Yeah. This is like big a crazy family from Mars that likes to knock each other's heads when we get tired or bored of knocking our heads against the walls and we're too stupid to stop and not smart enough to figure out that we can't solve this case without more information that nobody is going to give us.
Mason, do you think it's too late? Do you think John's already drunk the Kool-Aid and will soon be like us?

HA! Good stuff! I immediately got the reference. I went to Boston University and was raised in Philly. I used to pick up 1010 back in the 80s sometimes when I drove back and forth. I remember that slogan and reading it mimicked in your post took me back like 20 years, which is wierd, because if any one factor really drew me into this case, it is my affection for the white mountains and particularly that area, developed while in college at BU.
Oh my god, that means you know the Chicken Man song too!!!

Not if it was parked out front instead of way off in Lot 12. UMass PD, who authorize towing, might make an informal exception for someone they know.

"Hey, can I take your car for a minute? I'll be right back."

"Sure, no problem."

You might ask Richard who used to visit across the street from Kennedy.

Yeah, I see the signs -- sigh.

He's terminal.

Well, given that this dude taught at the law school I graduated from, I may have drunk the kool aid.

Is this a reference to Condon Hall? If so, odd, like your reference to Arlandria, both specific and vague at the same time.

Because that song, like Chicken Man himself, was EVERYWHERE. I think it's some radio thing. I'm not really sure though. It's just burned into the psyche of everyone who grew up in that area during that time period.

I was not a faculty member but I did give some lectures on the causes of wrongful convictions and I debated the propriety of the death penalty with a prosecutor a couple of times. I also did some workshops with student members of IPNW. I think I also spoke at some CLEs there.

No, he's referring to Kennedy Hall at UMass. It's one of the dorms in the SW cluster of dorms. Maura was a resident there.
