Hey, Mastermind/proaganda firetruck...are you Mason, too? They beat sock puppet theater so who cares? Snowy White wrote: <quoted text> I'm not wasting my time researching quotes qualified by: "this will not compromise the investigation" - preceded by a string of questions. I assure you, they are there. FYI, I've compiled some quotes to refute your "jerk" argument, but don't want to play with you today. LOL Hey, Mastermind/proaganda firetruck...are you Mason, too? Just wonderin'.

Wikipedia: A strawman sockpuppet is a false flag pseudonym created by a user with one point of view, but acts as though the puppet has an opposing point of view, in order to make that point of view look bad and generate negative sentiment towards that view. Such sockpuppets will typically advance foolish straw man arguments that their puppeteers can then easily refute. They often act in an unintelligent, uninformed, or bigoted manner. The effect is to discredit more rational arguments for the same side.

Oh, here she is!! "I want to say thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press. I'll always love the Hollywood Foreign Press and have all the Hollywood Foreign Press action figures. Thank you, Will Arnett, for that joke. But I want you to really know how lucky I am to have the year I've had this year and, if you ever start to feel too good about yourself, they have this thing called the Internet! You can find a lot of people there who don't like you! I'd like to address some of them now! BabsonLacrosse, you can suck it. DianeFan, you can suck it. Cougar Lover, you can really suck it 'cause you've been after me all year. And to my husband, Jeff, I love you. Thank you very much! " http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/2009/01/12/...

Whiston/Philip -
Was Maura Murray asked to leave USMA (West Point) by the Dean of Students? A classmate? A roommate?
When you say Maura was asked to leave West Point, are you using "asked" literally? Or was Maura TOLD to leave - as in expelled or suspended?
Thank you for providing this information.

Was Maura ASKED to leave? Or was Maura TOLD to leave? IOW, was it SUGGESTED to her that she leave because her leaving would be more convenient or easier for her, for whatever reason? Or was she told (ordered) to leave West Point by someone in authority at West Point? Did she have a choice, even in the narrowest sense? Could she have stayed if she really, really decided to? Could she have insisted on staying at WP, even if it was not a good idea? Thanks.

Spousal abuse Rowland's first wife divorced him before he was elected governor in 1994 and filed a spousal abuse charge in June 1995. The matter was sealed immediately after it ocurred, with speculation that it was sealed so as not to affect the election results of the election. There was a request filed under the FOIA which is available at the state website ( http://www.state.ct.us/foi/1995FD/19950726/FI... ). Other allegations of spousal abuse against Rowland have been made but not substantiated. ABOVE FROM: http://www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/John...

Mason wrote: <quoted text> Peri, I recall reading that Billy Rausch did not find a note. He only found a stack of letters he wrote to Maura. An old note or letter to him would have been an unlikely discovery since she would have mailed it to him or tossed it. If he found a note to him, I suspect it would have been a recent note that she had not mailed to him, or a note she specifically left for him on top of her stuff. I also recall reading that the campus police said she left him a note. They entered her room first and I suspect they found a sealed envelope on top of her stuff with his name on it. I doubt they opened it. Instead they told him about it and he would have broken the seal and read the note or letter when they admitted him to the room. Yet, he supposedly said she didn't leave a note. I find his statement difficult to believe, unless it was a suicide note and he didn't want to say that in public. This might explain why, within a few days of her disappearance, he said he thought she was dead. At least, I recall reading that he did, although my memory is not firm on that point. Maybe someone else recalls. M THERE WAS NO NOTE TO BILLY FROM MAURA. THIS STATEMENT IS UTTERLY UTTERLY FALSE. It has also been retracted by its speaker, Lt. Scarzina of NHPD. The following is quoted directly (copy and paste) from the Websleuths site, by "Peabody" who is a close family friend of the Murrays: "It is a FACT that Maura did not leave a note for her boyfriend in her dorm room or in any other place. LT. Scarinza in his remarks ***First**** said there was a note and alluded to the fact that the note was a suicide note. Because UMass Police told the family they found no note and the boyfriend was in the room and found no such note, the family insisted that the content of any such note be shared with them IF such a note was in existence. AFTER ***much*** insistence that he correct this error, and the boyfriend's mother publicly stating that Lt. Scarinza was a "liar" in the Caledonian Express in July 04, Lt. Scarinza posted a press release on the internet (which has conveniently been removed for some time) saying "I meant to say that there was a note from the boyfriend to Maura." He did not address the issue of his insinuation that it was a suicide note. The boyfriend said all along that the only notes in Maura's room were notes and letters FROM him to her that were dated over the several years during their relationship. FYI: For those of you new to this forum, I am a close friend of the family, and have been helping them since first learning of Maura's missing." From Peabody on Websleuths

White Wash wrote: I have heard this from reliable sources as well. My question is this why would she leave West Point and go to UMASS and continue with Engineering? Why not stay at West Point is was madding in love with Billy! This just makes no sense. <quoted text> For one thing, at that point you were not able to transfer directly into UMass's nursing program (they have recently changed the requirements, per UMass's nursing school web site). One used to apply for admission at UMass, and THEN, once accepted, APPLY INTERNALLY to the nursing program. It was two steps. She could not at that time go directly from West Point's chem eng to UMass's nursing. Also, I believe Billy had graduated West Point by that time. I know he was a few years ahead of her.

From Peabody on Websleuths Peabody also stated (on websleuths)that Maura & Billy were on the verge of getting married. Which they were not even engaged. And Fred had no clue they were talking about an engagement, never mind marriage. I don't think Peabody's word is fact.
