Hello just me---Paris,
Thanks for going to the trouble of posting the article on Maura. The first part of it, I had never seen before, and was again struck by the emphasis put on Maura´s reticence as regards keeping her innermost feelings and thoughts for herself. She is, quite clearly, a very private person, which for obvious reasons make it so much harder for us to make some headway on her case here and probably also for LE, other investigators, etc. Another thing: Did any of you check out the link to the site www.briansprediction.com which Shack recently posted. Thoughts, ideas??? Also: Great to see so many of the well-known names from the old MMM Forum posting here. The more people, the more input, the more ideas freely and openly discussed - that´s the way forward! Thanks! |
Eurobserver,
I came across brianspredictions early on and there was actually a bit more than what is currently posted as public, very detailed sketches. The pages I am referencing had somehow been hijacked/removed and I recall Brian asking for them to be returned. Firecat, Yes, Maura and I are the same height and weight. I've also worn my hair like hers for decades. I try to keep in worn down when I am alone out in public. Women who wear their hair tied back are easier targets for sexual predators. |

Oh wow, it was all there, I am so glad for that. I thought I'd never find that one again, lol. Thank you everyone for all the good words. |

Are there any posters who know of any liquor stores between SW and the Coolidge Bridge?
Any posters who have lived in the Amherst/Northampton area? |
|
Does anyone know whether Maura bought the liquor at Liquors 44 in the Campus Plaza in Hadley? If so, this would indicate that she was headed west on Rt. 9 (Russell St.).
|
|
What person or office at UMass would be responsible for calling a tow truck company for illegally parked cars on campus?
|
|
Has anyone searched the sand pit off Damon Rd in Northampton? Or the area around Elwell Island on the west side of the Connecticut River? Just a thought.

At what dorm was Maura working Thursday night?

Melvill Dorm Maura lived in the high-rise Kennedy Dorm (top) and worked campus security in Melville dormitory, both in the southwest area of UMass-Amherst |

As she promised her father, Maura obtained accident forms before leaving town; the forms were later found in her vehicle. Maura may have stopped at the Registry of Motor Vehicles on Route 9 in neighboring Hadley or she could have downloaded them from the Registry website |

sorry not very good on copy and paste which these comments posted are.

My guess on that would be the office of public safety, as it is at most colleges. Unless, since it's a big enough school, it has its own parking sub-department. But then it's still probably OPS. |
|
A quick trip to the web site informs us that this is actually handled by (wait for it here)....PARKNIG SERVICES.

"Parknig" services? Nice typo there, Professor Moron.....
|
|
Thanks, firecat. Would Maura's security job have been with the Office of Public Safety, or whatever the UMass equivalent is? UMass is less than a half hour south of where I live, so when I'm feeling flush (gas=$4.30/gal), I'll check it out. |
|
gvmeabrk, thanks. Like I told firecat in previous post, when I'm flush, I'll check it out myself, but I can promise that it's very easy to drive from Melville or anywhere in SW up to Chestnut, down Mattoon, down Triangle, even with a red light at E. and N. Pleasant Streets, to get back to any SW dorm in under 20 minutes. So the claim about 20 minutes is almost certainly not true. I'll do it myself within the next couple of weeks and let everyone know the time. I've personally driven those streets hundreds of times over the past 30+ years, so I feel pretty confident that 20 minutes is plenty of time to run that route even with a stop. |

Hello all,
A few days ago I mentioned the need for a picture of Maura being posted on her Wikipedia Web page. With the risk of repeating myself I would like to bring this point up once again. I really do believe that it would be enormously helpful and important to post a photo of Maura on her Wikipedia page. So very many people are accessing those pages every day! Any computer wizards onboard who may be able to help out??? Many thanks! |
So... you're going transparent, too? lol!!! I remember a Judge surnamed Wrong, and a Catholic Cardinal named Sin (St. Louis, I think).[Joke, just a joke.] |
