Hi everyone, I just wanted to reign in on personal sighting of a Maura look=a=like that I personally ran into, I did follow up myself and found her once again living locally in this area. Although it is not Maura the resemblence is chilling.

Elsewhere, if Weeper said it has been followed up on, that is enough for me. Nothing is ever 100% positive but I believe most here are very thorough.

Paris, yesterday you made mention of a liter of wine ..brought from dorm/room...?
All I have is from the Accident Report.."In plain sight behind the driver's seat of the vehicle I could see a box of Franzia wine....." Was that what you meant...?
Which again brings to mind, CS comment "some of the bottles?alcohol? were missing" One of those many unanswered questions? How did he know that
"some was missing"...the car was locked..
A receipt was found later..?

Was going to "judge" your ooops Post as "interesting" .however, anytime I attempt to use it, my "judge" is cancelled, over-ridden, or doesn't work..I am never arrogant as to "put down" any of anyones thoughts or feelings, so
I don't use it anyway.
I remain, with most all, on the same page...What happened to Maura..?

Thanks Anne. Yeah Shack, I was talking about the wine being put in the car prior and really, who knows if she brought the bottles at all. Maybe they saw the wine, saw the receipt and make a wrong assessment?

In trying to find the bar sighting, I thought this might be of interest. I know some have seen this already but still:

Article from the Boston Herald

Woman foils abduction in Burlington
By Herald staff
Monday, September 6, 2004

Burlington police are searching for a white man who tried to drag a 35-year-old woman into a dark-colored SUV in broad daylight Saturday morning.
The man, who appeared to be in his late 20s, had asked several others directions before trying to abduct a woman who was out walking on Terrace Hall Avenue at about 7:45 a.m.
``He jumped out of the vehicle and tried to drag her into the driver's side of the vehicle,'' said Burlington police Sgt. Glen Mills.``We know it happened because two women witnessed it.''
When the woman fought back, and the witnesses ran to help her, the man got scared and fled.
He was described as 5-foot-8-inches in height, about 160 to 170 pounds with short brown hair.

Is this the same Burlington that Maura had searched on Mapquest??

Hello paris,
I quite agree with what you´re writing here.
Apparently the man in the NH convenience store has been located.
His presumed occupation seems to indicate that he may be rather itenerant, moving from one place to another depending where his work may take him.
Perhaps he´s a part-time artist apart from doing other sorts of more "mundane" painting/decorating work?
Yes Euro, why not? This is as good a lead as any and if it honestly was checked out to the gills, for all we know this man is being watched.

Oh by the way Shack, I think you're awsome. I've been listening to you since way back and you shoot from the hip. Plus you really care in a way that keeps me hanging on too.
Let's face it, we are here for whatever reasons, none more important than the other if they are honest and true intentions.

another interesting post:

at first i was a little confused about maura ended up going. burlington and the white mountains were brought up as the initial destination and haverhill is on the border. she probably got on interstate 91 in northampton (right next to amherst) went north up to the woodsville/haverhill area onto 112 and actually had the accident inside the white mountain national park area or whatever its called. so its interesting she actually came so close to wherever she was going (if she didnt actually get there).

its sad to think that this is beginning to be forgotten about....

Okay, has anyone ever written a 3 paragragh post and hit, post comment, and it disappeared? I dont know where it went, has anyone seen it?

Well, I am kind of glad it didnt post, because basically you all covered what I was typing, while I was typing and being distracted a zillion times!

The jest of what I said, in case anyone does find it floating around was, kidnappers and murderers, are someone's friend, someone's relative, they are blue collar workers, white collar workers, painters, artists, trainsients, etc.... Rarely are they someone that no one in the world knows.

Most artists do have additional income, I think.(or at least I thought that was what "struggling artists" do)

I just wondered about the fact that the store clerk knew him,how that fact didnt make him a bad guy. Just keeping in mind that, if I have my facts straight, Maura had been missing for two years at that point? So, if this particular man went to the same convenience store every day or so for two years, of course the clerk knew him, which like I said, does NOT make him a good guy. But I can see from everything said above , I guess this has been checked out in full. Sure do hope the girl who mouthed "help me", was helped , even though people say it wasnt Maura. Oops, cynical again!(spelled it right this time, though)

Okay, I have totally worn out my welcome with that point, I will get off it.

