3 Shown here, a lot of us answer each other's questions. Obviously Shack will have to speak for herself, but I do know that she has had a lot of computer issues in the past year, and isn't able to be online consistently when she wants. I think she might even have (gasp!) dial-up. I don't think it's necessarily Shack in particular, though. I know that when questions are directed at a specific person, if someone else knows the answer (because it's one of those sorts of questions that can sometimes be answered by someone else) they often chime in with a thought, as I'm doing here. If there's a SPECIFIC reason that Shack is consciously avoiding answering questions, of course, only s/he can tell us. If s/he so chooses, of course. No one is OBLIGATED To answer anything here. |

3 Yawn. SHACK has never accused anyone by name. Others have, but Shack hasn't been one of them. Also, for the nth time (and this is not specifically directed at you, but at anyone who feels that someone is libeling the good citizens of NH--as slander is verbal; only written material can be considered libelous) most of the aggravation and frustration expressed at NH residents HAS BEEN SPECIFICALLY ADDRESSED TO THAT SEGMENT OF THE POPULATION THAT DOES NOT CARE, THAT ACTIVELY DISCOURAGES, THAT REFUSES TO ADMIT THAT SOMETHING IS AMISS.(caps for emphasis, not for volume!) Since those of you from NH posting on this site ARE IN FACT posting on this site, these comments BY DEFINITION ARE NOT DIRECTED AT YOU. Nor are they directed at the general public. They are directed at the guilty. FYI, to be considered slanderous or libelous, for the most part, the accusations must be uttered/written WITH THE SPECIFIC INTENT TO HARM. Also, they usually must be untrue. Now, obviously different courts of law, different precedents, and different attorneys, will have varying takes on this. But if you're not saying it with the express purpose of harming someone's "good name" you will have a much harder time getting it ruled as libel or slander. Just sayin. |

2 Elsewhere was talking about people lurking so she started with two people who said they would rather lurk and then named another 'lurker' who has aliases and gives her the creeps. It was to be taken as an afterthought to the last lurker mentioned and not the first two. Shack doesn't need me to pipe in but I have to point out something she probably won't respond to and that's the way you worded something. Shack takes no pleasure in what she writes as a whole. Apart from joking, she's very serious and concerned about the things she sees around her. It's never "fun" for her "to add excitement and DRAMA", she has never done anything like that on purpose. I know her too well. Ok, I promise now to quit playing the harp and go to sleep like a good little girl......... |

1 I believe most people are good people. But there are rats everywhere. 1 rat in a big group doesn't make the group rats. In this case - we don't know for sure a rat is in NH - looks like their probably is - but there are other possibilities. I think that there are too many and we simply don't have enough information. So I wonder why the opposition by some to their exploration? Then I start to think of things that I'm not going to mention. Don't ask - because I'm short of believing and not productive if incorrect - and given how so many people have tried to solve this - any theory is likely incorrect. I do understand anger at overgeneralization that a group of people are somehow bad. But I don't understand opposition to possibilites based upon facts. I take the position that facts and possibilities within those facts should be explored. This mystery - in my mind - goes up with some of the most mysterious unsolved incidences in quite a long time. I've always thought that some of these mysteries (not in this case) could involve a locksmith. Last night I saw some show where a con man in LA would pose as a film executive looking for new James Bond movie girls - and set up a meeting and then commit horrible crimes. He was caught because other people remembered him doing that and the police followed up. We don't know if Maura was lured somewhere by someone she knew - promised something - and who knew her well enough to get a Maura look alike (this could explain car movement). We just don't have enough info. All we can do is try to imagine what could have happened - but that still doesn't mean that even if we figured it out - that we'd catch the perpetrator. |

Kind of makes me long for the ol' "Tea n Crumpets Forum", where folks didn't attack each others thoughts or words....where people concentrated on what happened to Maura. When I first met with Weeper, at the Wells River Motel, we had an intense conversation as to what was to follow. I found him as intense as I. I am glad he is still on Maura's side. The following is not any excuse for my "not answering questions"..however...and honestly, I really don't know what question(s) I didn't answer..lawdy, hope I have an answer. Briefly, my only beautiful little daughter (age 46...go ahead and laugh) was in the Cayman Islands during Gustav, Hanna...followed by Ike. I've been worried. I called Logan, she (and my dear son in law) are now safely back in MA.) Firecat, you were so right, in as much as my "dial-up" ..Had to stay off computer waiting for phone call...and also that I didn't/don't name people as Joe Blow is a meat head..dead from the neck up...I did say, in general, using Fred's words.. scum bag. dirt bag...but, I didn't say a name..cuz ..I didn't have a name...hello??? If we had a dirt/scum bag name..perhaps this Forum could/would be done and over.? Elsewhere/Paris/LG/Whiston..ju st thank you for being there...knowing..just plain ol' understanding ...we haven't communicated for awhile..but, nothing has changed. Paris, I did attempt 2 emails 8/24...but ..but...waah!! But, I am here for you. If there is any heart and soul left in the Haverhill area...please think about these simple words before you attack me.. Your child is missing...the words you hear are "some man is going around town being a PIA, looking for his daughter/child"... Please think about a household who calls the police because a man is trespassing, looking for his daughter/child. What..? Hello.? I guess, in essence, instead of squabbling with words, here on Topix, perhaps those who have access to the area will cooperate with Weeper and/or NHSP Criminal Investigators. But, ya know, with constant changes within and constant lateral moves of NHSP... Who is todays "Star of the Day" really taking responsibility of NH Crime Investigation. Maura didn't disappear within my Town. Who do you trust within your own Town..? Rhetorical...no answer required.. Ps someone asked accident/murder ...it was a woman, with child, auto accident.... sorry ..can't find now..need sleep..... |

