Thanks Whiston. I'll check that article. For several years I've been looking for an article (not the one Paris/Just Me was nice enough to post here a while back) that began the story with how a friend of Maura's called to apologize to Maura's family for having been quoted "all wrong" in terms of saying how secretive and mysterious Maura was. The girlfriend was really broken up about how what she said came across. Anyway, maybe yours is the one! Merci.hi quija the article you are looking for was maybe written by Joe McGee .he was with the patriot ledger at the time .take care philip

Judged: 2 1. even tho i got obsessed with towing costs, I don't know if i really think towing occurred; i mean why was a girl IN the car then, behind (possibly) the airbags and having trouble getting out of the car because of the snowbank. Maybe someone can explain a towing scenario to me that has a person in the car being towed. 2. i reread the article about the barton, vt sighting at the church and it said that Mr. Stone didn't report it right away --- it wasn't until later (or "recently") when he saw her picture and realized it was Maura. I wonder what the date was that he reported the sighting? whiston, all your ideas and directions are powerful because they seem to stimulate us into doing research! |

Judged: 2 I don't believe that there is an insurance company in the country that will allow a towing company to transport a car with the occupants inside the car. Bill |

Judged: 3 There is no reason to believe that a tow truck, in the particular circumstance, would require a cash payment. Friend? Friend of a friend? I'm not saying this is true of UMass, but it's not unusual for a towing company to have a cozy relationship with the person who car provide them with the authorization for towing a vehicle. Been known to happen. |

"...cozy relationship with the person who CAN provide them with..." My typo.

Judged: 3 3 So possibly there's a connection between the Sinclairs and the ex-priest rapist who apparently relayed phone calls from the Worcester County House of Correction to the search and rescue team looking for Molly Bish. In other words, the person who owns the property from which the Sinclairs disappeared in 2001 has friends in common with the source of the books that were owned by the ex-priest rapist who himself was in direct phone contact with the people who were conducting a private search for Molly Bish in 2002 when her bathing suit was first discovered. These same people are also the source of the extensive library of art books (among other things) sold at the local auctions, including some that obviously came from local homes and/or galleries, including one very expensive "Savoy Ballroom" art series by Umass art professor Richard Yarde. It is abundantly obvious to me that some of the people interested in buying some of these items from me associated themselves, in a vigilante kind of way, with the disappearance of Maura Murray. The Brattleboro businessman was also an officer in a company CEO'd by a guy named A. Murray Sinclair. Well just more six degrees of separation, I guess. Reminds me of another six degrees. Bernard Barker knew Hugh Sloan who knew Maurice Stans who knew Richard Nixon. Oh, that's only four. I'm sure I can shoe-horn two others into this crazy conspiracy theory known as Watergate. |

This is what I see on Maura's site after the accident report: Links to pictures of damage to Maura's car taken in 2007: Highlighted cracks in windshield - cracks are from inside out http://www.mauramurraymissing.com/Documents.h... |
Sorry, quija nuts, I get what you're saying.(I'm not the source of the "nuts.") At the risk of being extremely, painfully irreverent, she sat in a Sat Urn? Ouch! I can feel the heat already. I mention it only to show that an eye should be kept out for a person who has a learing disability such as dylexia or dysgraphia or something like htat. |
|
Don't be envious. I have more than anybody and my collection is getting larger every day. |
|
Sorry, I don't get it. How did you conclude from looking at the photo(s) that the crack is the result of something having hit the windshield from the inside? |
|
Sorry if I'm being too personal here, but what is the connection, if any, between Paris and Just Me. Not trying to be nosey, just don't want to be redundant or needlessly offensive.
|
|
Just me is Paris. I thought she commented on that. I could be wrong.

Beaglebart, quija and all,
The Saturn could quite feasibly have been towed all the way from Amherst to Haverhill/Swiftwater with Maura (or someone looking like her) sitting in the cab of the tow-truck, as pointed out by Beagle. Then, somehow the Saturn gets "droppped" accidentally by the tow-truck (perhaps because of severe frost-heaves on the road) somewhere in the Haverhill/Swiftwater area, likely on the Rt 112. Possible result of this: The first reported "mystery" accident. For some reason Maura (or the Maura-look-alike) gets in the Saturn and keeps driving eastwards on the 112 in the direction of the Weathered Barn curve, which only is a few miles away from the likely first accident spot. At the Weathered Barn curve the lady driver of the Saturn quite possibly has a real accident, spins round and the Saturn ends up facing the wrong way on the 112. Perhaps the whole point of the exercise was to dump the Saturn somewhere further east along the 112 towards Lincoln in the midst of the National Park wilds. The "helper" in the towing-truck follows closely behind the Saturn and picks Maura/Maura look-alike up at the Saturn before CS arrives on the spot. Not an impossible scenario, IŽd say. By the way, does anybody know the condition of the SaturnŽs tyres? Were they very worn? Were they winter-tyres? Thanks! |

Hi, I've been reading all the new posts. Earlier Elsewhere was wondering about the crack, inside or out? I just went to her site and brought back the link to the page where it says the crack came from inside. This is what they have on their page and they keep their site updated, I'm sure. |
