If I had never met, or conversed or hugged Citigirl..I might think that she might lead us "down the garden path". Citigirl can only share what her family allows to be shared, with us. It is exasperating, I know.. Also, personally, she and I do not agree with everything that is surmised...ie the latest...re: partial bottles of mud slide ingredients. NH has strict laws about "open bottles"...ok...maybe they were in the trunk...(dunno where the $38-$40 liquor store items was determined) My heart goes out to Citigirl who tries to find any truth and answers to Maura's disappearance. AND, to Helena, Laurie and Fred who live daily with this nightmare. I have never been physically able to walk and search...but, I so want all our writings here to spark/kindle the "seemingly' cold case with LE/PI's. Citigirl and I have always agreed that Maura is not ....can't write it.

"Citigirl can only share what her family allows to be shared," If I were St. IGNUcius, perhaps I'd say... The more GNU information the general public has - the easier it will be for the community to use the source to collaborate.

Here is a tie in to what I'm saying up there so I won't look nuts. "But in fact there is one central idea that explains the others. It is the vision of a collectively-owned work (product) that anyone who is able can help build." http://www.citizendium.org/how_openness_works...

Every once in awhile we speak of "proof"...We as non-family can't see any documents to prove anything. We have to rely on the words of a family member or a professional Private Investigator. When Citigirl wrote the word "subpoena", it gave me a morsel of hope that indeed, things are, or were, being accomplished. Citigirl asked 2 questions here within the last few weeks; perhaps those questions have been answered privately. The 2 questions were date/time of Warrant by Landry and times of arrival/clearing of Northland at scene. I don't know why this information could/would be detrimental for us to know..however, again the family and their legal counsel are the ones to determine that. I will add, my own personal thoughts..is when I get frustrated because we see and read news bits about other crimes. I feel that if more bits of information were reported that this would get more notoriety in the media. The "bad guy(s) need(s) to be pressured. I still believe in a conscience. Somebody knows what happened to Maura.

"Citigirl asked 2 questions here within the last few weeks; perhaps those questions have been answered privately. I don't know why this information could/would be detrimental for us to know..however, again the family and their legal counsel are the ones to determine that." Adding to that - I gather it could be difficult to know [what information is located where - and perhaps even in what form]- I think it possible that some documents that answer some questions are being held at a county clerk's office, and are put there as a result of some kind of proceeding that requires judiciary review. Some documents, items or notes could be with the police - district attorney - or attorney general -and are evidence - however - at times to persue a matter further - the police have to get a judge to make a decision - and sometimes - evidence must be presented in order for the request to be granted. Or at least the assertions of the police. In other words - in some of the applications - the police would have been required to present information to gain further access - and that information may contain some of the answers we are looking for. I don't know if these applications are required to contain public information. Example - if the police say in one of their applications that Maura's dorm was examined at Amherst for blood evidence - and none was found - then we as a group could rule out a unimaginable scenario there. Not in the scope of the policing profession - but in the scope of accounting - all an assertion is - is a statement or communication made that he/she/it holds out to be the truth. I use the word assertion in a very neutral manner. In accounting - the word assertion has a very neutral connotation - auditors will look at a set of books that contain millions of transactions - all are assertions. The auditor is supposed to test those assertions (in an unbiased manner) by examining sufficient competent evidence. In the phone ping application for warrant - the assertion was made that the police had evidence from Sprint about activity on Maura's phone - that assertion would or would not be the basis for a judge to grant permission to the police to gather further detail from Sprint's records. I think it would be a good thing if someone were able to go to the court house and see what documents are there - get a copy - and scan the original - put them on line. I am certain that will lead us to further progress.

Thanks Anne...wish I could just forget about Maura's disappearance ....But, within the last five years, reading about the different murders in the area causes me to think of the possibility of how they might be linked...? I dunno...

Because I am sooo hated here....I do want it to be known that I have 2 elderly Aunts in Woodsville, NH. They are, and have been my Mother's "sisters" for the past 68 years. I was, and have been bombed here, but I don't care. My dear father's,(from Piermont, NH,) praise and pride at my very feeble effortsin this very sickening crime is enough to keep me from quitting. His teachings to me is, ignoring the problem, doesn't make it go away. I am glad, in a way, that he isn't here to know about the current crimes. He would be as angry as I. Please, don't give up ...MMM Forum or this ....Topix ..to find Maura...

tinkerbell wrote: OH MY I also heard that some guy was hiking with his family and found an article of clothing that was suspicious. I know this gentleman to be very trustworthy, so he goes and reports it to the police in Warren, the state police and fish&game. I spoke to the entire family who were out on the hike including children. They all claim the same basic story. However, 2 days after that, the article of clothing was gone. The problem with this story is that after he told authorities, and only 2 days later, it was gone! The area where it was found was not an area that it could be seen from the trail or road. This leads me to believe that it was a person of authority who retrieved the article or perhaps one of the murderers checking for a disturbance. Did you hear this? This is a post that I've wondered about time and time again.

this is what CS stated in the accident report.{When the vehicle was towed from the scene by Lavoies I recovered a coke bottle that contained a red liquid with a strong alcoholic odor} While looking over the NH State Police possessed property report date of report 6/25/04 with a possessed date of 6/28/04 there is listed 1 bottle of Diet Cherry Coke {opened} Cherry coke is red so I guess that explains the red liquid.

citigirl wrote: <quoted text>I don't believe Maura went to the liquor store on Feb 9th. She and her friends went to the liquor store on Saturday night because they went to a party at a friends dorm. So this could be why some alcohol was missing. She took it to the party. The liquor reciept is more than likely from this night of the party when the alcohol was purchased which was Saturday night We have not seen a liquor reciept. So I'm willing to bet if there is one it is for Saturday night. Some have made statements about the amount of alcohol but more than likely all the girls chipped in and put the alcohol on one reciept.

BF Yup.."time for change" Yes we can....
Elsewhere..hmmm..the "red truck"..that info.came to light the Fall of 06...I asked if Northland had a red truck (didn't really think I would get an answer)...might be they were the ones "looking"..? When I am up there, it seems everyone has a red truck...arrggh!
Had to re-read the tinkerbell story...(of course I don't remember it) There is/was one police officer in Warren.

quija wrote: To summarize my long post that was deleted from this board after midnight last night(why?) a few of us interested in Maura, one with military intelligence background, have found the area most likely for Maura to be found. It's away from roads, paths, houses with their lights, dogs and guns, off any trails and in very densely and almost impassible brush. She wouldn't be found there by casual searching. She's north of the SBD's house, noting to do with him, maybe across the river and she was not seeking shelter or warmth. She was evading people and LE. She had declined many offers of help over the previous 5 days, the last one Butch's. Who HERE has the power to delete these posts on an unmoderated board? If anyone knows, please let me know. If anyone wants more details, let me know too. Thanks. I was looking over old posts and don't remember more details. Did I miss it?

Lady Gray I'm not sure how quija came up with Maura declined many offers of help. There was I believe her supervisor that offered her help and SBD. 2 is only a few and not many.
