Maura was taking either course 398 F or 326 parent/child which are both clinicals
*health and car insurance which is required by the University and operators of vehicles is
mandatory, therefore, student nurses would be covered if they got in an accident or injured on route, and or while at clincials
This informaiton can be found on the University Mass Site, Nursing, the url is too long to copy here on one line. I have just spent the last 3 hours researching insurance and academic, moral, behavioral, academic requirements for this school
this information should solve the discussion on whether the University would send someone a great distance, a $1,400 per annum cost per year says that the students go far afield.
One begins to get a glimpse of how tired and stressed Maura might have felt due to the arduous demands of a nursing programme. Also, passing acedemically does not get you a degree in Nursing, one must pass all the clinicals, much of which has nothing to do with marks, but personality, behavior, performance and alibilty to follow the codes and policies of the hospital as well as the codes and standards set by Nursing i.e confidentiality.
As previously mentioned most of the nursing students in my class did not fail exams, even though the grade was 75, a B, but rather failed to meet the clincial standards.
