Shack wrote: All I can say is what I have said from the beginning...the damage to the Saturn didn't occur 100+ miles prior to Route 112, off of 302/10 in Woodsville, NH Maybe it happened somewhere between Exit at PnH Truck Stop at Wells River, VT. State or Town LEs would have, or should have noticed.....this headlight damage......OR as the Saturn's hood didn't look latched....it would/could have flown up at highway speed of 60 - 70 mph......(Been there...done that) don't know at 25 - 30 mph. Bottom line is that Maura met with disaster nearby Woodsville. Many good points, but Saturn may have been towed. And someone known to her had the ready means to tow the Saturn.

peripeteia Nova Scotia wrote: <quoted text> Not a clue doublehorse, if I knew I'd be outside the District Attorneys' or Attorney Generals' petitioning for a grand jury, but I do not have one inkling whom it may be, just as well. But someone took Maura's life for no other reason than they could and did. Over the past 7 years I have devoted one hour a day to looking and lobbying for justice for missing persons, even when I do not have access to a computer I spend time composing scenarios in Microsoft word. I have seen numerous cases where it is known who the perpetrator is but there is insufficent evidence to bring them to trial, i.e. Adam Walsh, although very early on, Ottis was named as a person of interest there was never any evidence to prove he committed the crime. The problem of proof. In Canada we have a system of public enquiry, which gives powers to law enforcement not available under the normal confines of the law. To we have no rights to privacy such as you have in the states which more often than not protect people who should be exposed. Also we have no 5th ammendment, if we have knowledge and withold it we are found in contempt of court, except you do not have to testify re:spouse. A public enquiry is similar to a grand jury investigation. A grand jury could be called in Maura's disappearance but the burden of proof still might not lead to a conviction, and as you know the double jeopardy system in murder trials demands that you have all your ducks in a row. It is not important that we the forum members know who committed this infatima, only that we lobby for justice, it is the job of law enforcement to fill in the dots and for those powers that be to provide the resources needed to solve this mystery. That is not to say our purpose is unimportant, it is, because without a forum of somekind and the help of the PI's and many minds and hearts, and especially Fred, Maura would have been forgotten like so many missing and murdered individuals. So your voice and concerned is needed and appreciated. In Massachusetts, a grand jury may consist of only one person, usually a judge. Testimony and proceedings remain confidential. The very existence of the grand jury may be not be publicly known.

doublehorse wrote: Thanks for the response! If a suspect has been identified, I hope they are able to put together a case and arrest him soon. Any guesses as to who this may be? If she was murdered, the official suspect's identity was or will be chosen by the person ultimately responsible for the crime. A wealthy person outside LE, but someone with lots of, shall we say, influence.

Anyway, I meant to say that the answers are here where the Saturn ended up..just my opinion. I think that where the Saturn ended up probably is quite important. If the car was driven there, then the majority of the damage must have occurred nearby. Otherwise, the car would have been pulled over somewhere between Amherst and Wells River vicinities.

Sometimes the perp goes so far as to frame an innocent person. And then LE has the nerve to blame TV shows for copycat style crimes. Imagine that, crime on TV inspiring real life crime.

peripeteia Nova Scotia wrote: Interesting you state you are from South Deerfield. I found that the Dectective at the University of Mass is from South Deerfield? Curious, he has a son, actually saw pictures of both on the internet tonight, blog from Amherst. Do you know these people? In this nutty internet age, I frankly find it hard to believe that any police officer, especially a detective, would put a photo of any family member on the internet. Anything's possible, but dropping such a "fact" raises some questions. Or maybe it answers some. Statements like this appear designed for a specific purpose, and it seems to place the epicenter of investigative activity in the Amherst/Pioneer Valley area. If such photos exist, they should not be mentioned on this board and they should be taken down immediately. Get my point?

Just curious... How do those wrestlers, like on TNA, get such big muscles?
IIRC, TNA was purchased by Dixie Carter, of what was once Panda Holdings. Funny, a company by the same name was based in Brattleboro. Imagine that! Just a little north of exit 3.
Any why the email from Christina Lee while on this Brattleboro property?

What's really intersting is that next to no one from the Amherst area posts on this thread. Why is that? There is ample interst from across the U.S., and even some in Canada and Europe. But almost none in the Amherst area. How come?
