Ok if you look at the log Fred's call came in when? NHSP issued that statement when? After Fred's phone call. My statement is where once again did LE gain information? LE has one car with no driver! Seriously who is filling in the blanks for them? Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm???? elsewherebriefly wrote: <quoted text> "Local police say they get field several calls a year from relatives reporting that loved ones may have headed for the mountains intending to end their lives. Veteran officers who have dealt with these situations say in such stressful moments, people return to an area where they had once found happiness or other spiritual reasons.“How many others have there been over the years?” Bruno mused, noting that some people may have never been reported missing.“I know there are others out there who have never been found. If I sat down, I could probably come up with quite a few others.” There is no list, per se, of people believed missing in the White Mountains. Bruno, a 24-year veteran of State Police". Like I said before, I'm be more apt to believe NHSP brought up the possibility of Maura running away or committing suicide FIRST!

personally, I would love to have mm site back, where everyone was treated fairly and with respect. With that said something needs to change here, this is so unproductive. There has very little progress in 10000 posts. Since it is vital to keep Maura's name out there, I will wait (inpatiently lol) for someone to take the lead.

You trust their words, because they're giving you answers of any kind, even if they're not the ones you'd hoped for. They're the authority. The Murrays and Rausches didn't go into this with a predetermined dislike or distrust of LE. Please remember this. Limulus made sure their "dislike or distrust of LE" became properly cultivated and focused on a suitable department. This is all planned well in advance.

Same scenerio with the belief that Maura ran away or committed suicide. I think those statements from Bruno and that article I posted earlier reflects certain preconceptions LE may have. Thus LE bringing up Maura running away and committing suicide FIRST. Hey, I am not trying to bash LE I'm just trying to get my point across.

Limulus always has the lead. We give those we honor a head start in the woods. We relied on a stocky hunter, very stealthy, though often at sea. He hunts well in Jackson and Palmer. He knows the hobby stores.

Can you actually sit there and say the locals were treated fairly and with respect???? Before you answer remember that there are some here that were on the old MMM forum and know the truth.

What those are actual witness statements? That got changed by family,Media over time! And Fred's statement so you are saying all these records filed in court are useless. What is the whole point of taking statements and reports? You point is that it's ok to go back and change things to work for your theory and that fine for you doesn't work some of us! So we have made our points! Forward! elsewherebriefly wrote: <quoted text> Hmm, who was filling in the blanks for them when LE initially believed Maura was a classic DUI leaving the scene? Bill, Yes, I do think substantial progress was made on MMM site. It is obvious that the bashing of the MMM is the chief 'progress' here, because a high percentage of posts are BASHING MMM. It is an apparent and only noticeable objective here. IMHO people need to let it go.

When the police went door to door from the dorm up the hill, I waited for them to talk with me, considering my commanding view. I welcomed them inside and casually offered my help. A few days later they came back and took me up on my offer. A third officer whom I already knew well accompanied them. This third officer was from a department located a few towns north, next to a little business of mine. He had worked for us for a number of years. He knew things the other local officers did not know. It was a delightful scene, full of petty intrigue and pre-coordiated remarks. I helped them all I could.

Really why would HPD hold it in Bethlem which was held by Fred check the Cal Record. The press conf you are referring to was not the first. And the one you are referring to was in No. Haverhill. Sharon was at the hotel in case Maura called they where trying to use cells only to figure out later there was no coverage. Your facts are wrong check the Cal Record archieves. elsewherebriefly wrote: <quoted text> Hmm, the first press conference was conducted by LE and as I recall, the Murray family had somehow neglected to be notified even though they were camped out in hotel rooms searching for Maura during this timeframe. Gee, that's a bit contradictory considering that NH relies so heavily on Rooms & Meals tax. What's it up to these days 8%? Property taxes, Lordy Lordy. I know lots of people who went into shock when they opened their bill this past month. A 40% increase without so much as a warning.

I was simply referring to time constraints of press conferences, deadlines that must be met, battery power.....you took that a little too literally, I'm afraid, WW. And had god forbid you not found your parent, wouldn't YOU still be out there talking to him or her?
