Agreed Elsewhere! It is so unproductive!

Judged: 4 1 1 Where did Weeper say "nothing further can be done to assist in this investigation with the exception of aiding in organized search and recovery efforts for Maura next spring or summer?" Why is he meeting with the public at Dunkin' Donuts in Woodsville? |

Jerk? And a twisted little freak for pointing out the potential monetary exploitation that either will occur or has already started? The Amherst and Northampton area is full of real writers, legitimate aspiring writers, and wannabe writers. If a local resident and PLO sympathizer will fund David Ray Griffin so that he, a grandfatherly religious professor, would spout nonsense about the 9/11 attack, then what do you think will happen in the Murray case? |

Judged: 1 1 1 Jeff ~ This has been a head-swiveling experience just to observe, much less in which to participate. It has been difficult and frustrating to follow posts, and the situation may be much improved by the newly established forum....cleaner, searchable and more organized. The volatile relationships, allegiances, and disharmony are probably to be expected given the unusual purpose of an unofficial "investigation"/conv ersation/discussion. I appreciate the contributions and hard work of so many posters who are actively and tirelessly thinking this through...24/7. If, indeed, you are "Alden" - one person with many names - I still regard your work with great respect. I suppose it must be difficult to put down a complete theory...connecting all the dots...as that information is above the heads of some, will be rejected by many, and may be viewed as irrational by still others. I suspect your theories are based in fact, and are not just illusions and fantasies. There is always a tendency here to shoot the messengers...no one has been immune from the giving or the taking of insults and disbelieving. Oh, well. |
Judged: 1 1 1 Jerk? For making it (painfully) crystal clear how often threads like this and internet discussion boards in general are routinely flooded by posts from one or a small number of persons using several or many usernames? |
|
Judged: 6 5 4 Jerk? For effectively, if unconventionally challenging the veracity of the so-called facts in this case, mostly as presented on the old MMM site? Many of which are now known to be either false or problematic. |
|
Judged: 4 3 2 Jerk? For spending hundreds of hours tracing, in person, Maura's many possible paths away from Amherst? Jerk? For spending five months getting close to someone I believe played an integral role in a related abduction? Jerk? For spending hundreds of hours watching the people and traffic patterns at dozens of intersections, restaurants, rest areas, parking lots, gas stations, etc.,etc.? Jerk? For rattling every cage I could find for answers? Jerk? For spending 30 days in a homeless shelter so I could get some information from someone? Jerk? For intentionally making myself a real live target, with the assistance of this thread, so that I might draw out a useful response or two? Jerk? For researching thousands of pages of public documents? No doubt you'll try to twist this to make it sound like I'm tooting my own horn. Nothing, repeat nothing, could be further from the truth. If I could remain totally invisible, I would. If I could, in good conscience, have dropped this task anywhere along the line, I probably would have. I'll be the first to admit I'm not very good at this investigative stuff and I certainly do not intend or want to displace or disrespect responsible, honest investigation. Have I made mistakes? You bet. Do I have a right to find justice in this case and others? You bet. If all I am is a jerk seeking justice, then I'll take that mantle any day. |

Judged: 4 2 2 Alden, You were obviously caught up in your own incessant posts under aliases such as Sugar, Miss Flo, Jerk, and Jackass to take note of when pertinent information pertaining to MAURA'S INVESTIGATION is posted. Don't forget you were also served a restraining order for trespassing on campus grounds as U-Mass Amherst. |
Judged: 3 1 1 Thanks for your kind words. You're right about connecting the dots. This thread is an inappropriate venue for that. Maybe I'm a bull in china shop sometimes - and for that, I genuinely apologize - but I do honestly try to do the best I can. Thanks again. |

"...a restraining order for trespassing?" Ask any attorney, or even a police officer, about this phrase and let us know the answer. |

Judged: 2 1 1 I'll add that I'm not placating you. The criticism has been very harsh, and often undeserved, IMHO. In your honesty, you related that you were served with a restraining order...which, in my mind, would speak to the situation at UMASS as it relates to Maura before reflecting directly on you. You've uncovered extensive detail that certainly may tie together at the Amherst end....and you may even be at risk for doing so. Obviously, your heart is in this, presumably for the right reasons. The content of a few posts were questionable...and apparently deleted. The internet is a bizarre medium, isn't it? The dynamics inside a room full of human beings might be a totally different experience...and more positive. |

Judged: 2 2 2 Perhaps he did. Perhaps he followed leads back to the UMASS community or to various individuals there. The line about "Who is Karma?" was at least comic relief in an otherwise morbid endeavor. Everyone has their own style of relating. I am certain Jeff/et al is equally frustrated in the way he is received....and perhaps the way he has been forced to represent himself in order to be heard and not dismissed. |
Restraiing Orders are issued against a person at the request only of that person's immediate family, domestic partners, or former domestic partners. Restrining Orders generally restrict contact between or among two or more specified people.
No Trespassing Orders apply to real property - mainly land and buildings. Both orders are as often retaliatory as they are legitimately defensive. |

Judged: 1 1 1 No one would deny that Maura Murray's family and friends are not victims. Their pain is impossible to really appreciate. But they are not the only victims. The chief victim has and must continue to be the state - meaning the public. By seeking justice in a murder case, if that's what this is, the state is not seeking to right a wrong. It's too late for that. The state must remain impartial about the personal pain of those close to a crime victim. Yes, official victims' advocates play an important role and were wrongly not included in the progression of justice relating to a crime. But the chief concern is deterence, the chief hope is for a fairer and more peaceful world. Just because one seeks answers in this case (and maybe other cases) does not mean that the victim's family are his chief or only constituent. He may have other very legitimate reasons of his own, ones that do not conflict with honest justice honestly pursued by the state, or hoped for by the victim's family and friends. |
|
Sorry. Meant to say that no one would deny that Maura's family and friends ARE victims. IOW, yes, they are victims and their pain is obviously too deep for almost anyone else to really appreciate. Again, sorry if that wasn't clear. |
