Judged: 1 Once again, like so many other questions we all have, I don't think it was ever known why LE was interested in the red trucks. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong - I just don't recall ever reading anything stating a reason on this forum or others. And yes, I believe RO volunteered the info once she learned about Maura's disappearance. |

Judged: 4 4 3 By whom were you told this? Regarding the death in the family emails, she emailed her professors. Many professors don't get involved in the personal lives of students, and yes that includes not emailing or calling them to find out how they are after the death of a family member. It's an invasion of privacy, and it crosses a boundary many professors are not comfortable crossing (and many students aren't either). I have, on occasion, replied to a student's email that I was sorry for their loss. I have never called one to ask how they were. On very rare occasions if a student is usually conscientious about attending class and he or she suddenly stops attending for a number of weeks in a row, I have been known to send out an "everything ok? haven't seen you" email, but as I said that was on very rare occasions (I think I've done it twice) and both with students who had been in several of my classes. I also don't generally reach out until a student has been unexpectedly out of attendance for an extended period of times. So the fact that no one responded to Maura's emails--which were to professors--is not particularly surprising, from the point of view of a fellow academic. But I do want to reiterate my first question: from whom did you hear that Maura was asked not to return to West Point? And who asked her?(was it WP? her family? who?) And why do you trust this source more than the family? Maura's family has no reason to lie. None. |

Judged: 2 2 2 All I can say--not being involved on either end and it not being my place to say anything other than this--to that is I'm genuinely sorry that you feel that this happened to you (and your female family member). |

Snowy, she wrote it. As she explained earlier today, she ran it by LE to confirm facts and quotes (which is standard practice from what I understand--you always umpteen-double-check your sources) and then the editor....well, edited it.(it's why they get paid the big bucks, lol) |
|
Judged: 1 1 1 Sure they do.....at least, they show up on mine. Providing, of course, I answer the phone. Which leads me to believe that Maura DIDN'T answer the phone. Otherwise we wouldn't be having to have this conversation. Someone could say, "Yeah, it was her Great Uncle Mortimer calling from Londonderry." |
|
Judged: 1 1 1 Maybe it's as simple as it wasn't making her happy. Yeah, it's prestigious, but why go through it if it isn't what you want to do with your life? Maybe Maura's life wasn't about prestige but about wanting to help people, and she felt that nursing was more her vocation than chemical engineering. Not everyone WANTS to be a military officer. |
|
Fine. You're dense. Happy now?:-D (hadn't occurred to me either. I'm mostly grey, but apparently there's still some blond left after all) |
|
Judged: 2 2 1 And not only that, if you're so upset that Maura's prior life can't be known, why won't you tell us what you DO know, and how you know it? |
|
I knew that, but it was still one of the funniest typos I've seen here.:-p |

Judged: 1 1 1 But *if* she were asked to leave, I don't consider it a lie to say it {wasn't right for Maura} <-I don't have the exact quote, but I think that's the jist of what's been said. I think that is a fair and reasonable statement [even if it were true she was asked to leave {personally - I think that's kind of private}] because sometimes people make something out of nothing. West point I think has such a high standard, hell, I'd be honored to be asked to leave West Point, in that the honor is already having been there - a step down is still an honor. A lot different then being kicked out of most Universities. |

Astrological Analysis and Interpretation Astrology is complicated. To avoid confusing people with technical astrological jargon, I’m going to summarize my findings and conclusions in plain English and explain the basis for my findings and conclusions in subsequent messages depending on reader interest. I will begin with a disclaimer. Charts indicate influences that affect human perception and the decisions that people make. People have free will, however, and can choose to go with the flow, so to speak, or resist the influences at work and strike out in a new direction. In other words the future is not written in stone and at any moment a person can change his or her destiny. However, because humans are creatures of habit, they more often than not go with the flow and this lamentable characteristic enables the experienced astrologer to predict the future more accurately and reliably than most people imagine. |

Part 2 of 5
At the time of her disappearance, Maura was experiencing intense psychological and emotional turmoil. Her natal chart indicates that her happiness is directly linked to being in a close, loving, affectionate, sexual, and mutually supportive relationship. However, the thrill of new love excites her and she can quickly lose interest in a relationship partner who isn’t spontaneous, playful, sexual, and 100% percent supportive. At the same time, she has a bright and curious mind with a bit of a focus problem. She devours information but is prone to the jack-of-all-trades-and-master- of-none syndrome. She is constantly attracted to new ways of thinking, concepts, and ideas, particularly in the realm of higher education. She’s turned-off by organized religion and gaining new insights into spiritual matters. She has a strong desire to help others who are less fortunate than she and is concerned with issues of personal and global justice. Values, ethics, and justice are extremely important to her. She has very strong will power, determination, and perseverance. She’s stubborn to a fault. Independence and freedom are extremely important to her. We can see all of these characteristics displayed in her life. I suspect she was an outspoken critic of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as the military industrial complex. No wonder she decided that the Army wasn’t for her and she lost interest in chemical engineering. She went into nursing not to be an officer’s wife, but to be of service to others and she wanted to be a physician’s assistant because she could achieve that goal much sooner and cheaper than going to medical school. She didn’t want a traditional relationship and, although she still loved Billy, she began to realize that their relationship wasn’t going to work out. Their separation and her inner turmoil was taking its toll. |
