Quija-thank you. I just wondered if the person that saw the little light inside the car, saw the trunk light when the white towel was taken out of the trunk........just a thought....

Just to add to the mess Joe Mcgees' article also says that Maura met Sara Alfieri 'while working at art galleries on campus'.is this more than one gallery or is it just written that way.one thing that jumps out to me is how Alfieri, Markopoulos and Katie jones imply how secretive Maura was.also her supervisor at her security job did say how 'Maura ate dinner alone and whatnot'.i am still trying to get my brain around what has been reported about Maura on the umass track team.Julie Lafreniere introduced Maura to the track team which included Markopoulos.Lafreniere emailed me and said Maura had never ran a race for umass.we know thanks to looking4amoose that she did and a circle of hope ceremony was held in Richmond VA for Maura by the team.the MMM site posted that for the longest time that there was a gag order at umass concerning Maura so i did not bother to make calls when i finally did the detective i spoke with said there was no gag order and the case 'went back ' to NHPD right after Maura vanished.WhiteWash don't know how many local galleries.Joe McGee is no longer at the Patriot ledger.i have emailed Amelia Kunhhardt several times about asking for more pictures of the saturn contents, she was the photographer with Joe McGee and at the Wells River Motel with the Murrays.still waiting for a none tea and crumpets response.take care philip

In January 07 I was lucky enough to speak
with the Westman I had planned on doing a recap in 07 but was unable to recap any unknown.

1. Westmans are working in their home office.
2. They hear a thumb Faith goes to the kitchen
looks out the window and sees a dark car off the road.
3. She called 911.
4. The car remains dark.
5. Atwood arrives with 1-2 min per Faith.
They opens the door and speaks to the drive who is out now
Talking to him over the roof of the car.
Faith makes a point she doesn't know if it's Butch or Barbara's Bus.
7. Atwood is there 1-2 mines tops Faith says.
8. Faith sees the driver put on the flashers.
9. Driver goes to the trunk then back to car lights going on and off and
She see a red dot on the passengers side.
10. Faith goes back to the front room to help Tim on the computer.
11. Still on the phone with 911.
12. Hears a car goes back to the kitchen window.
13. See Smith nose to nose hangs up with 911.
14.Both Westmans claim zero cars came through in that amount of time.
15. Goes back to the Tim in the front room who is still working.
16. Smith shows up and wants to know if the driver is there.
17.There is no one at the car. Faith looks out the window and the car is dark.
18. Cecil leaves and goes to Atwoods and he drove down.
19. Cecil returns to the car.
20. That is when fire/rescue showed the staged at Old Peter's Road.
21.. Tim Westman goes out then to help. He checks his barn and with FD the
Parking lot and around their house.
22. The game trail is checked.
23. Old Peter's Road is check as well as up and down both sides of the road.
24. Westmans claim crews where there a long time.
25. Odd all this activity and TM never comes out?
Allegedly he wasn't home
26. The Westmans claim the road that night was a dry.
27. Tim Westman comments several times he is baffled she made around the
corner then crashed just doesn't happen that way.
28. Believes she did try to start the car and it wouldn't which indicates
that air bag did go off and she couldn't restart the car.
29. They saw no skid marks.
30. NHSP have been out there cadaver dogs.
31. HPD set up a road block the next Tuesday night for 2
hours.

I have crossed eyes from reading these posts for so long, but I wrote a couple of things down. Especially after reading the breakdown of the events as stated by WhiteWash, it seems that she went around the curve quite well, then lost control for some reason, did she swerve to hit an animal? Did she think she saw something but didn't something out of the woods, or maybe there was something coming out of the woods? a person and and she swerved, but it was a trap? it was a lure to get her to stop, that would explain why she was there and POOF, she was gone, she was maybe waiting in the car, was afraid of SBD, told him go along his way, LE had been called, it hadn't of course, she uses her cell to try and call, but then when Westman turns away from the window that is when the person comes back out of the woods and takes her. Because by the time Smith is front to front with her car she is already gone.

How else could it be? She's there, she's gone, almost in an instant. Had to be someone there waiting to take her, but how would they know she would be there, possibly saw her when she stopped previously? something. Haven't figured that out yet.

Seems she was taken or disappeared immediately after Westman saw the red dot of light in the car. That must be the moment to focus on.

I don’t know if Maura didn’t have an earlier accident that caused the damage to the hood and deployed her airbags but clearly it sounds like she had an accident at the accident scene by SBD and CW’s house.

So SBD possibly couldn’t see the lower part of Maura’s face because of the roof of the car blocking it. Not an airbag. Whoever said it was an airbag anyway?

I forgot about the no footprints thing. How sure are we that that as well didn't get botched by LE? Truly no footprints or footprints that were thought maybe to be just Maura's? but he was carrying her, so there were none of his own? Where the heck could she have gone so quickly, also what was the flurry of activity at back of car? who was THAT?

I noticed that you didn't add the SBD's statements or actions that evening in your list.

Didn't the SBD's wife call 911 about 'the girl' and didn't the SBD drive down to French Pond and assist in the 'search'?

White Wash the only photo's of Maura's car I have seen are the ones that were on the MMM site and the 1 photo that was in the North Country News. I believe it was in the April 04 edition but don't quote me on this date.

WTF it was CW who claimed he was not at home. Is it possible that you mean him and not TM?

People disappear very fast just by walking or running. All Maura had to do was turn on her heals and run and she would have been out of the view of the people watching in 5 to 10 seconds and that is if she headed down the road. Even less time if she stepped off into the woods. That is all it takes to go POOF. If you need proof watch a jogger on your street and time him or her and see how long they are actually out of sight. Now look at the area where Maura was how constricted most views are to begin with. How many seconds would it take to be lost from sight? Especially at night when people are keeping half an eye on things?
