Also, it was quoted: AG office spokesman Jeffrey Strelzin said it was death by hypothermia. He has made statements in Maura's case that I now feel should be disregarded.

There has been a lot of interesting reading from Quija and Elsewhere. These were from the past Postings that I, personally welcome for
review purposes. Lady Gray, you came through with Silky's maps....for that I am grateful..thank you. I realize that auto salvage differs from salvage from ie kitchen appliances etc....but, it did bring me back to the paperwork that I saw about CM and his being cited for metal salvage around his rented Chalet. Several times he was cited also for having a trailer,(truck) filled with scrap, parked across the street from the Chalet. I am not versed about "scrap metal".. I have often wondered what, if any, information is in the files with SP and/or the TEAM about CM....his common law spouse?... (I don't wonder if HPD has file info.) Also wonder about relationship of the people who paid his overdue rent on occasion. Anne, care to venture a guess as to mileage from 10/302 to that damaged guard rail that Silky saw...? I know I can't. Back to reading..... |

Judged: 1 Just a brief return here for awhile, while mainly reading the posts and not posting much myself. December 1st will actually see the 62nd anniversary of the mysterious and still unexplained vanishing of Bennington College sophomore, 18-year-old Paula Jean Welden, of Stamford, Connecticut. Please, check out Paula´s Wikipedia page and you will notice quite a few similarities between her case and Maura´s. Both cases are highly strange indeed and they are both absolutely heartbreaking. |
Judged: 1 her facts from? The Caladonia Records was one! Did anyone watch the woman who was following the case? She said it was like Maura had pack to home and just never made it! Oddly that makes the most sense to me! |

If she had any worries about her health, or becomin too cold, I bet she'd call her family with the cell phone she had instead of hopping into a car with a complete stranger. Let's all remember to take in account this was not a stupid girl.

How do they know that she hit her head on her windshield? If her airbags deployed...?
And even with it still being possible, is it also possible that she maybe hit the windshield, or it was maybe from a tree? Is there anyway to see where the impact on the windshield came from? or what sized object it was that impacted it? |

Judged: 2 2 2 One thing I want to dispel is that the call made from a calling card CANNOT BE DEFINITIVELY TRACED TO THE RED CROSS. That is an error made by police. They were able to trace it to a calling card, but without the pin number on the calling card (for which one would obviously need the calling card) they can't trace the call any further back than that. Ashley, they don't know for a fact she hit her head on the windshield. That's a guess. The windshield damage WAS from the inside, though. Apparently sometimes the airbag itself does that, as it deploys with a whole lotta force to do its job so rapidly. Or it could have been her arm....a watch....who knows what else.....but they did determine that the damage came from inside. As for what size object, that's totally something I can't answer. Physics not my strong point, by a long shot. But that's a good couple of questions. It's been wondered, here and elsewhere, if she'd hit her head wouldn't there be hair or skin or traces of blood or something.....and we don't know the answer to that. Glad to see new people still finding out about Maura and being drawn to her, and caring enough to ask questions. She has a way of doing that, doesn't she? |

Judged: 1 1 Part of the problem is, there was a previous forum that was many hundreds of pages long, and it was taken down for various reasons. Only the savviest of us, or the most obsessively archival of us, take your pick, have records of some of those conversations. You'll frequently hear round these parts, "I remember from MMM forum that......" It sucks, but there it is. |

Judged: 3 2 2 Yeh, Maura lied....she is pretty, good student but, she is a young woman who lied. Wish we could get her back, to be punished for her lies. She was headed North...with her maps and written directions..heading for VT..? NH..? but, certainly North. Soo..if she disappeared in MA..and her car was transported to 112..or if she disappeared in VT, and her car was transported to 112..... or if she disappeared in NH and her car was transported to 112...it ends up with the same result ...car on 112...no Maura...aarrggh! |

Judged: 2 1 1 As we all do -(and agreeing with you as an echo) fundamentally everyone deserves the protection of justice and the interest of the public in seeking justice when harmed, no matter how "sinful". Even if the victim only lied once in her whole life: telling grandma that her Thanksgiving dinner of "Tofurkey" was "delicious" with "soyberry" sauce and Metamucil stuffing - to as large as you can guess. Even if she drank like a sailor - she deserves justice. Even if she [Insert Outrageous Crime Here and repeat]- after all - a person under arrest will go to the hospital first before going to jail. |

Oh Euro - I forgot to facetiously state that I look forward to our future friendly feuds -'tis not a fabrication, but my fiasco. |
