So if she had retreive her phone and shower and dress prior to 2! So 12ish back on campus if not earlier when did Maura sleep? I can't image that Fred wouldn't bring her back so she could get some rest after being up all night! FireCat wrote: <quoted text> I seem to recall that Maura had to be at work at the gallery at 2pm. This is based on complete and utter recollection, though, and is not necessarily fact until someone can confirm this from previous posts. When did she leave work Sunday night? Anyone know?

In any case I feel it important to suggest - that if one happens to stumble upon a new fact - listen to your conscious - it will tell you what to do. Sage advice.

I have heard this from reliable sources as well. My question is this why would she leave West Point and go to UMASS and continue with Engineering? Why not stay at West Point is was madding in love with Billy! This just makes no sense. whiston wrote: hi Peripeteia and all,I have 2 people who i completely trust telling me Maura was asked to leave Westpoint.I dont see it as an allegation as this would suggest she did something wrong,I see it as a fact.Just as i am told Maura attended Umass Amherst I accept it as true.take care philip

Mason wrote: <quoted text> Peri, Since you admit that MAJOR STUFF drove Maura to leave Amherst, whether it happened in Amherst or someone else, don't you agree that whatever it was it's relevant to deciding if she left Amherst with the intent of killing herself or starting a new life? The people who live in the community where the Saturn crashed and Maura disappeared have good reason to resent the focused and unrelenting suspicion that someone in their community abducted and killed Maura. I would feel that way if I lived there. In fact, I would feel like I had a duty to defend my community and the police because the suspicion is so unfair and one-sided. I would be furious to be told that any question about Maura's intent and state of mind when she left Amherst is "not important" because some dirt bag in my community obviously killed her. To also be accused of blaming the victim and exhibiting some sick form of pleasure from tarnishing her image as the All American Girl would just about drive me stark raving mad. Why do so many people seem so unable to grasp the fundamental unfairness of this situation? Of course. And it is equally harmful and unprofessional, Mason, for you to accuse, by the implications of endless theorizing, the victim and/or her family for her disappearance. You can initiate a call to arms by playing both sides against the middle, but there will never be any winners. In fact, there are few substantiated facts that are sufficient to continue an intelligent debate.

Let us suppose that Maura's remains are found this spring. Given how much time has passed, we can reasonably assume that only scattered bones and clothing remnants will be found. Unless her skull bears unmistakeable evidence of blunt trauma, it isn't likely that her cause of death will be determined. Even then, if her skull is found at the base of a cliff, blunt trauma will not rule out death by suicide. If such is the case, will anyone still claim that what happened in Amherst and/or at West Point is "not important?"

Because Weeper and Columbo say so? Because the NHSP says so. Please.

Sara wrote: <quoted text> I understand her family does not want to talk about her personal life, but this has NOTHING to do with Maura's personal life, it has to do with the case. They are eye witness accounts for goodness sake. Very crucial ones at that. After all, the person that said they saw her @4:00pm on Monday would have been THE LAST person to see her in Amherst. Agreed. We know very little of any witness accounts from Amherst. MALE seem more hushed about their investigating than NHLE.

Albarelli Jr. "A former FBI profiler, who declined to be identified for this article, and who was asked to review the facts contained in this article, including a serial killer in one or both cases, especially the Murray case. With all the media and Hollywood focus on these type killers they have become all the smarter and devious.… I also wouldn't rule out that either state could see a reoccurrence of these events sometime soon." Maurice Godwin, a nationally recognized expert on serial killers, said last week, "In my expert opinion I believe that a local individual who has killed at least two times previously is responsible for Maura Murray's abduction and murder. Maura locked her car as if she anticipated on returning to the car once she found help. Her attack and murder was for a sexual assault and the murder was to do away with her as a witness. Yes, I believe a stranger serial killer is responsible for Maura Murray's disappearance." Godwin said the facts so far presented in the Maitland case seemed to point to abduction or foul play committed by someone Brianna Maitland most likely knew. Vermont State Police Lt. Brian Miller said, "We have taken no theories off the table. We give every lead and tip our most serious attention. This is a tough case, no doubt, but we will solve it." A New Hampshire State Police spokesman, who declined to discuss any details of the Maura Murray case, said, "We are doing everything possible to solve [Murray's] case." Fred Murray, who still routinely drives from his home in South Shore, Mass., to New Hampshire to search for his daughter, said, "Nobody knows how much I miss Maura. Nobody can imagine the hurt at not knowing where she is. It's a hurt I wish upon no one. I will find my daughter." You keep posting this over and over again. That still does not make it fact.

Alden, "methinks you need to get a life." Sound familiar? Noticed you used the phrase 'methinks' not too long ago. Care to explain to everyone what I'm talking about?

I'm not wasting my time researching quotes qualified by: "this will not compromise the investigation" - preceded by a string of questions. I assure you, they are there. FYI, I've compiled some quotes to refute your "jerk" argument, but don't want to play with you today. LOL Hey, Mastermind/proaganda firetruck...are you Mason, too? Just wonderin'.

Small towns do things differently. The town I grew up has whats called "news of the recor" it shows EVERYTHING - speeding tickets to sex offendors. Does the local paper show when someone is charged with that crime?

I thought Sharon stated she took sleep aides just in strange places to sleep? I understand she was a college student most of ran on very few hours of sleep! But as a parent I'd be suggesting my child sleep a bit before work after partying and being up all night. propaganda firetruck wrote: <quoted text> It has been speculated in the past that Maura didn't sleep, at least not much, which, if true, may explain a few things.
