Please someone correct me if I'm wrong but as I remember it the LE were accused of being negligent in not testing the carpet and the PI's supposedly either lost theirs or never told anyone if they had it tested or not. When Shack an old time poster from the old MM forum blurted out that it was menstrual blood found in the closet you could just about hear everyone's jaw hitting the keyboards. I am not stating this as fact but as something I remember. I doubt we will ever know positively what became of those samples.

I forgot to mention in my post about the bloody carpet 3 messages back that an adult human needs to lose a lot of blood to die. I'm sure any of the nurses who post here can tell us how much.
We also would need to know something about the wound that caused the bleed. Blood stops flowing under pressure when the heart stops beating. Then gravity takes over and unless the bleeding wound is at a low point given the position of the body, there might not be much blood loss. Whether there was any blood spatter apparent on the walls and ceiling is another important question. A severed artery will produce a spray pattern with each heartbeat. Large blood spots indicate low velocity impact as is typical from blunt trauma. Small blood spots indicate high velocity impact as is typical from gunshot wounds. BOTTOM LINE: Unless there is a large amount of blood, it's difficult to form an opinion to a reasonable medical certainty that the human source of that blood is dead. |

2 That's the way I remember it. I also remember thinking that if it was menstrual blood, there wouldn't be any reason for anyone to think the source of the blood was dead. Then it occurred to me that the PIs must have been mortified with embarrassment when they found out after making such a big hullabaloo over their "bonkers" discovery. No wonder they don't want to talk about it. |

1 I think Det Columbo tols us within the past 10 days that her body was found lying face down in a brook on the far side of Mountain Lakes Lodge from the A-Frame. I have a strong suspicion that the whole bloody knife story and the associated bloody closet in the A-Frame was a red herring from the beginning. I believe the NHSP's response demonstrates that they knew that. Now, I'm trying to figure out the motive. |

h2 is Sgt Smith. lagoies is the towing service. yes, the word is locating. she refers to the missing female driver. cottage refers to Cottage Hospital in Woodsville at the intersection of Rte 10 and Swiftwater Rd |

Thanks for finding that and since he didn't know what she said on the phone because he was back in the bus, he didn't realize the cat was out of the bag, so to speak, and kept that information to himself. He was intent on monitoring what was happening on the road wasn't he? Do you suppose his story about where he went to look for Maura when he and Sgt Smith split up to search the roads might be a wee bit less than truthful? No, Brutus wouldn't do that because Brutus is an honorable man. |

3 Mason someone who lives in the area, and a few on the old form suggested the same, that he positioned himself to see what was going on, however, the view does not lend itself to a view of the accident site, so what was he looking at... Those who live near by might enlighten us on what he might be trying to view, Columbo, or Weeper too would know...what vantage point this would give him is curious, the neighbours found it curious. Myself,(getting ready here to be bashed) I thought that his positioning (speculation) was perhaps to hide damage to his bus? Or that he was carrying someone else on board, not Maura. That is perhaps unfair, but everyone has a motive for every action they commit. Let's look at the fact that had he been concerned with the safety of the occupant of the vehicle (not that he was totally unconcerned) but really concerned, he would have parked his bus nearer to the driveway. The fact that he went in the direction he did to look for Maura and Smith, when the car was allegedly heading East bound says that perhaps he had information that he was not sharing, such as he asked the person their destination. I am simply thinking out loud, and because the SBD was untruthful,and his actions suspicious even to his neighbours, it begs questions, WHY? Also, the curiosity of what he was doing on the bus, allegedly doing paper work, but no one goes and does paper work when there is an injured party freezing and likely injured and endangered by alcohol down on the road side out of your view. I am not accusing this man of anything, simply want an explanation of his actions, and why he LIED? The house speaker who was disbarred, lost his pension, got disbarred and is basically an outcast, why he LIED? Lying is a serious offense in a missing persons case, and it would be one thing to understand lying initially to the press, evidentiary purposes in that he may have been asked to clam up by law enforcement, however, given the price that this cost, one would think he would come clean, or that law enforcement would exonerate him by saying he was asked not to reveal evidence. The public has the right to know what he was doing in that he did not make the phone call, sure maybe he tried, and left the phone to his wife, but why then position oneself that one cannot view the person in the accident. I'll be a monkeys' uncle, just can't figure it... |

1 What can you tell me about the cell tower phone call? Have you talked to Sharon about it at all? Things like what time and was the call answered (number on bill). I can not find much on this but it seems like it should be a big part of the time line. |

I've heard for years how she is to be believed because she doesn't lie so I'm believing that she knew the results of the test or she would have had no idea what kind of blood it was. So who else knows the results and why was everyone led to believe that nothing was done with the carpet samples?? |