1 I'm done posting on the forum but will own up to my errors/mistakes when they are presented by fellow posters. It has been a long time since I've looked at Silky's maps. I thought Heidi Dawn Wilber was from the Montpelier area. I guess it must be Heidi's friend who is from Montpelier. She wrote into Brianna's forum stating she still checks on the progress of Heidi's case from time to time. I believe Heidi was a ward of the state which makes her story even sadder. No family to squeek the wheel so to speak. I never read any of those awful things you are accusing Shack of saying about the locals. Often noted that the locals were quick to take Shack's comments out of context and deem them personal attacks. Again, Weeper recently stated that many locals have been very supportive and helpful to Maura and her family. Helena stated this as well just before shutting Maura's forum down once and for all. Fred also stated on 20/20 that the locals have been kind and helpful. |

1 maybe it's in there, I have to stop looking now. Was this the one where the aunt was going the wrong way, stopped her car.....took her twin sisters children out and they were all 3 killed crossing the road by two different cars? A time ago, I saw that, it was called murder/suicide. |

2 If you are talking about the women that was killed across the river in VT that was 9 months pregnant that was an automobile accident caused by a women that was not paying attention and should never have been driving that day. Chrissy was a friend of mine and she and her baby were buried together in the same coffin. Please do not add her to your list of sinister things that have happened in this area. She does not deserve that. |

1 Off Topic Post It’s true that Routes 91 and 89 go both ways but there are quite a few “rest-areas” along the way. Whenever we get tired (frustrated, infuriated or disgusted) we should pull into one of these rest areas and take a break (think clearly, objectively and impersonally) before we decide where the journey ends. During one of my many voyages up to Haverhill, NH in the late fall season of 2006 I stopped over at a local restaurant in Swiftwater for an early breakfast. During this period I was incognito (no shirt and tie, suit jacket and shined shoes on this visit), wearing a red-checkered hunting jacket, scent-free boots and a blaze- orange cap. It was bow-hunting season and I was there “scouting” areas to later be searched by our Team. It truly is beautiful wilderness country up in the Great North Woods and hunting is not a pass time up there, it’s a way of life for many Northern NH residents. So as not to insult anyone I won’t mention the name of the restaurant (all the locals know the one I refer to) but it’s very large and I was seated alone at a table perusing my Topo-maps while waiting for my breakfast. There were four men seated at a table behind me, similarly attired, discussing a house fire the previous night and laughing about the total loss of the property when one of the men said “….they got what they deserved” and the others agreed. These four men were not out-of-towners nor were they hunters; they were local guys of the lowest ilk. My breakfast arrived (it was a huge breakfast for the cost of a Dunkin Donuts meal) and as I ate I overheard several comments about this one and that one, who the “rats” were (informants) and what they had in mind in dealing with these people. Now during the hour I was there I “ear-witnessed” those referred to here on this forum as “scum-bags/dirt-bags” first hand. There is little doubt in my mind that there are some very bad people living up in that area, criminals in fact. I have posted my gratitude and admiration for all the wonderful, good Christian citizens in and around the Haverhill, NH area who have assisted and participated in the search for young Maura Murray. All those good, caring, loving people are living (with or without blinders on, for their own peace of mind) amongst the likes of those four men and others like them. I am also a registered voter in the great State of New Hampshire and proud to say so, but I take no offense when someone from another state/country has negative things to say about my state/city or neighborhood simply because I’m doing my part in balancing the scales. Every poster has the right to post what he/she feels on this public forum, it would be nice if the posts are related to Maura’s plight, before/during and after her disappearance. However, even if the posts are not directly related to the topic-at-hand (as this one is) they are necessary to give us insight into our fellow posters….Caveman/Lawyer/SockPu ppet….only in California..LOL. Stick around Elsewhere and anyone else who gets tired; use the “rest-areas” before you end your journey. Respectfully, Weeper PS….I did see two Does while in the forest that weekend but kept my arrows in the quiver since I’d already put venison in the freezer that year. |

