Perhaps things went wrong a lot sooner than we think? Perhaps it was not Maura the SBD saw? What time did this ping in Londonderry occur?

For those with better notes. Regarding the "directions" computer generated printouts and handwritten directions, found in car. I remember only Berkshire and Burlington as destinations. Which one(s) were hand written..?...and what were other destinations..?
Were the hand written one(s) in Maura's hand?

We know the Saturn was towed back to Amherst from Bridgeport because it broke down, wouldn't start or run very well, and she couldn't or wouldn't drive it, right?

Well, was it fixed? If not, why not?

Fred Murray drove to Amherst and went shopping with Maura for a car to replace the Saturn. Why?

What was the point of towing the Saturn to Amherst two weeks earlier?

Was the car in an accident in Bridgeport?

Exactly what condition was the car in before Maura, or someone who looked just like her, started driving it north late Monday afternoon?

Sheesh! these are not difficult questions. Please, does anyone know the answers?

BTW, BeagleBart reported that he found out from the repair shop that worked on the Toyota that the shop was crawling with cops snapping photos of the Toyota along with people from the insurance company during the week after Maura's disappearance on February 9th.

What was that about?

hi Sara it is anybodys guess if Maura was sleeping in Kennedy Hall.I would love to see a photo taken in her room that actually shows something hanging on the wall or have someone come forward with a before and after opinion of what they had seen in her room.Who in Muras life could have made a reservation through the Salamones for there condo in Bartlett N.H.Mason ,greta to read your posts.Do you know where the ATM that Maura used was located.That would be a big help and might explain some of the distance and time issues.

How can we possibly make any progress trying to solve this case if we don't know the answers to the questions I posed a couple of messages ago?

We seem to have reached a consensus that the dent in the hood was not caused by the accident near the Weathered Barn. OK, when and where did it happen?

A. Bridgeport
B. Amherst
C. Rte 112 before the Weathered Barn
D. Rte 112 where the car was found
E. Somewhere else

We're almost at the 5-year anniversary of this terrible case and we can't answer this question yet? If so, that is absurd.

Very good point there, which I was on the verge of bringing up myself.
If Beagle Bart is right about this, why on earth should the crashed Toyota of Maura´s father cause such an interest at the body shop?
I´ve never been able to explain this.

Not at my fingertips. Well, that's not right. The answers are at my fingertips, but they're in the machine, if you know what I mean, gene.

Okay, I recall reading about the location of the ATM and the time of the withdrawal (3:40 pm), but I only recall reading a lot of messages speculating about the place where she bought the booze. The cops found the receipt in the car. The vodka, kahlua, and bailey's were missing and the box of wine had not been opened. It ruptured from the force of the accident.

I would probably settle for alternative C with the possibility that the accident might have occurred even earlier, say on the co-signed US302/NH10 between Woodsville and the NH112 intersection.
Less likely but still possible may even be an earlier accident further east on NH112 if the Saturn in fact had been driven from Lincoln/North Woodstock towards Swiftwater/Woodsville.
Again, very frustratingly, we can only keep guessing for want of any kind of real facts...
You´re so right, Mason: This is truly an absurd situation after nearly 5 years.

Thanks for the article post - first time I've read it & first time I knew of other hit/runs happening at UMass.The two girls that were hit in addition to Vasi - I see from another article that LE did find the driver that hit one of the girls and arrest her for drunk driving. No mention if there was ever an arrest for the other girl that was hit; and of course neither has there been an arrest for Vasi's accident. Same girl they arrested? Chances of that would be...? I don't know when the ping occurred. I recall reading that it was Monday afternoon or early evening, but I may be mistaken.

Random abduction seems extremely unlikely at that particular location on a Monday night. This wasn't a dangerous part of a major urban city and I think she would have struggled and screamed for help if anyone tried to abduct her and I don't see her hoping into a stranger's car.

Good point, Scooter. Did you know that Billy's mom paid the bill? She bought it for Maura to use so that she could call Billy.

Methinks Maura believed that phone came with some strings attached, eh what?

Maybe the Saturn was possessed by an evil spirit. Anybody recall that silly horror movie about a possessed car.