The woman on the Coast, is she the one in the bar? Or we dont know. When you say coast, do you mean NH Seacoast? One last question, what bar in Rochester?

Paris, Bakatcha!...2 thoughts...cuz I can't handle more than that, at one time..
Do you, or anyone, recall that there was indeed a receipt found in car for the 3 bottles of ingredients for Mudslides?(the 3 bottles some assume she put in her back pack before disappearing?)
Was it ever determined, what or how, cellophane and/or light bulbs found
was significant...?
Oh! A third thought...Yes, I also believe and trust in Weeper.

PS Half Moon..yes, I have typed and sent a Post.. Poof...it might show up later..I drive an old computer..so I type a draft...like Weeper. does,.
so at least I can rescue...and try later.

Toll Booths on 91 ?..I dunno...I use 93...

Well, I couldn't find the sighting story for you whiston, but I've seen it and posted it before. Maybe tomorrow.........
Shack, too tired to think about those bulbs. What would they be for? The automatic door locks is one thing that comes to mind. I had to have that done once because I always want control of all locks.

Was it wikipedia that had a list of all the sightings, or was it here? I sit here and wonder if I would even make the connection if I saw her, although I have seen her picture a 100 times this week. I honestly dont know how you all have done this for SO long. I just threw that toll booth thing out, wondering if it had been discussed, do toll booths have cameras?? Or was that something I saw on TV. I dont know about 91 either, I also use 93.

Ah yes. Another useful contributor. Kind of makes you wonder where she would have run off to with the alcohol and backpack doesn’t it. Why was that the most important thing to grab? Why grab just that and nothing else?
At least your small list doesn’t have the continual trailing off of words and thoughts this time. Usually so much so I can’t usually figure out what the hell you are trying to say. I understand tying several thoughts together is taxing for some and trying to express them in a manner that others can understand can be difficult as well. Was that succinct enough for you or was I being too wordy again?
We can play these games continuously or get back to the matter at hand. Up to you. I have the time.

Not being local to Rochester NH, I couldn't answer the rest of the post, but as for the "disappearing post" effect, YES. Sometimes they don't take, other times they're delayed, other times they show up and then disappear......SAVE EARLY, SAVE OFTEN.

You go right on ahead, allegedly wearing out that welcome. We need the new questions and the fresh perspective.

1Anne, it is always great to hear from you.

Half Moon, yes the NH coast, all umpteem miles of it. Glad to hear the state brought back the trash containers. The 'carry on carry off' policy was a fiasco.

I don't believe the name of the bar was given. I tried to retrieve the article but couldn't. I did find mention of the blurb in the Caledonian record, sighting in Aug of '04'.

Hey Firecat, re: DVD, it's the thought that counts.

Paris, thanks for posting the excerpt from that article re: Maura's investigation. I read the other link, Natasha was a beautiful girl, very sad. Like I've said before, I've read time and time again that Maura's is an ongoing criminal investigation. Lady Gray's posts are always very accurate.

Shack, I've been reading your posts for years and have never found them difficult to read or understand.

Firecat, Really do appreciate that you saw my basic Post as to what it was. I recall Helena saying, words to the effect, thatthe Forum Postings sometimes got away from the Subject matter. She would say that sometimes Posts didn't even mention the name Maura...and the same is for Topix, I guess.

Elsewhere, thank you..I didn't think I ever wrote anything very heavy or confusing.(Firecat would have graded me anyway)

You are so right about Lady Gray..after all, she pitched in as part of the Mod(erator) Squad when Helena was ill. And, of course, her knowledge of LE...combined with her better kept notes.
You and Mcsmom of course, help jump start my memory.

Half Moon, I agree with your Post about people
"kidnappers and murderers, are someone's friend, someone's relative, they are blue collar workers, white collar workers, painters, artists,...."
For the past years, Anne has been saying
"Somebody knows"....
I realize that those words aren't profound...but, I do wonder how anyone could keep knowledge of any wrong doing quietly within their moral conscience.
We do not know specifically the "wrong doing", but after more than 4/12 years, I don't see any "right doing" yet. Still waiting.

Hello looking4amosse & all,

Thanks for your information there.
I´ve been trying to check out any web-based information regarding possible tollbooths on the I-91, but from what i can glean, there don´t seem to be any, at least not on the stretch north of Amherst,MA.

So, it would seem then that this would be another non-starter as for tracking Maura´s Saturn...
