Well, how are we to find out WHO this person is. Would you give us a name? PM on advocate's site!!
Providing a name is against the rules. But anyone with real interest in finding out what happened to Maura Murray can easily discover a number of key people in the Amherst area (and elsewhere) who realistically might help move this case forward. But there is apparently no one sufficiently interested.

I would suggest that much of what was written on the old MMM board reflected a strong to extreme pro-life bias and agenda.

It has been stated on more than one occassion on this forum that Fred says Maura expressed to him a fear for her safety. Reasons for this fear have only been speculated.
Really, why would LE still claim that Maura ran away if Fred told them she had expressed to him that she feared for her safety? Can you show me where Fred stated this because it has not been in any of the articles that I have read.

Come now - your an educated person with a profession. What does DSM say about anyone that believes that several random and disbursed people all coincidentally just happen to "DESIRE A CONCLUSION" that will materially impact the subjects life?
Here's my original point:

IF someone has carefully followed each and every one of "Alden's" leads...and is satisfied that those leads, individually or collectively, do not have any relevance to Maura's disappearance, then the theory may be deemed invalid, at least by way of the investigation of that one person.

One would then look for other reasons to explain why such a theory was formulated at all. Bias/ agenda or other factors may reasonably be considered.

Logical. Excluded from the DSM.

I, too, have missed that point on this forum...but it would be a highly plausible explanation, though still speculative, for her multiple accidents....and fits with the phone call that triggered an intended trip.

* 12:55 PM - Maura calls for information about a condominium in Bartlett, New Hampshire that her family is familiar with. The call lasts for three minutes. No condominium is rented.
* 1:00 PM - Maura sends her boyfriend an e-mail, briefly stating she hasn't felt like talking to anyone, but that she will call him later in the day.
* 1:13 PM - Maura calls another student and leaves a voicemail. No significant information.
* 2:05 PM - Maura calls 800-GOSTOWE for approximately 5 minutes. Later research shows this number was out of order on this day and that only recordings were available for listening.
* 2:18 PM - Maura calls her boyfriend for approximately 1 minute.
* 4:00 PM or earlier - Maura e-mails one of her bosses and some of her teachers to inform them that there has been a death in her family and that she would be out of town for several days. There is no death in her family.
* 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM - A dorm mate reportedly sees Maura leave the UMass Amherst campus.
this is from same article you cited above. Note she called a friend and leaves a voice mail on Monday.

Senior Assistant Attorney General Jeffery Strelzin says the case is still open and active.

"There’s been a lot of activity behind the scenes and the state police have put in hundreds of hundreds, if not thousands, of hours on the case, but unfortunately we don’t have the answers yet," said Strelzin.

Wow, don't have the answers yet, but it had been previously stated that they were 75% sure that the case would be solved. How many years ago was that? Perhaps they should do themselves a favor and hand over the information the family needs to continue with their own investigation since LE " don't have the answers yet"

Hey all. I'm here. I have been in meetings. KISW and KISM did not air the story about Maura.......... tbd on a future date. We had a freak snow/ice storm and it shut down the city. They even closed 520 the floating bridge - that goes straight to the microsoft campus.......... I am not done fighting this fight and I vow to get exposure.

May the Murrays find closure this must be a very hard day. My thoughts and prayesr ( yes BF) are with them.

I'm sorry, but I cannot locate the article, etc., and that is why I stated it in the manner I did. I don't want to perpetuate lies and confusion, that is in no way my intention, but I know that it has been stated on this forum in more than one occassion that Maura expressed concern for her safety to Fred. I don't know if it is true. Perhaps the person or persons who stated it will verify it in due time and make any necessary clarifications.

That being said there are many reasons why LE may still consider this a runaway case, and they may or may not believe the things Fred told them.

Check out Newsweek Jan 19th - There is a eye opening article about selling organs/eggs etc. The only country its legal is Iran. They even have a case from Cedar San?? the one in LA. This has happened in DC, New York and CA - documented cases.

However, I do NOT think this happened to Maura. They go through tons of test.

And I am sorry too because until I see this statement in an article I can not use it to draw any conclusions. If this turns out to be true, then many people on this forum will surely be surprised and consider it new information.

this is interesting:
Rausch and his father were told that Murray might have been at a McDonald's in St. Johnsbury, Vt.

I found it here:
http://www.zoominfo.com/people/Murray_Frederi...

Don't know if it's reliable, but you can take it for what it's worth to ya.

"I think she accepted a ride at the scene of the accident, which would enable her to get closer to public transportation, and she got out by bus," Fred Murray said.

Note: I'm under the impression that this was said just a little less than 5 years ago. I don't want to take it out of context, but interesting anyways.

There are several houses along that stretch of the otherwise lonely road that Murray could have gone to for help, Scarinza said.

Her father, Frederick Murray, believes his daughter was given a ride from a person who won't come forward since he helped her leave the scene of an accident, or a person who gave her a ride and then abducted her.

Sara, that's fine. I'm not sure that any conclusions can be drawn anyway. I'm just providing information that I've read here or elsewhere that is relevant to the current discussion. It was said here on this forum. Period. But you and everyone else is entitled to believe whatever you want. I appreciate your objectivity and I think it's wise that you don't take anything at face value.

Of course conclusions will be drawn from your earlier statement, are you kidding? Don't you see all the directions that conversations take on this forum? People take speculation for fact. Heck, they don't even need speculation.

You say: "I'm just providing information that I've read here or elsewhere..." and, then

You say: "It was said here on this forum. Period."

So, which is it? The reference to Maura Murray's father making such a statement.....was it here on Topix --- or was it elsewhere? <;o)

I have spent 3 1/2 years on Maura Murray's disappearance and this is the ONLY reference I've seen to such a statement, anywhere. At any time. Period.

Today is the 5 year anniversary of Ms. Murray's disappearance. Here's hoping that some are reading that have information to lead to answers.

Five years has been a long time. People know. Please do the right thing.
