My point is that it would be relatively easy for someone who resembled Maura to be mistaken for her if she wore bulky clothes, a hat, and dark glasses, given the generally poor quality of store and bank videos. I thought I read somewhere that there wasn't a video at the ATM, but they "knew" she was there because she withdrew money. If they do have a camera at the ATM, and it depicts someone who looks a lot like Maura and is using Maura's PIN, it is probably Maura. But if there isn't a video, as I suspect, then it could have been anyone using the ATM with her PIN.

The business where the phone info came to light was replaced immediately by a gym, which is one of the most common places to buy illegal body building drugs. It's like buying shampoo and conditioner at the beauty parlor. It's a big part of the profit.
This particular gym is owned, at least on paper, by a close business associate of an Amherst man who was business partners with a UMass researcher who "developed" a health supplement of questionable effectiveness.
The UMass researcher's health company was "bought" by a company with close ties to the business near Saratoga Springs High School.
The 1920's track medals (featuring reliefs of Hermes) originated in the same Florida building that is partly owned by the Saratoga Springs business. These medals were conveyed to a certain "personality" by the owner of the business that immediately preceded the gym.

Just to be geographically fair, maybe Weeper and Columbo could hold a second "get acquainted" meeting near Amherst? In fact, there's a conference room available at the Comfort Inn on Russell St. in Hadley, MA that might offer a more discreet setting. Just a suggestion, a way to share some of the spot light with Haverhill.

There was a report of disturbance at the Pike store HWY 25 area, at 0530 a.m. it involved a truck, this information was gleaned off the internet and posted at the Maura Murray Missing site, or the original forum. I recall this most distintly, as pictures were posted of the store in Pike. This at the time was public information, I do not see this in the log, but perhaps another law enforcement department investigated the incident and laid charges, anyone recall. E.O., have you been to this area,or simply found the store picture on line, the reason I ask, is the area leading up to the store, on flat area, and is there nothing to be seen across the street, I do not believe they have the green disk light green shades on the pole lamps.... The problem too, is that when I painted a picture of the house on the hill where Maura was walking to and drew the picture of such, ironically it is LOG CABIN (it looks like the Swiftwater Store. One storey, and nothing like the picture of the stockade like structure, like a chalet swiss, sort of, that I envision Maura walking towards, More remarkably the stage shop store, have or had green dish like pole lamps posted in the front, I found a picture on line that looks idential to the Swiftwater Store, which I had no knowledge of how it looked at the time I had the vision. I originally discounted this site as the one in my vision because pictures posted on line as the likely store (before R.O. came to the forum) that did not look like the store involved, but this store was somewhere close by, perhaps on the 112 the beginning, sorry I forget, but the picture looked modern. The topography of the area viewed on Virtual Earth and Google Earth, match what the view looks like if you were parked infront of the store. If Maura turned right, she could then turn down, Goose Lane Road, French Pond Road, or go back to the 302, or to Swiftwater Bridge area...this seems in keeping if Maura was looking for a place to stay, and simply made a wrong turn off the Wells' River turn off, makes sense that you would find the nearest commercial business to check a map or as a local for directions. This makes sense that it is the Swiftwater Store, although this is a pipe dream...don't have a clue about these pictures that dance in my minds' eye, at what seems like a will of their own. I do not get the feeling that the store of my imagination is tall, or large for that matter, just the sense that it is well traveled, old, and made of wood.

One other question citigirl, do you know the time that Maura was at the liquor store, either by video, debit or receipt found in car? We know that Maura was on campus at 1:30 thereabouts re: phone calls and emails? What time and by whom was the last sighting of Maura made? There are two stories which are confusing, such as someone saw Maura around 3:30 or 4p.m., then there is another story of someone seeing Maura with a hockey bag full of beer and carrying wine??? Can you clarify the time Maura was last seen. Somehow there is the problem in my mind of Maura embarking on a journey at dusk in the winter time, it seems important to know of the time of the liquor store visit and her last sighting. For example my knowledge is that she was seen at the University after she visited the liquor store, which does not make sense, if you are leaving for a rest and stop at the liquor store then why go back to the dorm, seems like one would stop at the liquor store on the way out of town... sorry I am confused...about the actual time of events in Amherst..

Hello peri, No, I don´t know the area and have never seen the old Brick Store "for real", so can´t tell you about the location and topography as such. All my research has been done on the web, which for obvious reasons cannot substitute any local knowledge. I feel sure that several of our local contributors on this board might be of help on that account. Wowzer, Whitewash, Looking, etc... What if Maura for some reason stopped by the old Brick Store, consulted her map, realised that she had missed the 112 turn-off a few miles previously and then turned right onto the 302/10 towards Swiftwater, just as it happens in your vision? Or would you say that in your experience the details of your visions always or mostly corresponds to the "real thing"?

Re: Theories about the Hadley accident & Maura perhaps being involved with a police officer. Could this be a plausible explanation as to why Maura was not cited for DUI?? IF she was drinking. I find the LEO theory very interesting. Especially if she was working in security in a UMASS building.

At the time of Maura's disappearance, there was another small store/deli in that area....it's on the opposite side of the street not far from Stage Stop. It's not store anymore....I think it's a small brew shop or something like that. It's taller like a chalet.
