Yaz. Yo. Hold up. Presumably, it was standard for her to wear and/or pack some? Could a member of her family identify that there was some missing? Because I confess that I've traveled places, opened up my suitcase, and forgotten some pretty interesting things. Was it ever established as likely there had been some? Some people don't, and she may have forgotten. But if it's MISSING-missing...... .....that just ain't right.

I think you'll like this article! Well Jerry when someone takes the time to meet with LE,family, neighbors, those on scene I guess you think you know something like there are photos no they where not released with the report.I have been assured by many on this forum I don't know anything so will take my lifted leg and leave you to those who have assured me I know nothing about this case and have nothing useful to add. http://ledger.southofboston.com/articles/2004... The accident couldn't have been that bad. One little nick on a tree is all that marks the scene other than the missing posters family and friends stapled up. Damage to the Saturn sedan was minimal, but Murray's head cracked the windshield. The front of the car was pushed in. Jerry Fletcher wrote: White Wash...…again, you seem to know a lot about what the police have ‘allegedly’ done in the Murray case. At some point you mentioned that the police took pictures of the car. Did you see those pictures? Were they released with the accident report? If they were released has anybody else seen them? I know there are pictures of the car that were posted on MMM, but IIRC those were taken later. If you saw the pictures, is the damage the same? If they were released, why didn’t the Hanson Express or those at MMM post the pictures? Does anybody know…Mcsmom? It seems that it would be important to verify that the damage recorded in photos that night (or perhaps the next day) was the same as the damage visible in the pictures taken at a later date. Does anybody know when those pictures were taken? I agree with the questions about the search warrant. Why did the police get a search warrant for the car? Does anybody know whether they followed through with the Umass parking authority about who the parking sticker was issued to that year?

Firecat, Yes, you are undeniably correct and it is something I've wondered about time and time again. There is most definately the possibility that Maura neglected to pack any underwear to begin with. It was a family member who brought up the subject of the items that were missing so this is why I've held on to the possibility that the underwear may have been amist her belongings and had possibly been removed. Shack, The watch her dad gave her? I had a bulky diving watch for years and I rarely ever removed it from my wrist. I'd be more apt to believe the watch may have caused the crack in the winshield rather than Maura's head. I'm not an expert accident reconstructionist thought and I'm sticking by his findings.

Jerry if you go to the Journal Opinion and view the Sept Search photos and then go to the Hanson Express you'll find the same Photo printed without the permission of the Journal Opinion now it's my turn to ask WHO IS WHITE WASHING WHOM on facts? Happy researching it's all out there for you to find and probably time better spent than slapping each other around!

Now THAT actually depends on who owns the copyright to those photos. If those photos weren't taken by the JO, they don't necessarily own them, and the Hanson Express doesn't need their permission to do bubkes. I can't believe with all the mishandled evidence, confusion, and a missing woman, you're focusing on what may or may not be a copyright issue. No, wait. Yes I can. Does the ownership of the photos have to do directly with the case; that is to say, will settling that help find Maura? If the answer is yes, then carry on. Otherwise, unless you're a lawyer for the JO, who cares?

White Wash wrote: Jprobably time better spent than slapping each other around! (So spaketh the proverbial pot.) Ok, I'm done with that now. Back to Maura. Elsewhere et al., I know that some of Maura's other belongings have been gone through and things declared missing from her closet (and I also remember a jacket that Kathleen thought she was wearing was later found to be among her things after all) Is there anyone who might be able to do this among her undergarments? I realize that's not necessarily as easy to do, since they're of a more intimate nature.....but for instance if someone regularly did laundry with or for her.....also difficult since they are often delicate by nature and have to get tossed and replaced more regularly than other items of clothing. Gosh, this is awkward to have to discuss. Forgive me. I'm trying to handle it delicately, folks.

Serious allegations, White Wash. I did see the pictures on the Hanson Express, but won’t be sending a check to the Journal Opinion so that I can view whatever may have appeared on there, so I guess your contention can’t be proven. Interesting, though, I didn’t see any yellow tape in any of the Hanson Express pictures. Was sure I had read that people were upset because the properties were taped off the day of the search. What is also interesting is that there appears to be snow on the ground in all but the picture of the general store and the A-frame which I don’t think anybody even knew about until after the search. Was there snow when they searched? Maybe your screen name is appropriate after all.

Hello all, Having been away for a few days, I was amazed to see copyright (!) discussions going on here. I fail to see how such things could be of any great importance compared to Maura´s disappearance. IMHO.

It's interesting that I questioned Jerry when he first came here - I'm VERY sorry, Jerry! Now Jerry, a brand-new poster with an apparently open mind, dares to question ANYTHING about the area and its LE, and has incurred WW's wrath. As FireCat says, scroll on by. EVERY time we start a serious and possibily productive discussion - including asking how LE would obtain a search warrant - this stuff happens. It is VERY telling indeed. Fascinating how Shack's mention of the news of 112 being closed rates "nuts" "incendiary" and "clueless."

I know sophie, its still on the news today...goodness WHY judge that?!? It goes to show you how useless the judging is, no basis to it, because it is carrying less and less credibility. SOB! scroll on by! LOL Now, if Bob would come open the bar, we'd be all set. It will give those who want to be malicious something to gossip about.
