There are advantages to such a forum -- searchable posts is a big one as we all know Topix is not searchable. I've promised to preserve poster anonymity so everyone can feel free to say what they want/need to say ... if posters are contributing nothing but spam, they'll be outta there. I've seen some discussion over the last week or so about setting up other threads on Topix for pursuing specific aspects of Maura's case, and it seems to me that would be unwieldy to manage whereas different threads pursuing specific aspects in one forum are not difficult to manage. Thus far, though, I haven't seen any comments at all following up on my previous posts about the forum I set up -- so I don't know if the lack of comment means no one is interested, or whether my posts got lost in the stream, or whether somehow most of you are not even seeing them for some reason. I'd like to know whether y'all are interested in a dedicated forum, as I'm not going to put more work into compiling resources and information if no one really wants that type of posting option. It's not my nature to "push" anything onto anyone, so this is the last post I'll make about it unless folks are interested. . Not ignored, Advocator...definitely lost in the shuffle. Excellent option. Lady Gray? ScooterD? Anne? Elsewherebriefly? Anybody else?

Also scary and disgusting. That went way over the top. It does seem wise to unite Snowy. We shall see.

It doesn't matter if anyone thinks you are Big Foot, an alien from outer space or if no one even believes you. If your content is pertinent - it still could help. Its that simple.

Sophie Bean: Internet machine gun, loaded with harmless and invisible bullets. Sophie Bean wrote: "Mason's quote:" [Without the apology] "***'No one here should want to be the target of or a witness to how nasty I can be, if pushed far enough.'***" "Little man, no one here is the least bit afraid of you. We are here, all of your varied attempts to remove attention from MAURA notwithstanding, and we are not about to be threatened or intimidated in any way." Lets see - Sophie is nasty to Mason. Mason says he can be nasty too. Suddenly you claim that he's trying to threaten and intimidate you. Problem is that the boogie man can't travel through copper telephone wire. I haven't read more then possibly a few posts of yours that discusses the evidence. So I don't know what you think you are searching for, but clearly its an outlet for your anger and your love for the sport of spewing venom. "How interesting that "you" (in its most inclusive and plural sense)" Oh please - Mason has posted so frequently and right after the CNN special - no way he could be more then one person. I'm not convinced your paranoid though - just sinister. "should try to silence us with a threat." You are a laugh riot. "It's probably worth considering that perhaps 70% of the Topix posts here are attempts to throw us off the search." "The nonsense of the humanoid bot may be more than a sad internet ploy for attention." Nonsense is arguing for solutionless discussion. Ok "Dad" its your turn.

We need to act now - since Feb 9th will be soon upon us. 5 years is a big mileston and I think we could get some exposure. Let's focus on that and not arguements. K. I like this idea. Seems as though it wouldn't be too hard or time-consuming for all of us to contact our local TV stations as well as targeting AMW and other major prime-time programs that feature news stories of this type ... either by email or snail-mail. However, with the thought that Timing Is Everything, my suggestion would be to kick this off at the first of the year and push for features to be run around the date of Feb 9. It's a very human-interest type story ...

About the Distractors... What were we discussing when the distractors went wild here? ---Petrit Vasi's hit and run ---Other hit and runs in the days before Maura left ---Maura talking to her dad late Sunday night and possibly telling him about a problem she had? ---Maura's dad's work schedule 90 minutes (?) south in CT. ---When Fred returned NH LE's phone call(s) ---Maura's dad maybe helping her resolve a problem ---Reason Maura left WP These are very sensitive and provocative topics. I don't know if the posters were purposefully leading away from these themes, or if these ideas just triggered "an excitable boy". Maybe some of these discussions should take place over at Advocator's new site?

My point is Fred said it how does one make that leap into that statement then say it was out of context? I think when people say things yes they should be held accountable regardless of the situation! It's called being an adult! HPD had zero clue who or what Maura was! Where do you think that information came from? Her family the first month of press was Fred telling Maura they would work it out as they always had! Then he launched into we should be scared she was Murdered! I'm sorry you don't understand this fact that living here is a bit different that you reading about it! Snowy White wrote: <quoted text> I don't following your logic...so I must not have communicated clearly. I gather your suggestion that everything we utter or think should be held against us, especially in times of distress? That's swell. Please add me to the list of dopes.

My question is still the same! Which is what other context is there to Fred's statement?

Veteran officers who have dealt with these situations say in such stressful moments, people return to an area where they had once found happiness or other spiritual reasons.“How many others have there been over the years?” Bruno mused, noting that some people may have never been reported missing.“I know there are others out there who have never been found. If I sat down, I could probably come up with quite a few others.” There is no list, per se, of people believed missing in the White Mountains. Bruno, a 24-year veteran of State Police". Like I said before, I'm be more apt to believe NHSP brought up the possibility of Maura running away or committing suicide FIRST!

Perhaps people that want to actually talk about what happened to MM would be better off on your forum. This one has been sabotaged by people that do not want to talk about what happened to MM.

Mr. Murray was trying to be agreeable and helpful with LE while also ensuring he was not to getting in their way while they were doing their jobs those first days. Mr. Murray put a tremendous amount of faith in LE and his words were used against him in return. So weren't Billy's. But in Billy's case LE ignored his statements and announced that Maura and Billy were having relationship troubles! Who repeated the squaw walk conversation to begin with? How do you know Mr. Murray had to explain the squaw walk to HPD?

To me, very significant, and indicates she meant to return to the car in a reasonable amount of time. Advocator - your idea is great, and I am willing to help.