4 I imagine if I did let people go through my yard. Maybe more than once. And yet people are still thinking they have a right to just trespass on my property anytime, you bet I would be more than a little miffed. I would be livid. I have taught my boys the definition of stupid is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Those people that have seen Fred and possibly an entourage walk on their property over and over may have decided that Maura isn’t on their property. Why after searching did he keep coming back to the same area? Was he trying to project a presence instead of actually finding Maura? He will show them what a PIA he can be? To maybe somehow intimidate the locals into cooperating? These are questions. I don’t know the answers but if he was walking on my property over and over again I would politely warn him personally. If he did it after that I’d call the police also. I would also help him search anywhere he had permission to search. Every free minute I had, as long as he had areas to look at that I could search legally. Bill |

3 No one has ever said there are no bad people in Haverhill/ Bath/ Swiftwater/ Woodsville area. There are bad people everywhere in this world but to put all the people in an area in the same catagory as a few bad apples is wrong. Sorry. Umm it seems that someone came and took that large restaurant in Swiftwater that you speak of because I've never seen it. |

1 Wowzer, Yes I did report the conversation I overheard to the authorities along with descriptions date/time and registration numbers from two vehicles, I have a duty to do so. These guys were not sitting next to me, they were behind me and they didn't seem to concerned who may have overheard them. The location was actually in Haverhill accross from the Nooktia Motel (incorrect spelling, I'm sure) not Swiftwater, my error. I am not putting all people in an area into the same catagory as a few bad apples, Wowzer I simply stated my experiance at that encounter. I also mentioned "the good Christian, loving, caring people who have assisted and participated in the searches for Maura" from that same area, they are certainly not in the same catagory as those four criminals. I live in the largest city in this state, downtown in fact so I don't have to travel any further than accross the street to bump into "really bad people", yet I love this city and never said there wasn't any bad people here. If you found any insult in my post maybe you are lookng at it wrong, I don't know. Weeper |

2 I found this on the "Forensic Astrology" web site (31st August, 2008) and thought that it may be of some interest. Since we are grasping at straws here, I must admit that I find the conclusions highly interesting. They seem to tally rather well with some theories proposed on this board and on the ex-MMM forum. Due to Topix space restraints the full text must be posted in two separate postings. Euro __________ Sunday, August 31, 2008 Maura Murray College Student Takes Time Off & Disappears Boy is this a mystery! And if I hadn't been so lucky as to stumble on it on Websleuths . I would never have heard of it. Maura Murray is a fascinating case. I mean, she just up and disappears from the scene of a single car accident. She doesn't even have another driver filing an insurance claim. I have another case I've been looking at, Geoffrey David Apke, where he disappeared from the scene of a wreck, too. But even with two cases on the table I find this sort of thing unusual. Who just runs away from everyone and everything because they have a wreck? Perhaps you run from the accident, to avoid confrontation with the cops or another driver, and you go home or go somewhere and hang out. But you don't just disappear like this, without a reason. Especially when there is no other driver to worry about, like in this case. So no obvious reason for her disappearance exists in the Maura Murray case. She wasn't wanted by the cops and seemed to be settled in at school. So my curiosity is growing and I draw up a chart for 7 pm, which would be just before or right around the time she had the crash. This chart is interesting and very clear to me. Look and you will see that Virgo is rising and Pisces is falling. Now look at the fifth house, where both Mercury and Neptune are just hanging out, in conjunction. Not an exact conjunction but close enough. This reads that she is not alone, she is actually with a boyfriend when she crashes this car. Both Mercury and Neptune are disposed of by Uranus in Pisces in the sixth house so I think they might have been impaired by alcohol or drugs. Jupiter is at the Ascendant and disposed of by Mercury, the chart ruler, in the fifth house. Maura is having a lot of fun and is very happy at the time this accident occurred. She was with someone she liked a lot. The Moon, the chart co-ruler, is in the first house, another indication that she is "where she wanted to be". The only dark aspects I see here is Mars in the eighth house inconjunct to the Moon in the first. But Mars is in mutual reception with Venus in the seventh house, an aspect that "brings things to pass". This configuration spells out an impulsive, emotional decision and action based on sexual attraction and romance. Another interesting influence is Saturn in fall in the tenth house inconjunct to Mercury, the chart ruler. All of this sort of adds up to an impulsive, out of control action. Saturn is also square the Moon, another indicator that emotions were running high and there was little restraint. In this chart we have a T-square involving Saturn, the Moon and Venus. Saturn is the short leg of the T. Once again, Saturn is in dignity by house and in fall by sign. The inconjunction to Mercury is the path through which the energy is discharged. Maura made a swift, emotional decision based on romantic feelings and did something that had lasting effects on not only herself but everyone else in her life. |
