play in the vicinity of where her vehicle was found and that her disappearance is a terrible tragedy. Much to my relief, I left my blog as written.

In case you don't know, you can navigate your way there by clicking your mouse on the arrow in the jump-to-page window and slide the bar on the drop-down menu up and click on p. 25, repeat and click on p. 50, repeat and click on 59, then scroll to msg 1200, and you're there. A PCP might not be aware of someone's treatment by a psychiatrist and if the person doesn't disclose, it would stay a secret. It could also have come upon her when she was at West Point and maybe she was required to leave, rather than voluntarily left? the problem with this theory is Maura didn't have any mental disabilities. crying is a normal emotion when something is bothering you.

Firecat,
I recall Weeper mentioning he believed the damage to Maura's vehicle possibly occurred 1-3 miles from the Weathered Barn, the Saturn's final resting place.
I'll have to dig through the posts and pull it up for confirmation though.

Citigirl, While you are here. Wasn't there a dicussion of Maura's sister possibly being deployed overseas? This makes a lot of sense to me. Re: Maura crying and saying "My sister, my sister".

Weeper wrote: This information has been posted so I’m not telling you anything your own research would not have revealed. This information is only part of the reason I/we place Maura’s disappearance somewhere within 1-3 miles of where the Saturn came to rest. Again, keep in mind this is only “circumstantial evidence” as are all eye-witness accounts. In my many years experience (statistically speaking) there are more convictions based on circumstantial evidence than on “physical evidence”. Long post but I feel this will help you in your scenarios and theories. Respectfully Weeper post #4033

Anne wrote: Scooter, I'm glad you found us all. I believe the 75000 reward was a 6 month temporary reward provided by an outfit that then switches the dollars to another missing person from the thousands. I believe there is still a 40000 reward. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks Anne, nice to be back. Yes, I believe you're correct. That does ring a familiar bell.

Hello all,
I am wondering about Saturn's gas tank. Some are saying it was full when found, correct me if that is not correct. Assuming it is, she could not have driven two-three hours and still had a full tank left. Therefore , either she or someone filled up tank at some point on route or it was towed. Any thoughts about it?

Any thoughts about it? Glad you brought this up. Such an important point - it's crossed my mind. Previously touched on the idea by suggesting the unlikely possibility of a rest stop abduction; perhaps even a populated one with full service. Seems to go hand in hand with being able to verify the last place Maura was seen, as mentioned several times by a poster.

I was just looking at the Weathered Barn area on Google Satellite and it looks like they've upgraded the MA/NH/VT area to a higher resolution because a lot of the blurring is gone.

To me, that seems to indicate that the Weathered Barn was not a specifically chosen drop-off point. Why fill up the tank just before if it was? I would think she intended to go much further, and a real accident occured at the Weathered Barn. Doubtful the major damage occured there though -- unless other vehicle was involved.
