Hard to say. If the person(s) responsible for Maura's disappearance are the one(s) responsible for the vandalism in my backyard, then I thought they are more likely to be relatively local than from Haverhill, especially since I haven't exactly been pointing fingers at anyone in Haverhill.

I feel like I've narrowed down the field of candidates considerably if - and it's a very big if - the Saturn hit Vasi. There is no proof Vasi was hit by the Saturn, but there is a small and still respectable amount of circumstantial evidence to support it.

And why has it been believed for so long that Maura could not have driven to the Vasi site and back in 20 minutes when it's obvious that the distance can practically be walked in 20 minutes?

There must be someone else from the Pioneer Valley who has posted on the XM site or on this one who could have pointed that out by now?

I, too, wondered what happened to Oh My. Maybe s/he got his/her point across or won the lottery or something?

Or somebody sued the daylights out of her/him.

I sent the whole post to Petrit and this was all he had to say for now. I don't want to press him, he's been so good with all this. Maybe he will write more about the details....was he going to his dorm, etc.
But you know I was just reading again how these security people operate. They have their post, they do not leave....I think they can only recieve incoming calls and wondered if maybe they wear walky talky's, I have no idea. But still, someone is above them as well and checks on them every half hour. I don't wonder if Maura went out to her car for something while she was working her shift and people, other students, have to be "keyed in and out". You can't have a broken down looking car sitting there on campus, Maura just didn't trust it for whatever reasons and didn't drive it "much". Someone might have noticed any new dents/gashes if the car really had hit something late night on the 5th. And so I think about the 6th and the 7th and the 8th. If someone tried to set her up, maybe nothing could happen until Fred left and that was on the 8th. Maura sits in her room looking things up, doing an email basically saying she doesn't want to talk to anyone but will call later on. She does call and says she wants to talk after all but then starts making the two calls. Then she goes to the store and to get her money. I think she went back to her dormroom though because didn't the reciept say 3:30? Either way she has her tasks done and presumably checks her messages from the car at 4:29 or so. Somebody saw her with a "bag" (not sure what that means), they said it was 4:15 or so that she headed out. Who was that person, could they be suspect? It doesn't make much sense to me that she would try and check her messages while she was driving away and the phone records are exact. Would she be at a stop nearby, because that person didn't say she sat in her car. Just thoughts.......

Now for that spider crack.....windshields have glass inside, a middle "barrier" and then the outer glass. So you see there are three "layers" to a windshield. The impact came from the inside to the shield. That middle part saves it from just crumbling all together like glass does. So whatever happened, was from inside I'm guessing.

That was said by me. My thinking was if it was really Maura or not. I still don't know, police said it was static and it was erased fairly soon after all, but Billy and Sharon insist. Hopefully you all saw the post about Maura not likely hiding out all night just to call Billy. I was thinking of other ways a call could be made with Maura on the other end since her phone was NEVER used again. If a perp had Maura, he'd have her stuff too, right? Open the phone, it says Billy or honey, whatever and the person makes the call to taunt Billy. Yes, it's sadistic but you never know. It's not like I really believed it. I just thought well, maybe Maura is crying, locked in a closet say and the person is letting the sounds be heard.

Except the call was not made from her cellphone. Which means that if there was a perp involved in any way in the call made to Billy, Maura would have had to tell Billy's number. That's not an impossible scenario, of course, but if the perp was pressuring her to give a telephone number of someone she was close to, I don't see Maura giving that up easily, and I think she would have given him some other number, not Billy's.

Also, I really just don't see a perp running the risk of making a call and allowing any kind of communication from the kidnap victim -- too much risk she might yell out "His name is Hinkelhemmel" (or something).

There is one possible exception. If Maura indeed was abducted, and was abducted by someone she KNEW, then possibly that person would go to the extreme of calling Billy and allowing sounds from Maura to go out over the phone. In this kind of case, this would be because the perp had a specific reason to "torture" Billy or Maura or both -- which would mean that the perp likely knew one or both of them.

I had no idea about the type of blood found in the closet at the A-Frame.

There was enough there for the carpet sample to be cut into two pieces. From a woman's perspective, whomever was on the floor of the closet was crouched there in the same position for quite some time.

I remember you made a statement on Maura's forum about sometimes info getting exaggerated by posters. I recall stating that half the women in NH reported being sexually assaulted in their lifetime. It's actually physical and sexual assault.

Whiston, Not knowing the specific circumstances, it's hard to tell why LE sought a search warrant. It's a good question, but I'm not sure what difference it makes anyway.

LE often seeks search warrants just to be on the safe side. They never really know what will be found in a car left on the side of the road. Suppose evidence of a crime, such as illegal distribution of drugs is found? Or something else? A search warrent may be excessive in many cases, but it eliminates any issues raised later by a defense attorney about a warrantless search. Better safe than sorry.

Questions like this should be answered by an attorney because there is always a chance that it signifies something. By this time, the warrant application should be available to the public. It is always possible to get an attorney to answer a few of these questions without cost. Would take only a few minutes.

Is there someone that is reading this post who lives in or near Haverhill/Grafton County who can simply go get a copy of the search warrant application and post it? Thanks.

No I lived on campus. Lived in Emerson Building in Southwest. I think I was walking that night. It was a snowy night. I hope everything that I have said comes handy.

Let me try this again:
A perp has locked someone in a closet where they whimper and moan. They have been in there for hours and know they can't get out, they are openly mourning.......
On the other side of the door the perp has all of the persons belongings. They've seen the name Billy or Honey and decide that's the boyfriend. They turn off the cell and go to a phone with the calling card, make the call and hold the phone up to the outer side of the closet door. The person inside would not know they were doing this or yes, they'd scream something if they could. Even A loose bandana gag would let out muffled sounds....

Again, I just thought this could be another way to explain the call and how it could even possibly be Maura if Billy and Sharon believed it as such.

Hello all,

This may not mean anything, but having read Mr Vasi´s communication with Paris (post # 1995)I had a quick look at the UMass Amherst campus map on the UMass web site.
It seems that the Emerson Building is located practically next door to the Kennedy Building (Maura´s dorm) and the Melville Building (where Maura worked her security desk job).

This geographical proximity may be pure coincidence, but it none the less left me thinking.
