Where is MAURA MURRAY

I apologize for not being familiar with the exact location of where Maura’s car was found.
1. Is the crash scene east or west of the intersection of County Rd and West Lost River Rd? 2. Approximately how far? 3. Is the Ammonoosuc River north or south of the crash scene? 4. Is there a railroad track within a mile or two of the crash scene? North or south? Is it still used as a railway? 5. Where is the Swiftwater Store? 6. Has it been definitely determined that the car, whether or not she was driving, was headed in one direction or the other just before it crashed? 7. Is there a map online showing the locations of the crash scene, the country store, and other pertinent geographical information? Thank you very much. |

Is there any indication that Maura’s car did a 180 and slammed sideways into the snow bank? Would the airbags, in that year/model Saturn, have deployed if she struck snow at this speed and angle? Is it possible that the car simply crossed the line and stayed in its original direction? Is any of this kind of information known for sure?
My apologies if these kinds of things have already been established. |

You need to refresh the blog page after posting or go to the top of the page and click forums it will update the numbers at the bottom. As a "registered" member I have to log out and back in sometimes,to get it to refresh. I believe it is a conflict with the Topix software and AOLs ( for anyone using AOL) it happens less frequently with Internet Explorer. Hope this helps |

claysoup, let me be very direct here, are you trying to lead us out in the middle of nowhere, when you can actually find most of the answers to your questions on MMM? Just asking.

Maura left her dormitory room packed up (as reported) in the precise military fashion of someone about to PCS.
|
|
She responsibly tied up all loose ends with returning borrowed clothes and emailing profs and bosses.
|
|
Cummins Pond where Molly Bish went missing was a scary, dark, isolated, evil-feeling place. It was horrible there (tho the scenery of the place itself could be called pretty, etc.). The area where Maura went missing seemed more like a sad place. Anyone else sense any difference between those two sites?

Were the deployed airbags ever checked to see whether there were indentations or marks that might correspond to a piece of jewelry, head size and shape, driver's height, button shapes, placement, and sizes, etc.? If so, would this help determine whether or not Maura was the driver?

Read this carefully Oh My: In law, defamation (also called vilification, slander, and libel) is the communication of a statement that makes a false claim, expressively stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government or nation a negative image. Slander refers to a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report, while libel refers to any other form of communication such as written words or images. Most jurisdictions allow legal actions, civil and/or criminal, to deter various kinds of defamation and retaliate against groundless criticism. |

Yes, PCS, permanent change of station, things boxed and ready. Someone with any exposure to the military would prepare their stuff like that from habit and lectures or as a courtesy for someone moving it out. Military also has little slogans about everything, including valuables... "If you hide it, they will find it." And Maura brought her valuable jewelry with her. She just sounded like a person who did things right and by the book. Some of the things she did may have been out of habit, like locking her car door, grabbing her cellphone etc. But it does seem like she was tying up loose ends at school, some of which could've waited a week til she got back.

Is there any way an editor can manage the comments by OH MY that are so offensive as to be dangerous? The flagging system doesn't seem to work. On this page, alone, please see #641 and #643. This person definitely disrupts information sharing and is out of control in terms of his accusations.
