Bottom line is that Maura met with disaster nearby Woodsville. Many good points, but Saturn may have been towed. And someone known to her had the ready means to tow the Saturn.

Also we have no 5th ammendment, if we have knowledge and withold it we are found in contempt of court, except you do not have to testify re:spouse.
A public enquiry is similar to a grand jury investigation. A grand jury could be called in Maura's disappearance but the burden of proof still might not lead to a conviction, and as you know the double jeopardy system in murder trials demands that you have all your ducks in a row.
It is not important that we the forum members know who committed this infatima, only that we lobby for justice, it is the job of law enforcement to fill in the dots and for those powers that be to provide the resources needed to solve this mystery.
That is not to say our purpose is unimportant, it is, because without a forum of somekind and the help of the PI's and many minds and hearts, and especially Fred, Maura would have been forgotten like so many missing and murdered individuals.
So your voice and concerned is needed and appreciated. In Massachusetts, a grand jury may consist of only one person, usually a judge. Testimony and proceedings remain confidential. The very existence of the grand jury may be not be publicly known.

Any guesses as to who this may be? If she was murdered, the official suspect's identity was or will be chosen by the person ultimately responsible for the crime. A wealthy person outside LE, but someone with lots of, shall we say, influence.

If the car was driven there, then the majority of the damage must have occurred nearby. Otherwise, the car would have been pulled over somewhere between Amherst and Wells River vicinities.

Do you know these people? In this nutty internet age, I frankly find it hard to believe that any police officer, especially a detective, would put a photo of any family member on the internet. Anything's possible, but dropping such a "fact" raises some questions. Or maybe it answers some. Statements like this appear designed for a specific purpose, and it seems to place the epicenter of investigative activity in the Amherst/Pioneer Valley area. If such photos exist, they should not be mentioned on this board and they should be taken down immediately. Get my point?
