Where is MAURA MURRAY

Two people saw Maura on Feb 09, 2004 at least allegedly, one of these people is in Amherst,
presumably they attended the U of Mass, as reported by the (now) editor of the Boston Glode,
Brian McGowen (m.s.). However all the claims of people searching in Amherst of what happened to Maura have failed to clarify this ONE thing. Odd.
It is believe Maura was seen about 3:30.

It is unknown the exact time this person saw Maura, there was some allegation from a male of
having seen Maura with a duffle bag full of Beer.
Mr. McGowan has failed to respond to 2 emails regarding this alleged siting.

No one to my knowledge is has ever said the NHSP have no information, this is just another attempt on your part to twist and turn information. I have contended that the police know plenty, and you imply the same even knowing information that could only have been leaked, check your previous post, and please post information where posters of long standing have stated that the police have no information.

Law enforcement would not have wasted a time of their resources if they believed Maura ran away to start a new life. If they believe Maura was abducted the FBI would have been called it.

I personally believe that LE has a suspect in view/mind but lack enough evidence for an arrest and conviction. LE are not fools, nor incline to waste monies or resources, they are too smart for that and resources are too scarce.

From what I can read between the lines about what you stated about Fred asking you to post your information; have you considered that perhaps Fred did not want to believe that Maura is no longer with us anymore?

I do not know Fred, nor Laurie, but I can well imagaine that they wanted to hang onto ever last shred of information that would say Maura was/is alive. This is not uncommon a factor in missing person cases, it is human nature. There likely was no malice of forethought on Fred's part, nor an attempt to use you, simply a desire to believe his daughter was still alive.

I know enough about Fred from members of the family that once posted here, and on other Forums
that he is an honorable person, who sincerely loves Maura, and he has spent the last five years of his life in hell on earth searching for Maura.

If Fred did imply something negative about the forums presumably he was reacting to the like of the *&^% that is often posted here. Not to those persons with sincerity of heart searching for Maura in earnest.

You did the right thing, no one faults you for this, it is to be commended that you came forth.
However at this point in time it is known Maura is most likely not alive, as stated by Weeper, and LE has checked out all sighting of Maura, as they said so.

On the MMM forum, for 2 years I skirted around trying not to come right out and say Maura was not living any longer, and finally when I did, I took some flack, however over time this changed as the evidence only points in one direction.

No one faults you at all, however as much as I would like to believe that Maura is still alive,
there is no indication that she is but rather she came to harm by a predator, whether this predator was known to her or not, it is beyond me to speculate that far.

Exactly what Weeper investigated you will have to ask him personally. You can send him a pm, or email, re: on MMM forum and advocates forum. I have often send him questions, some he didn't answer because they are evidentiary, and I have always known when I would not get an answer, when I asked stupid questions or questions I should not have been asking, re: violation of secrecy. But by and large he will answer questions.

Peri - I personally believe that police and P.I.'s are neither infallible or bumblers. Is that not a more realistic position rather then picking either of the extremes?

I believe the alleged bag of beer sighting was Sunday, Peri. White Wash can confirm, since she wrote the article it appeared in. I'm sure she still has her notes.

Sorry, I need one more post to clarify one point.

I do believe Mr. Murray is an honorable man. He has gone all out to find Maura and I see his heartbreak in the pictures. I have never questioned his motives.

If you let us know where this info came from re: the calls? That would help and we could try to help. Not sure how the calls could be traced to the Bish foundation - unless it is a LD call - it would be on the bill or a wireless. If it is a local call - that would need to be done through the phone co - getting info from the CO at each location

Any update from the police?

Where did you get the idea that this is my website? I don't even know how to make and put up a website. This URL was emailed to me by a Hanson friend who is much closer to Maura than I am, someone who Maura would confide in if she was going to confide in anyone. When I got her email I decided to put the link on Topix.
I knew about the new boyfriend Christmas-New Years December 2003-January 2004. Maura told me that she could not face telling Billy and Billy's Mom and that her father could never find out. End of my story. That's all that I know, the rest I read on the website the day before I posted it here. I'm just glad that she's alive.
